Small[]

Maybe it's just a trick of perspective but she seems small for a super mutant. --Kris User Hola 16:58, September 15, 2010 (UTC) so this is the fawkes replacement wowFryingpan57 20:48, September 15, 2010 (UTC) I think it has more to do with her stance, she seems hunched over, probably something to make her more effective at sneaking. Still wish I had a POWERFUL VAULT 87 super mutant with such a lerned outlook on life and a gatling laser on my side in vegas though.

Get a Marcus companion Mod then. XP

I am really going to miss Fawkes, I play Fallout 3 every now and then..but it jsut gets BORING. I wonder if I can equip Lily with a Minigun, then it'd be Vice Versa for Fawkes, but yeah, I was dissapointed that SHE was a SHE. I was also dissapointed that they didn't make a rough skinned mariposa super mutant for a follower. And in my opinion, tell her to stop taking her medication, she won't listen to you somtimes, but she does 10% overall damage threshhold and damage she inflicts on enemies.

Lily's weapon.[]

Ok, I was listening to one of the Bethesda Podcasts on itunes and it mentioned that Lily's weapon is actualy a vertibird's blade! He also said the player could get it off of her in the game. Im gona look into it becouse I forgot who said it so I will try to find it again and post more info here.--Radraider 19:37, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Alrite found it. Its on the bethesda podcast episode 3:parity error. They where intervieving Jason Bergman and he mentioned, "its always fun to go into battle with Lily becouse she just goes nuts and goes whaling on people with her giant sword" and "you can take the sword off her, her swords actualy a vertibird blade." you guys should cheack it out.--Radraider 23:05, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Blue?[]

Okay, I really hope that is just a beta picture and that her final appearance will look a lot better, because that looks like something you would find in World of Warcraft. All poorly animated and cartoony. Actually, I hope they take her right out of the game.

What you said isn't relevent to the article. If you want to express such ideas do so on a forum, not a page discussing an article. She's the colour she is because she's a nightkin and the image shown may not show the finished game model; but really the graphics shown aren't really that gruesom anyhow. If she annoys you that much just don't pay her any heed during gamplay.:/ Wyrmalla 01:03, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Confirmation of behavior needed.[]

Quoted from the article:

Note: When lily is a compantion she will ocaionally have mental break down and will be in agressive mode until it goes away.

Is this accurate? It's written a bit poorly so I thought it might be, well, made up. Is there any confirmation that this actually happens? I'm also editing the spelling now, regardless.

--Blaylocke 20:11, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

Confirmed it does happen, the first instance of it you will run across will more then likely happen when you take her to hunt Nightstalkers on the quest "Guess Who I Saw Today". Also there is some seriously messed up vandalism on her page, I'm not familiar enough with how the wiki works to change it back myself -Capt. Sandy

Ummmm is this behavioral, because in my save file Lily is limping even though i removed every equipment i stored in her. Need confirmation, i need Lily she is pretty strong.

It happens when she receives a lot of damage/is attacked by many enemies at the same time but it seems to cease when you exit combat (when you crouch and it says [hidden]) Teh leecherer 22:03, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Super Mutants[]

Last time i checked Super mutants were non-humanoid, did they change it to balance the companions scheme out? De Accipitre Deserta 19:38, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

I think their classification of humanoid as far as companions go is a bit different, non-humanoid seems to denote lacking human shape all together whereas super mutants still have the basic structure, just at twice the normal size. - The Godchild --67.193.11.186 21:04, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Uh, what? Humanoid, by definition, means "similiar to a human". Supermutants are mutated humans, therefore they are humanoid automatically. GECK classification is just technical. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 21:07, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Someone please explain to me...[]

Why, when I look at her when she has her assault carbine equipped, it's silenced, but I can't get an Assault Carbine Silencer for myself. If someone has an answer, please tell, I'm beyond frustrated from looking for one.--Exeter17 09:32, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

That's an NPC weapon: Lily's assault carbine. teh_leecherer 22:04, November 10, 2010 (UTC)
Because God hates us and wants us to have loud Assault Carbines. Oh, and it might have something to do with her previous occupation as an assassin. Just a guess. -Malus X 06:23, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

Exeter @, If you want a silencer, you might be lucky one day and find the mod, I'd suggest going to the caravan in the Fort (Legion Territory) Or Silver Rush (Freeside Territory) So good luck, I already found out how to equip her with a minigun, it REALLY helps.

