Judging by the press release, Point Lookout refers to the town and not the area in general. We should probably change this article to reflect that and make a seperate article for the swamp. -- Porter21 (talk) 00:14, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Off the coast you'll see the occasional red buoy. Beneath these buoys are locked boxes and safes within shipwrecked vessels. In the case of the buoy off the coast of the coastal Grotto, you'll find the complete remains of a T-Rex. Please note that there may be other safes submerged off the coast. --Gamma758 05:43, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I just found the bones. That is freaking cool. Guess over 200 years, the tide dug it up or something? LJ Carrion 21:43, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Way up in the NW corner of the map I found a small alcove with skeletons and meat chunks. Not to mention a couple weapons and custom weapon components... also a giant orange ball. Now I'm off to check out that T-Rex. J. Smythe

  • Also just north of Trash Heap is an area with ghouls around and a skeleton in a tree with an axe jutting out of it. Under the skeleton is a combat helmet and assault rifle. Nearby is a shack with only a tricycle in it. I'll continue wandering the map edge; see what else there is to be found. J. Smythe Edit - Probably a GI headed to the Jet Crash Site following the beacon.

Loot under Boueys[edit source]

There's some good stuff under the boueys in the ocean, stimpaks, ammo, safes, caps, junk. I didn't get attacked at all by Mirelurks when i was out there. i think theres 4 or 5 boueys.

Page locked why?[edit source]

I wanted to add this map: File:Point Lookout map with locations.png to the page. Bottlecap economics 06:03, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Silence[edit source]

Point Lookout is really quiet. I wish there was a radio station or something. Oh well. 79.175.65.229 12:17, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

taking followers[edit source]

is it possible to bring followers with you once nadine becomes the ship captain?

EDIT: i went there and, unfortunately, no.

Mole Rats[edit source]

Has anyone else seen mole rats near pilgrims landing? Clueless93 16:27, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. A number from 1-3 can be found 'patrolling' the road that runs east-west along the north of Pilgrims Landing, where the buildings stop suddenly and the swamp takes over. Pog 13:44, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

calvert mission!?!?[edit source]

the labelled map of point lookout has a typo where calvert mansion appears as calvert mission—Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Good catch. I've flagged the article. --Kris User Hola.jpg 20:15, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Removed Non-Reference[edit source]

I removed the following:

  • Many locations in the area (the lighthouse for example) are similar to the locations found in the film "Shutter Island".

Given that, unless I'm much mistaken, Shutter Island came out after the release of Point Lookout and this isn't a reference, it isn't even trivia. We may as well go and say that the fact that New Vegas is set in a radioactive Mojave is obviously a reference to the movie The Conqueror which was filmed in Nevada desert near a nuclear test site. Is that a reference? No, of course it isn't, so therefore the Shutter Island connection has been omitted. I ranted so that nobody will argue it, with any luck.

I ARGUE IT! The Milkman 05:35, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

The mas graves Biogas paragraph[edit source]

It doesnt make sense. If the bodys were decaying in the mass graves for 100/116 years before the Byshee gas co. started to excavate (in 2076/77), then how could the radiation (from the Great war) have caused the biogas' creation?--Ant2242 17:34, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
