Should it be noted that obadiah calls the PC a Troglodyte if the player talks to him after giving him the book and choosing the top speech option. Mr.Wolf 09:28, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Probably not, He's just insulting the PC by calling you stupid/simple minded.Doesn't have to do with the Trogs in The Pitt.--Moltenfungus00:15, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Is he faking his disability? Because he gets up and walks away when you give him the book. Lord Spoonfield III 00:17, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm guessing the oxygen tank and stuff is just for show. How else could he get all those bodies into the basement?--Moltenfungus00:18, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Note that they are nitrous oxide, not oxygen.--71.203.125.108 03:47, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Magic. Lord Spoonfield III 00:19, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

If he's so magical why can't he stop me from chopping his head up?--Moltenfungus00:21, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Because his magic is secret, so he can't show you. Lord Spoonfield III 00:23, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I wanna see a magic trick. :( --Moltenfungus00:25, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I was really just about to shoot his head off till he said 1000 caps.--Bayonetta 00:25, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I have to give it to him. The woman vanished on me. Lord Spoonfield III 00:26, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Then again, I shot his head off as soon as he gave me 1000 caps--Bayonetta 00:27, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

She vanished, and what do magicians do? Make people vanish. Caught you out mr. Magic! Lord Spoonfield III 00:28, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Wait, does that make me magic too? I'm very good at making people "disappear".--Moltenfungus00:29, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

No. She 'disappeared' not 'died'. Lord Spoonfield III 00:30, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Psh, what's the difference? Btw the talk of magic has inspired me to go make a "Tall Man"(scary man from Phantasm) character.--Moltenfungus00:33, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

"I usually dump my corpses in the river, but this is nice too." One of my favourite lines. Lord Spoonfield III 00:35, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

spoon, that is a good idea, im gonna for now on, place every dead body that i kill, in the wasteland river!--Bayonetta 00:37, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I didn't make that up, you can say it to John Macain here. Lord Spoonfield III 00:39, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Sometimes I wish they had the guy from Monty Python and the Holy grail that calls out,"Bring out ya dead!" I don't like all the dead bodies clashing with all dirt and destruction in the wasteland.--Moltenfungus00:41, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

all i can say is that john maccain is a sick, lupy faced mad man.--Bayonetta 00:44, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

LOOK AT THE SIMILARITIES! Lord Spoonfield III 00:45, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

This just in- blame maccain.--Bayonetta 00:45, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Im straying off topic, back on topic, obi-die-ya looks like maccain, am i the only beliver?--Bayonetta 00:47, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Nope. Several people have said this. Lord Spoonfield III 00:51, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Spoon, Marcella shouldn't have just vanished on you. Did you check her tent at the Disaster Relief site?

Thats my point. When I went there to give her the book, it was full of smugglers. Lord Spoonfield III 10:53, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, that's supposed to happen. Did you check inside her tent? I don't want to ruin the surprise for you, but check inside her tent.

Thats the first place I looked. No corpse. No tape. Lord Spoonfield III 13:26, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

He may also be a reference to Lovecraft himself. Lovecraft was widely known for his racism (not intentionally offensive kind, just the usual idea of a coloured individual back then) and for hating rednecks, hicks and hillbilies and considering native, tribal people to be inferior cultures. It woundn't be far from him to call them troglodytes.

If he is John Mccain...[]

If this guy looks like John Mccain, and is a servant of the Old Gods , is it possible he has an assistant/partner like John did with Sarah Palin? WHo would help Blackhall serve the Old Gods just like Palin helped Mccain in the election (didn't though apparently). Since after all, I know someone who kinda reminds people of Palin.....................

MOIRA BROWN IS A SERVANT OF THE OLD GODS

Keeps his cool.[]

If when he goes off to pray in front of his nice like corpse shrine thing (I dump mine in a river) you go you behind him and pickpocket an frag in to him, he will not pat himself for it, he will just make the appopreate sound and keep praying, followed by death. My book now. user:JASPER42

Too much Edit[]

I removed this:

"This can be quite disconcerting due to the fact that he engages you in conversation, especially since you are under the assumption that his home is merely abandoned. Obadiah is meant not to be located once the player finishes the exploration of Blackhall Manor. Thus, its located in a corner of the room holding the crippled man, showing him by the exit of the stairs (he seemingly can be found with his eyes closed on his wheel chair, which means he is/acts crippled)."

...from bugs and left only the part describing the bug.

Also i think someone needs to add more detail to "If you assault Obadiah and only wound him (but not fully kill him) then he will say two sentences to the player using a much younger voice actors dialog and not using Obadiah's voice actor." by supplying at least the lines he will say, and possible a video of him saying these (with sound obviously so we can hear the voice)

Jaime Edit[]

Could it be that Obadiah Blackhall is Jaime's grandfather or uncle, father-in-law or brother-in-law to the guy who went to the Dunwich building? I notice on Jaime's article page that he has a different last name, Palabras; Blackhall could be his mother's maiden name. Or there could be no connection, and the book referenced in Jaime's Personal Journal might not even be the Krivbeknih.

Blackhall/Blackwood Edit[]

Does Blackhall Remind anyone else of Lord Blackwood from Sherlock Holmes? I'm not even familiar with the books, but From the movie, Blackhall and Blackwood both do some strange rituals, being that of worshipping a headless swampfolk body "As seen in Blackhall's basement"