Lily Gone Missing[]

I had recently recruited Lilly at jacobstown, and i told her to go back to Lucky 38 a few days later i headed out there to fetch some equipment i gave her but she wasnt there.Ive tried waiting several days but she wont show up she had A LOT of unique weapons and id really like them back.If anyone knows anything about this any help is much appreciated

I have this problem too. I went into vault 22, when I was there I told her to go to lucky 38 and when I got there she wasn't (2 days later). I successfully told her to go to lucky 38 before and she was there instantly. If you have a similar problem with Rex he appears at the kings club after a while. Reidrobot 21:44, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
Having the same problem. Don't know where she is. It's been a week in my game. Orra 23:25, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

I also had this problem, but with Veronica and ED-E, on 2 separate games, they went missing randomly, and when exploring Vault 22, Veronica was standing on the 2nd floor (I think), then as I was exploring Vault 34, ED-E just came out of nowhere, any ideas, or if anyone thinks this will be patched (PS3) User:ValoR

Medicine[]

I heard you can tell her how much medicine to take, and that affects her ending of the game. But how exactly do you do that? I don't have such a dialogue available, what are the prerequisites for it to appear? --44 Magnum 13:18, October 29, 2010 (UTC)

I heard the same thing, too. From what I understand, one of the prerequisites is that she needs to have a psychotic break in the middle of a fight, and I think this only happens after she takes so much damage. An easy way to do this is to just shoot her until you get her health down to the point she has a psychotic episode (don't worry, she won't attack you). Then talk to her, and ask her about herself, and you'll have the option to say "What happened back there?" She'll say she hasn't been taking her medicine. But I still don't get the option to tell her how much of it she should take. --Desert Ranger 10:24, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

This is confirmed. She must reach half life and suffer a psychotic break (nothing really happens if there are no enemies around, but she might complain). You must then talk to her about the break. Then, you have to ask her what the medicine is that she is taking. She answers, anti-something or other that the doc prescribed her. After these dialogue options, I was able to wait 1 hour while near her and the holotape of her recording played. Note that I was playing alongside Lily for hours prior to this and did not realize I missed one dialogue option to talk to her about the medicine (name of medicine) and then it worked without a hitch after I did. If I had to guess, I already qualified for amount of time spent with Lily that the last dialogue was the final criteria I had missed.

Okay, it finally happened to me: The dialogue to tell her how often to take her medicine has been unlocked. I think all it takes is some time spent around her. What will happen is that you will suddenly hear what sounds like a radio broadcast of a woman talking to her children - the source is actually Lily playing a holotape. You can then talk to her and ask her about the recording, she'll tell you about it, and then you can talk to her about her medicine dosage. I still don't know how exactly it's unlocked, but I'll tell you guys exactly how it happened to me: I dismissed Lily and told her to wait around the Lucky 38, but I was also in the Presidential Suite at the time and I took a nap in the bed there. When I woke up I heard the recording, and noticed that the closer I got to Lily the louder it got. So I talked to her about it and that's when I found out I could talk to her about how often she should take her medication. --Desert Ranger 08:25, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

So what are the consequences for each option? I want her to take her medicine but i dont want her unhappy... From twodog

Just save the game prior to you telling her how much of a dosage to take, and a box will pop-up and tell you how it will affect her combat-wise. However, from what I've been told, each option also has an effect on the ending. What each option does to the ending I have no idea, but considering we're talking about meds that prevent psychotic episodes from happening (a voice in her head that tells her to hack people up), I think I can take a pretty good guess what's going to happen to her the more or less she takes her medicine... --Desert Ranger 09:49, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

I've seen two things of what happens to her of the three choices:

If you tell her to take her medicine on every dose, the end game dialogue she gives will tell you that her mind finally reached a point of clarity after you encouraged her to take her medicine, but she no longer remembered the significance of the holotape of her grandchildren, and thus she cast it away not knowing what it was for. If you tell her to stop taking her medicine all together, her mind eventually becomes unstable, and her personality becomes violent, with the once peaceful personality of a kind grandmother far beneath her mind.

The other choice is for her to take her medicine every 'other time' that's the one I have yet to see. But those are the two Lily endings I know.

Also, unrelated but the whole relation to Leo from Fallout 3 really doesn't belong at all, I mean.. Isn't it obvious that Leo is perhaps just a personality that was formed from her schizophrenia, or just became from her general experiences that came from her time being a spy for The Master's army and not some random mutant on the East coast? 173.63.94.157 05:15, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Is there any way to re do the choices again using console?

