The Necronomicon

The book, Marcella talks about on the Holodisk, could be The Necronomicon, this is the title of a collection of H.P.Lovecraft stories, including the Dunwich Building. It is also called The Necronomicon Ex Mortis, translated the book of the dead in The Evil Dead series --Three Dog's understudy 12:51, 24 June 2009 (UTC) Three Dog's understudy Three Dog's understudy 12:51, 24 June 2009 (UTC)--

Naw, it's this book called a "Krivbeknih". I don't know if it has any connections to the Necronomicon. Nitpicker of the Wastes 12:53, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Try playing the game before you give your (incredibly wrong) opinion, dumbass. It might be based on it but it's not the Necronomicon. SpellChecker 15:31, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Interesting

On marcella's computer there is a note on marcella's pc about the commonwealth. it says; " i've done what good i can here. need to get out befire it catches up with me. was able to barter passage on a boat headed south, dont know where ill end up, but thats the nature of his work" hmmmm interesting. Future DLC situated in point lookout possibly???

I assume you mean in the Commonwealth since you're in Point Lookout when you read that. Either way it's been stated that so far there are no plans to actually visit the Commonwealth in any DLC. -Ganon

I dunno. Maybe you use the Duchess Gambit to get there. Or Broken Banks, or the Abby of the Road... Although, I'd prefer to use the USS Ozymandias. Nitpicker of the Wastes 01:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Dead

Found her dead near the Ritual Site. -- 131.188.24.20 15:34, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

no shit Sherlock... she dies because of the quest. Legofan94 03:00, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

There's shit sherelock...She is suppose to respawn in her camp legofanboy...

There is a swampfolk ambush on her way back to her tent. I followed her and quizzed her on scriptures (Hail Mary is a non-conversational quote). She doesnt die til after i got the book. I dont think there is a fight though (script-kill?) because when i came back her armour was intact (perfect) and the smuggs were outside and didnt follow me in. --Dr. Clayton Forrestor 20:25, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

i suppose this could be test by giving her an uber weapon + ammo, and then check after for boddies or lack of said weapon(inventory rerolled). im pretty sure she was untouched and then her compound became a spawn point. Dr. Clayton Forrestor

After meeting with that old occult dude and having her confront me, she ran off. I got the book, but at that point there was no optional quest objective to give the book to her. When I got to her tent, some smugglers were there. They'd killed her - her body was nearby, and I was never offered the option of giving her the book. The old dude never mentioned her name, either. I resurrected her, and she just runs around taking cover until she gets to her tent, goes in, and has no other dialog options other than the ones at the first encounter. 66.71.78.8 04:17, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

To clarify this topic The early death of Marcella is provided in the quest script, and both her and Obadiah are scripted to check if the other one is dead. There are 2 copies of the character, one alive and one dead. Immediately after the meeting with the player she runs to her tent, where she is disabled and the dead copy is enabled, along with the gore and the smugglers. Resurrecting her has no purpose as she wears a "ondeath" script. Once she is dead the variable is set and is not changed by the resurrection. Her early death is not a bug but a possible event. She is not essential at any moment and it is even possible to kill her without karma penalty before she makes her plea (by visiting her tent before going to the manor). You just don't get the optional objective. But the quest WILL always fail if both her and Obadiah are dead, the book will no longer be a quest item and will do nothing if brought to the obelisk. Both the quest and the characters are very well scripted here.Croquignol 21:07, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

Doing What she Could

She could have freed A3-21 in the replicated man, that might be why Zimmer's there, saying "he narrowed it down"
