Nathan and Manya Vargas[edit source]
I know, I mean it's ridiculous to connect relations by just the same last name. People gotta realize that even in real life, middle names are given for a reason.--18.104.22.168 03:51, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
That's why in my country we have a middle name and 2 last names :) (dad first, mom second)
This should be changed I mean Manny makes it clear he was Great Khan before joining the NCR and Vargas is part of the Brotherhood in the capital wasteland, both of which we are strongly told again and again are basically hereditary in terms of inclussion with exceptions only being made in extremely rare cases. Once more the Brotherhood would seem particularly likely to reject people with a past as part of a group of tribal raiders. This is a case of wild guessing or simply treating a surname as more important than any other information. --22.214.171.124 20:34, November 19, 2010 (UTC)
Can we get a transcript of the holodisk, please? --Grupa 'Zamamee 17:20, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
He went hostile for no reason.[edit source]
Not sure if this is a one off or not. After recruiting Boone I was in the gift shop buying weapon mods. I was waiting 3 days between purchases for the shop to respawn. After one 24 hour wait period Manny Vargas was there and next thing I know Boone shot him straight in the head. I went outside to see if any other townspeople where hostile but they where not. This was on the xbox 360 version with the first patch applied. 126.96.36.199 14:31, October 25, 2010 (UTC)Duranis
Bitter Springs[edit source]
Aside from being part of First Recon, is there any indicaiton of him ever being at the Bitter Springs battle? --Wierdperson31 02:26, November 25, 2010 (UTC)
In one of his dialogue threads in New Vegas he speciically says he wasn't at the battle of Bitter Springs, he says something along the lines of (but not exactly): I was stationed at camp golf when the whole thing at bitter springs went down. All I know is a lot of people died that didn't want anything to do with the fighting and after that people just didn't look at us the same anymore. This thread he is describing why he decided to leave 1st recon and what lead him to settle in Novac, I believe its at the end of the Come Fly With Me quest.--188.8.131.52 13:10, November 28, 2010 (UTC)
Removing Paladin Vargas[edit source]
Ok so I removed Paladin Vargas as his family because clearly they share only the name in common. It's most likely just an oversight of the developers I mean Manny was born here in North Vegas and joined the great khans I mean there's almost no chance they are related.--1stRecon 01:36, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't see how it's an oversight. There's many NPCs in the two most recent games and none of them are related, except that Nathan and Manya are married. --Kris 01:38, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Come Fly With Me[edit source]
Manny will not give any dialogue to start the quest "Come Fly With Me".
Only No-Bark or the intercom at the REPCONN Test Facility will start the quest.
Platform is PC with Dead Money installed.
Is there a fix that will not involve the console?

Manny made a friend[edit source]
Okay, so I went into his room to talk about the Bitter Springs Massacre, so I can do the companion quest for Boone. I walk in, and I hear this weird Ghoulish voice, and a bald man with a lab coat on. I thought the game screwed up and gave Manny a different skin... It turns out, it was that Chris fellow from the Come Fly With Me quest. I'm happy the game helped him find a home, and more happy that Manny has a new room mate. Moskau! Moskau! 20:03, April 24, 2011 (UTC)
Manny Vargas randomly died[edit source]
My friend was playing New Vegas and walked up into the dino when he heard Manny Vargas going "uuhhh", and when he came up Manny was not there. Then he walked down and saw Manny lying dead on the ground. Then a quest objective popped up saying "Find out why Manny died" or something like that, but there's no quest in his quest log. Anyone else experienced this? It seemed very strange.