Seems that console command "addtopic lilymedicine" + talk would force her to take the medicine. I'm not sure though if it helps anything. --pyror 23:43, January 05, 2011 (UTC)

Leo[]

Leo has his own page. I am flat-out tired of the constant vandalism to this page with the same three people erasing and reposting each other's opinions on what Leo is. Fuck around with the Leo page if you absolutely MUST let the world know your theories on Leo. LEAVE IT OFF LILY'S PAGE. CapAp 12:31, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Gun on back error?[]

I often see Lily carrying her vertibird sword with a gun being "glued" to its hilt (Screenshot). Does anyone else has this problem? - ZuTheSkunk 14:24, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Yea it's a glitch, and sometimes the assault rifle model is used instead of the sword model. Use the companion wheel and toggle her weapon mode twice. Teh leecherer 03:26, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Musical note[]

If idling in a calm area with Lily, does anyone notice a small burst of string music every now and then? It's like a couple of notes being quickly played on a violin.

I think that's part of the normal cycle of musical tunes courtesy of the game. I don't think it's companion related. 74.102.88.174 08:10, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

Can you still get a companion weapon if you go to a casino?[]

I want Lily's sword. BAD.VivaNewNevags7 23:48, November 28, 2010 (UTC)VivaNewVegas7

I dunno, I want her Carbine though. Also, I wish there was DLC that added special companion related items. I wouldn't mind Lily as much if I could give her armor to wear instead of that goofus-bug old lady gardener getup. Wait, how the hell did she get one that size!?

You would be surprised how many "large" female gardeners there were pre war.216.250.10.130 07:02, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

What do Casinos have to do with companion weapons? You can't get them through normal gameplay methods, leaving you with the only option of using console commands to obtain them. This is where I'm left puzzled wonder what this has to do with Casinos. T0xiN 23:43, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Timeline[]

She specifically says that she never saw the Sun until she was 75 years old. Presumably this is when Muties invaded the Vault and carried her off. If born in 2078 (how do we know this? Does she mention it?) then she would have dipped around 2153, possibly later. If nobody has any other evidence, I'll change the article. ComaDivine 10:18, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Lily's Weapons Disappear, etc.[]

At some point, my Lily's weapons disappeared. We went into one of the casinos and she was relieved of them, and just never got them back. I saw glitches listed where people got them in their own inventory (which I haven't) or Boone somehow ends up with them (and he hasn't either, I checked).
Also, she randomly decided to chase down a random gambler NPC and punch him to death in Gomorrah. I was a little troubled by this but it didn't really affect anything. Just wondering if that's happened to anyone else. Ziglet 17:53, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Good Dialogue[]

Well, Lily is clearly a "Wild Wasteland" sort of character, despite the rather depressing circumstances she's under. However, my absolute favorite dialogue from her, and one I was prevented from adding by the lock (hey, there's already pointless fun dialogue there, one more can't hurt) is whenever her weapon is insufficient to break DT "Grandma needs a bigger paddle to spank this bottom" - may be slightly different, this was a few hours ago I heard her say that. Whoops, forgot my signature. Think I have it right this time. Keep Running 19:46, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm surprised by the lack of quotes on companion pages. There's something funny she says about Leo after you kill House, but I can't remember. Of course, the lock doesn't help. 24.62.59.89 22:18, March 10, 2011 (UTC) Kaz

Age[]

I dunno if its stated in game or not that shes 202 years old as I don't have the game yet but the dates on the page don't add up to 202. If the age is coming from just working out the difference then it should really be 203 years old. --Alpha Lycos 14:04, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

You think that's badass? Fawkes is like effing 277 years old.

Lily dropped dead?[]

OK, so I was playing on Hardcore mode and I had Lily along as a follower when I decided to try and find Vault 22. We came to a pretty big group of Cazadors. Lily ran over and started meleeing them while I took 'em out with my .357. We killed them all after a while, and everything seemed fine. I went over to loot the Cazadors when Lily just dropped dead in front of me! What the hell happened, is this a bug? Lily was by far my favorite companion, I have Raul to fall back on, but I prefer a good melee companion. And I can't reload my game because my last save is an autosave and it's pretty far away.--Rnnlmb 00:23, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

The Cazador's poison sting effects companions on hardcore the same way it does to the PC. After too many stings the poison will linger and kill them after the battle. This happened to me while exploring the Tribal Village with Boone. I don't think you can get them to drink Anti-poison though so next time you hear that weird Splooshing noise of the poison and your not taking damage, you should stim your companions. --Exosion

Ah, OK, thanks.--Rnnlmb 00:57, January 2, 2011 (UTC) Happened to Veronica on me. "budda-budda-budda", my support ranger dies and then the last cazador gets whacked by her power fist. Then she says "I don't feel so good" and shes dead. Sad. Load save. Jauh0 00:29, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

I've had Lilly drop dead in other circumstances, such as when going through difficult terrain near cliffs or when swimming. I think she may have fallen off or drowned herself or something like that. The moral? Save your game frequently! Cjstokyo 10:05, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

