I guess this is more useful if you use overcharged or max charged EC packs, since that way you save more money. 15:16, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

You can mod the Recharger Pistol with this.

RCW Recycler on recharger pistol

the guide says you can apply it to the recharger pistol but i tried it doesn't work.. have you done this? or are you just saying what the guide says?.....either im getting a bug issue or the guide is wrong--Silverfox6000 20:25, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Why would you be able to apply a mod for one weapon on another weapon? No, the guide is wrong. No big surprise there, those guides are worthless. --Kris User Hola.jpg 20:12, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
well...lets have people test this anyway just to be sure...to make sure you can't.....it could be a bug on my console...but i doubt itSilverfox6000 20:25, November 7, 2010 (UTC)--Silverfox
It's not a bug. It's not supposed to work. There's no testing needed, the idiots who wrote the guide can't get anything right. --Kris User Hola.jpg 20:19, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
i'll update the notes on the pistol saying the guide is wrong or something--Silverfox6000 20:25, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
no testing needed.... really? Good job I tested it on my debug character and it worked. Maybe a certain perk like Jury Rigging or skill level is needed? as my debug character has everything so I can test everything GhostAvatar 17:39, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
Jury Rigging is not required, that's why I removed that note after I tested it. It seems like a bug, but has a noticeable impact on the gun, as the gun is hard to deplete of ammo unless firing extremely fast (when it reads 20/-31 instead of 25/25). The qeustion isn't if it works, but does it work following the patch for the 360? I havent updated yet but it works 100% of the time with no jury rigging, though I do have 100 repair. Mictlantecuhtli 17:42, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry didn't know that it had been removed or even added. I simply added that along with the possibility of skill levels as some people are able to mod it while other are not, which means it is conditional based. Now what that condition is I dont know, it may even be a patch related condition and therefore a bug. But it is possible to mod the pistol.
As the ammo displayed amount, I didn't get that on my PC as it just read the standard 20 mag capacity. Which I was able to deplete even with the recycler (granted it did take longer to deplete due to adding a extra round every forth one). Which leads me to beleive that may be a platform based bug since I cant repeat it on my PC. GhostAvatar 19:10, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
thanks for testing it... but i can't mod it stll...i haven't started over to see if it's just that save though, mine has the latest patch....either it got patched or i have a bug......i really dont want to restart--Silverfox6000 20:18, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
It seems purely like a bug to me, removing it from the mod pages was the right move. Even with the mod ability I never use it, it's not strong enough as a weapon even with all the damage perks. Mictlantecuhtli 09:59, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
I have tried it on the latest PC patch and it still works with no problems, I agree that it seems like a bug. But I aint going to make the assumption it is and say 100% that it is a bug. However it does remain that it is possible to do. Avatar 04:04, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

it has RCW in the name...IMO that says it goes the the Laser RCW only...but i may be wrong--Silverfox6000 04:45, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

If you follow that logic then you should not be able to chamber a .38 round in a .357 magnum. A name is just that, a name.. and the name may have be given because it was designed for the RCW, just like the .38 round was designed for .38 caliber firearms. It does not mean that it can be used only for that purpose, another example Powder, pistol can be used in the production of shotgun shells and again shotguns are not really designated as pistols. Things are not defined by there name. Avatar 18:33, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
Each weapon mod is intended for ONE specific weapon. Therefore fact that this works on more than one is a bug. --Kris User Hola.jpg 19:32, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
Ohhh really, then I guess it is a bug that you can attach the mods to the weathered 9mm, or upgrade companions weapons with mods as well like Lilys already silenced rifle or Veronicas 10mm pistol or Rauls .44. But hey I aint disagree that it is a bug, but I aint 100% agreeing either and to base that assumption solely on the name of the item is wrong Avatar 21:21, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
it's just the RCW part is awfully specific, and that it's a little ridiculous to add it to a gun that has unlimited ammo and charges really quick--Silverfox6000 00:15, November 22, 2010 (UTC)
Yep it does but the fact remains it is still able to mod it, even after the latest update that updated a lot of the weapons including the weathered 10mm. ☣Avatar☣ 01:46, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Has anyone thought that they gave it the wrong name? It attaches to my RCW but doesn't do anything. It attaches to my recharger pistol and it works.--21:26, April 6, 2011 (UTC)ZERO0

The GECK shows under the mod info tab of the recharger pistol that it has the RCW effect already on the weapon. It could be the game just recognizing it as a would be mod--General Darkstar 14:30, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
Nope, that part is not what is already attached to the weapon, but what can be attached to the weapon. They basically separate mods into 2 parts, what visual difference a mod does to the weapon and then what effect the mod does to the weapon. But we will see in the next patch as this is supposed to address and rebalance the weapons again. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 18:13, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

"Maths much?"

I added a comment that the recycler effectively provides you with 33% more ammunition, but it was removed due to erroneous claims about the math. Try this out in game with a full clip of normally 60 shots you get 79 shots (rounded down from 80 since you can't have a third of a shot) 60*1.33=80 Please don't remove it again. 07:34, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
