Supply lines without assigning[]

I have supply lines from here the moment I use the workshop and even with no settlers. The supply lines run to Sanctuary and Oberland Station but have no one assigned to them but do show on the supply lines map, as far as I can tell they work because I have my other junk available to me at Kingsport. My question is if anyone else has this happen and if they found a way to fix it, for context to why I dont want them...though I know free supply lines might sound good I had my supply lines set up with Hub locations for roleplaying something that took nearly 4 hours to do with how hard it is to change the darn lines and now I have these lines going all accross the darn map! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.51.185.128 (talkcontribs). Child of Atom Reborn respawning[]

Anyone else have a Child of Atom Reborn that respawns in the house over and over? Whenever I come back after a signifcant amount of time elsewhere, one of these spawns inside, in the south room. It starts an immediate fight with my settler. I've set up a dedicated turret just to defend my guys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.92.61.108 (talkcontribs). Glowing One[]

The page should mention that the Glowing One found here is docile and will not attack. IDK if this is a bug or not but for me he is friendly but does emit radiation when I'm near him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Finchelfanno1 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Clearing The Area?[]

→ i seem to have encountered what must be some kind of 'Glitch'..i KEEP Getting prompted when trying to 'use' the workshop to "clear the area", which i seem to have already done.. including Glowing one upstairs, the children's mines & even wiped-out those in the neighboring crater.. Yet i am still unable to gain access to the workshop! Has Any Body Else encounter 'something' like this? Andy Rampage (talk) 19:25, March 21, 2016 (UTC)

Area of High Radioactivity But No Source[]

Has anyone else encountered a seemingly glitched area of very high radioactivity (around 15 rads/sec) near the steps back up from the lower part of the pier? i.e- from the back door of the house turn right and head down the metal stairs, then turn left and continue along to the other set of metal stairs, around here there is radioactivity with no apparent source, and if you head down it gets much worse. I've already scrapped all the radioactive barrels so it's not them, so what is causing this? -- Haravikk (talk) 19:46, March 5, 2019 (UTC)

I experienced the same thing, the radiation remained after scrapping the barrels. I fast traveled awy for a few days and returned and it was gone. You may be able to just quit and reload as well. ReapTheChaos (talk) 17:49, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Behind the Scenes Removal[]

The recent revision by Katy Webb removed the behind the scenes mention about references to Lovecraft but I believe this is a mistake (especially without discussion first). The place is literally named after the fictional Lovercraftian town of Kingsport, and with the sheer number of references to Lovecraftian horror in the game, that cannot be a coincidence. -- Haravikk (talk) 20:51, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

I agree somewhat. I also looked into this connection very recently, and I was going back and forth between removing it and leaving it in place. In the end, I did feel it was connected closely enough with Lovecraft's lore to justify having it remain.

Should it maybe just be restored but as something other than "behind the scenes"? -- Haravikk (talk) 21:04, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
My bad, I wasn't aware of the Kingsport reference, but that was not included in the original statement (rather it referenced the name of another lighthouse). If there's any place it belongs its BTS, it just needs to have the Kingsport note with it. —Katy Webb Icon vaulttec A better future, underground! 21:10, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

User:Kdarrow why do you keep removing this section? The lighthouse/location is literally named Kingsport, as in Lovecraft's fictional location. Sections of a page shouldn't really be torn out without discussing it first surely? -- Haravikk (talk) 17:50, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your question. Behind the scenes section is designed for developer statements or real world information that matches in name 1:1. It is not intended for guesses, similarities, coincidences, or otherwise non-confirmed information. Unless we verify that something was an inspiration, or if it appears in real life (or in fiction) by the same name, it is not appropriate for adding to an article. You are free to discuss ideas on the talk page or discussion boards, though. I appreciate your help in keeping the articles as concise and accurate as possible. -kdarrow Pickman heart take her for a spin! 22:30, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
The location is literally named Kingsport, the same as the fictional town that features in a number of H.P.Lovecraft's works, and which is based on Marblehead Massachusetts which borders Salem (as Kingsport Lighthouse does in Fallout 4). It also lies due east of Dunwich Borers, another location with clear Lovecraft references. Does it need to be named "H.P.Lovercraft's Lighthouse by H.P.Lovercraft (this is a Lovecraft reference)" for you to accept it FFS?
But what's most annoying is that you didn't ask before removing the section, you just ripped it out without consulting anyone. I'm not even the person who added it, I'm just the one who stopped it from being drive-by deleted the last time, and I don't want to be the one who has to keep doing it because nobody cares to take 2 seconds to look at the talk page first or 2 minutes to research anything. -- Haravikk (talk) 22:53, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Note About Glowing One[]

The note stating "The lighthouse seems to be powered by the glowing one located at the top, as when the area is cleared, the lighthouse stops shining." does not appear to be true in my game, the lighthouse light is working fine for me. ReapTheChaos (talk) 17:49, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

You are right, "seems to be" sounds very speculative and it doesn't make much sense anyway. I've removed the note. The Appalachian Mandalorian insignia 19:21, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Infobox heading[]

Kingsport Lighthouse is a settlement. The first note above the {{infobox location}} template reads, its a "Fallout 4 location". It should read: its a "Fallout 4 settlement". Qrsr (talk) 13:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