There's also a bug when she gets stung with Cazador poison. Using stimpacks on her while she's poisoned will sometimes lower her health, killing her instantly. --Norman250 21:35, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

This happens with every companion, not only Lily. It's time for another patch Obsidian. Brfritos 17:14, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Lily Disappeared Near Cazador Nest[]

I was going to the Cazador Nest for the first time, killed all the Cazadors, then looted the explosives box. Lily was around before I looted it, but afterward I noticed she was gone. Companions do that all the time, though, so I wasn't worried. Then, I fast-travelled to Nipton and noticed she still wasn't there. I waited for over a week, looked all around Cazador Nest, Nipton, Jacobstown, and the Lucky 38, but I can't find her anywhere, alive or dead. What happened? Is there anything I can do? Lily is losing weapons given to her[]

She loses weapons given to her sometimes. I don't know if the weapons get shot from her hands or does she drop the after the weapon condition drops to 0? This is annoying when she is given unique weapons. It's really easy to lose those weapons forever! Be careful! I just luckily found the "Oh, Baby" from the ground after a battle with some fiends. The weapons condition was at 0. (Playing on PS3) Ozea 14:54, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Now I just testified she dropped some armor I gave her to carry. She's annoying, she's gotta go. Ozea 10:49, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

You can't trust an old lady with a mental disorder to keep track of things, you should know better!216.250.10.130 07:06, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

This is a bug specific to Oh, Baby! not Lily, when given to a companion the weapon itself will lower the condition to 0 and the companion will drop it. Lily only can use some of the game's weapons also, unlike most of the companions, so we have to choose carefully what give to her. Regarding loosing weapons I saw this sometimes with Veronica and Cass, specially if they are surrounded or fighting tough enemies. I was fighting a deathclaw in Quarry Junction and he jumps over Cass, hitting her hard, wich make her drop Dinner Bell. As the armor bug I can't say anything, I never had this problem (and I usually pack her heavy, with all sorts of things). Brfritos 17:30, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Holotape transcript?[]

Can someone please post a transcript of what's said on the holotape of her grandchildren, or a console command to play it?

Weapon Master Grandma Lily[]

Actually Lily is skilled at ALL weapon when I checked her skills using "giveav" command. She skills the all 5 kind of weapons with 112 when I'm at Level 35! Same thing does to Dog/God and ED-E too.

Maybe that's why Lily won't equip some heavy weapons such as Annabelle, Heavy incinerator and Anti-materiel rifle, because her assault carbine outperform them in term of DPS. She is so deadly with heavy automatic weapon such as Gatling Laser and Light Machinegun. She use Minigun poorly because she always fire it in bursts rather than spray it all the time, which is bad since Minigun need warmup to fire. And her accuracy isn't that great compare to rifleman such as Raul and Boone, who is the head-shot -machine of the whole game.

She also won't equip Automatic Rifle from Dead Money add-on.

lily kills others at the lucky 38[]

after i finished her first quest i sent her back to the luck 38 and when i take the elevator up to the suite she is fighting my other companions. it seems to be her vs. the rest of them. the others only attack her. i can not talk to anyone while this is going on

This may be as a result of having her keep the Mark II Stealth Boy instead of telling the doctor it is too dangerous. Lily murders my companions as well and I had her keep the Stealth Boy, but I have nothing to compare my theory to. If I send her to the Lucky 38 she kills my other companions. The solution is to just send her to Jacobstown instead if it isn't too late already on your save. The only problem with that is she can die in a Cazador attack while waiting for you there. It might be best to clear her inventory first, just in case.76.112.28.6 06:58, June 12, 2011 (UTC)KH

The Stealth Boy tests are apparently harmful[]

I went back to Jacobstown to re-recruit Lilly so I could finish her unmarked quest and possibly keep her as my companion in the last stages of the game. When I returned, she was standing with the Bighorners as usual, but instead of talking to her, my only interaction was to search her, and she was empty. The strange thing was she was standing up, and I swear I even saw her moving, I even "picked her up" and she just fell limp on the ground. The only speculation into her death I can offer, aside from Doc Henry stating how the MKII Stealth Boy testing was dangerous is a dead Cazador next to her but you'd think (since it's dead) that she obviously survived the battle, plus I'm not playing on hardcore so I assume she'd only be knocked out if the poison got to her. She wasn't my companion when the Cazador attacked her (and I wasn't even present during the battle, whenever it took place) so I guess it's possible she could've outright died. Can anyone else confirm this? --€;-£ 01:34, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

