I assume deleting this will simply result in the article being moved from the all-caps Mantis Gauntlet to simply Mantis gauntlet, which is currently a redirect. -- Yukichigai 19:55, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Mantis Gauntlet / Cram Opener

Do both legitimately ignore DT and DR? Mictlantecuhtli 13:57, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know of any tests being done on DR bypass in general, so I'm not sure it even works on anything. --Kris User Hola.jpg 14:16, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, well you mind if I downplay those aspects of the weapons then? The mantis page says it's bugged and doesn't work, while the cram opener page just has a single line claiming it bypasses armor (not DT or DR specifically). Mictlantecuhtli 14:19, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
Well we know that DT bypass works as intended, and since DR isn't a major factor in this game, it's safe to assume that no special efforts were made to bypass it; the phrasing can be changed to specifically mention DT. --Kris User Hola.jpg 14:24, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
There are two types of armor bypass. The first reduces DT by a set number (used by perks like Shotgun Surgeon and Piercing Strike). AFAIK this works correctly. The second is a weapon flag called "ignores normal weapon resistance", which is what the mantis gauntlet, bladed gauntlet, et al use. This flag DOES NOT work, or at the very least, doesn't bypass DT.
