Problems with Ending[edit source]

Have searched a lot over the internet and haven't seen anyone else with this problem, but don't know if it would be classified as glitch or not. Could be that my interactions with Dog/God has rendered me this problem, but the problem is that I have no opportunity to convince Dog to leave and God to remain. I only have the two speech checks of 55 and 85 during conversation and only chances to either merge the two or for Dog to get rid of God. It is really pissing me off but I guess I'll merge the two; however, I really was looking forward to getting the ending with only God in control. DAMN IT!!!!!!

Same here. I've been supporting God from the start (because, face it - Dog is a savage) and I'm still unable to suppress the Dog persona. I can only kill God or merge both. No apparent option to kill Dog. http://imageshack.us/m/15/6929/luckmanngrenadesignatur.png Luckmann 22:35, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

I've tested this a bit and it seems to be that summoning Dog at any point in the storyline will prevent you from allowing God to take control, not simply the first quest. If you summoned Dog at any point, he recognizes you as the person who released him from his cage and therefore sees you as a friend, while if you kept God on control, Dog sees you as the person who put him to sleep in the prison, which places God either as an antagonist to the Courier (for the former) or as an ally (in the latter). End of this quest can make it impossible to finish the DLC?[edit source]

Okay, so I had a peaceful resolution with Dog/God in the kitchen; talking to him with my speech of 90+. I don't recall if it was after or before I had repaired the third gas pipe leak; I assume after. The problem now is that when I go to the Suites to find the mute, I cannot complete that quest. Because when I try to use the key card to go through the maintenance door (or whatever door leads back to the part of the suites where the mute is), I get a message that says that I cannot open this sealed door because of a gas pipe leak in the kitchen. Well, that's great! Because I cannot use the regular elevator to go back down to the lobby (and then the kitchen) because this elevator says locked (needs key). So &*^%&*%! I reloaded from before I went up to the suites and rechecked to make sure all three valves in the kitchen were turned off -- which they were; and God/Dog was kinda pacing the floor. So whatever. The first time I played the DLC I killed Dog in the kitchen but I wanted to go a different route this time; I also completed the Dean scenario without having to kill him. But I cannot complete the third scenario. It appears unsolvable. Which is absolutely frustrating. Anyone else this problem or a possible solution? --Sp3lly 20:13, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

I thought this too at first, but if you explore the suites further you eventually get into that room and there is another leak in there, shut off the valve and the door will open. Heavenssmile 13:53, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

Just a little thing...[edit source]

If you play God's voice, then immediately afterward enter his field of vision, God speaks first, but then it follows the normal pattern. Except that if you chose to get rid of God, then Dog is forever afterward listed as God.

Can't complete 'Put The Beast Down'.[edit source]

I apparently have the glitched version where when you go through the Emergency door it causes you to go back to the room where you find the Emergency door key. I was told to go and finish another quest to solve this problem, so I went and finished the one involving Dean but it still doesn't work. Do I have to restart or what? I seriously don't want to be stuck in Sierra Madrid forever...

Sneaking Glitch[edit source]

I've been supporting God from the start as well. In fact, I never even let Dog out. Yet the moment I enter the kitchen, I'm spotted. I can sneak in that one hallway fine, with the terminal. But even at sneak skill 80, Assassin Suit, La Fantome (+20) and a Stealth Boy (overkill much?), with his back turned to me, he will spot me through the doorframe even, the very moment my character enters the kitchen area. And in conversation, I only have the option to kill God. I can't even try to merge them. This is pissing me off in several ways. 184.8.208.81 19:22, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

y do u screw me! collar go boom[edit source]

--67.176.219.47 06:05, October 3, 2011 (UTC)manoxide06 The second i enter the room my collar beeps ive been all over the room and there is no safe place i cannot go anywhere i finish my conversation with dog then my head explodes not even enough time to shut off the gas valves i get like 5 sec then im screwed....like wtf do i have to start a new game.....why dosent bethesda care about its players at all so many glitches/bugs and they fixed like almost none of them.

Put the Beast Down Problem[edit source]

So, I'm in Sierra Madre trying to complete Put the Beast Down and I can't get into the electrical closet. My science isn't high enough to hack the terminal and I can't find another way in. Is there anyway to fix this, or am I S.O.L.?