A companion is only invincible whilst there with you, if Lily wasn't with you at time of the attack than she was killed by the Cazador, the stealth boy had no part in it. - RASICTalk 01:43, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Assuming the cazador killed her, it still doesn't explain why she was standing up and tending to the bighorners, but then again the world of Fallout has always been filled with inconsistencies and bugs (no pun intended).--€;-£ 14:06, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Lily disappeared, Boone gets her Vertibird Blade[]

So. During the quest for the Nighstalker mutation, I decided to go with ED-E. Cleared out the cave and all that. Then i got told by the doctor to tell Lily to go to him, so I went back to teh Lucky 38 and did. She ran away out of the strip and presumably towards Jacobstown(I fast traveled). I got there, and Doc Henry started the experiment...with an invisible or not present Lily. He was talking to thin air. Then Keene(or something) comes in and i get rid of him through speech.

Quest ends, I wonder where the fuck Lily is, and i start to use Boone. Go to companion commands, tell him to use melee....and he is using Lily's vertibird blade. Lily has just disappeared from my game, and it is starting to piss me off cos she was awesome.

And thats it. Any tips, hints, or bug explanations? Or console commands?

violet's dogs[]

I was just playing and tooke lilly with me to go bounty hunting against the fiends, and took out violet and her dogs, when I sniped one of her dogs, lilly said something like "that is not a nice thing to do dear" and when we got close to violets body (as well as her dogs) lilly said something like "ooh, hear doggy doggy want a treat". and before anyone asks, NO i do NOT have the wild wasteland trait.

armor[]

the equipment section on the page doesn't mention (only what weapons she can use), so I'll ask... can Lily wear armor? would be nice to have her in some power armor or something... she already is big and tough looking. 76.198.70.129 03:14, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

About the Vault comment in Notes[]

If you enter with Lily inside the cafeteria of Vault 3, she will comment about her when she was a small girl and she will remember her first kiss.

I've actually gotten this comment in other vaults than just Vault 3. The Vault 17 page should probably be changed so it doesn't assume its layout is similar to Vault 3's.--Pimpin Chip 19:57, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

What Sort of Clothes Should I give Lily?[]

The fact that she can't wear armor does make equipping her problematic. The most highest DT stuff I could find in clothes were Contruction Hats (2) and Bounty Hunter Dusters/Dr. Mobius' Scrubs (6).  :( While Mobius' Clothes would give the poor knucklehead a nice intel boost, the Dusters seem to make more sense since it gives a gun boost. Can anyone advise me on what I have Lily Wear?  :(

Vault Dweller under former relations. im changeing it, it shouldn't be capitalized since it isn't the Vault Dweller from the vault 13.

never mind, i can't fix the typo.

So today at the local medicine shop i saw some phsycotic depressants the brand name was lily could this be a referance. Fryingpan57 22:29, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Lily getting killed in Jacobstown?[]

Nearly EVERY TIME I go to Jacobstown, a full-grown Cazador and a small Mantis always spawn right next to Lily, and they end up killing her. The only fix I have found is to keep reloading until the Cazador doesn't spawn. I am playing on a PS3. Is anyone else having this problem? This need to be put into the bugs section. Tocinoman 01:44, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

I've never had this problem, despite playing through the quest 4 times. You're welcome to add it in the bugs section for now. -Love, ΣΔ 01:49, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Lily dying in Normal before recruitment[]

Lily's Death at Jacobstown?

Ok, I'm playing on normal mode, and I went to Jacobstown to do some of the nightkin quests and to heal Rex. I walk outside of the lodge, and I walk over to the bighorner's nest to try and recruit Lily, but she's already dead. I never attacked her, she wasn't dead before I went in the lodge, and there's a dead cazador on the ground near her. Is anyone else having this problem?

Could "Lily Bowden" really be "Lizzy Borden", just said the way a nightkin would say it? I know she has a background and family as Bowden, but I don't think it's coincidence.TheJoebiusStrip (talk) 03:43, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

Catchphrase[]

If you take Lilly out into the wastes and become threatened Lilly will ocassionally , take over your work, rush forward ,and shout,"Nobody hurts my baby”. Her actual skills[]

These are all listed under her tag skills, and based on the fact that her level is shown as 0.75 of player level but capped at 22 (0.75 x 30, when your level can go to 50...), I think this is out of date and/or just wrong.

Skills correct?[]

Are the skills for Lily correct? The article lists Energy Weapons, Explosives, Guns, Unarmed all at 21, but getav shows they are scaleable to 132. Sneak is shown as 25-100, but getav shows 0 (and 0 for all other non-combat skills as well). Mad Dog Fargo (talk) 09:06, December 12, 2015 (UTC)
