It is not possible to talk with Manya after your encounter with the Enclave as everytime you try to she will go "Sorry, i was just thinking how quiet it is now my Nathan has gone". This is because her husband Nathan has left Megaton, he was a big supporter of the Enclave and he is apparently found later on in the game

It doesn't seem very likely that Manya's father helped to build Megaton, as the article on the town states. If she was born in 2213, and her father was, say, seventy years old when she was born (long generations are unlikely, given the conditions of life, but at least possible. My paternal grandfather was born in 1864), then her father had to have been born less than 150 years before the time of the game. 2277 - 150 = 2127, say 2125 for ease of calculation. Now, say that her father helped found Megaton when he was fifteen, in 2140. That's still over sixty years after the end of the war. Did the people who failed to get into Vault 101 wander around for over sixty years (two to three generations) before they decided to settle down? Wunengzi 01:12, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
- We don't know when Megaton was founded; we know Rivet City was founded in 2239, when Horace Pinkerton and a group of scientists came upon the ship; we can assume that Megaton also wasn't founded immediately following the war. There would have been a lot of surface radiation of the faster-decaying type that is now gone from the Capital Wasteland. The only basis we have for the founding of the town is Manya, who lived there all her life and whose father helped build it. Also, Jericho is a year older than Manya. If I recall correctly, when I talked to Manya for the first time, she said her husband Nathan was always 'looking for parts for his guns', or something along those lines. It's most likely nothing but background info, but I think it might indicate a cut repeatable quest, like the various Scrap Metal trade-in mini-quests. RolandWolfheart 03:07, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
