Quote[]

I know this object is out of scope for the quotation project, but if a quote would help the article, perhaps the most significant (and still in force) parts of the Magna Carta might do (even if its not really Fallouty).

No freeman shall be taken or imprisoned, or be disseised of his freehold, or liberties, or free customs, or be outlawed, or exiled, or any other wise destroyed; nor will we not pass upon him, nor condemn him, but by lawful judgment of his peers, or by the law of the land. We will sell to no man, we will not deny or defer to any man either justice or right— Magna Carta, Clause 29, 1297

I still get chills every time I read that. Thought better add here to talk rather than the article as its not mentioned in game. Agent c 02:44, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

I'm with you. Although not directly relevant, a quotation doesn't take up much space and the page isn't exactly full to the brim yet. We were actually just learning in more detail about Mediaeval European history and covered a bit on the Magna Carta too. It's an important document, and if the thing itself is in the game, then a quote shouldn't hurt at all. SigmaDelta54 (Talk) 02:56, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

(The) Magna Carta[]

Since Latin has no articles (the/a), it's been tradition to write Latin words without articles as well. But like the rule against the split infinitive, it's mostly out of favor by now, just unnecessary pedantry. Using the for the Magna Carta can be found on several textbooks nowadays, so frankly I don't see why we should perpetuate this kind of awkward, arbitrary relic.
