Mark 2 Status
Really, thats how we arived at the fact that its mark 2, two lines on the shoulder that could or could not be percieved as roman numerals? RED Sniper 1917 11:55, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
Well, it does seem to be an improvement over the regular armor. Doesn't that qualify as a Mk II upgrade? --NuclearAnamoly 02:46, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
- The names will most likely all be changed once the DLC comes out anyway. Message 02:48, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
We might as well just change the name now to 11th Infantry Combat Armor, thats what it is most likely going to be called anyway. RED Sniper 1917 11:56, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
that's the problem of power. few people can handle it. you guys gonna argue over which name should be used until the DLC is released? pls, grow up.
It would probably be called pre war riot armor the one that ranger armor is based on.Lonesome courier 19:03, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
Looks like I have the next pair of armor for my gunslinger, nice to know it's not ncr armor. LouisianaBob 22:08, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
Is this the armor of the fabled NCR calvary unit that rode horses, in the chance's flashback.

- No. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 20:19, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe it's armor from the normal NCR rangers that are located in Death Valley. Except one of them died. --Felix Brehh 20:30, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
I dunno why but I can't find the body in The Crow's Nest, can someone upload a pictuew or something? --126.96.36.199 11:52, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
Why all the obssession with the armor being NCR? It's clearly and well likelly that it belongs to United States Army. In the US Combat Armor you even have a rank! The NCR armor is infact US armor recovered for use. If you doubt, go talk to Chief Harlon for a minute and he will say that NCR Ranger Armor is from before the war and refited for NCR use. The city names.
Somebody keeps changing the city of Los Angeles and Las Vegas to "Los Angales and Los Vegas." This is wrong, I live in California and I'm definitely certain how to spell those city names. --Felix Brehh 23:57, September 22, 2011 (UTC)
Friend of the Night Synergy
When you combine the Sneak Sight off the Riot Gear Helmet the Red Hue and the light Green/Blue tint of Friend of the Night, it creates a black and white effect that GREATLY enhances low light visibility. Only tested on Riot Gear Helmet and on 360, confirmation needed for Advanced, Elite, PS3 and PC.

Works great. I added that on all the riot gears c: --Felix Brehh 02:22, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
Why do the Riot gear variants have trenchcoats? I thought they were part of the Desert Ranger uniform. Wouldn't make any sense having a trenchcoat in a riot, most likely in an urban/close quarters environment.--Jolipinator 17:41, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
They gotta look good when there's a riot. ;-) --Felix Brehh 17:50, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Advanced Riot Gear MIA?
Body isn't there in my game on the 360. Anyone else having that problem? I hypothesize that it got blown off into the wild green yonder when I detonated the warhead. If this turns out to be true I think the phenomenon is worth documentation.
--Monolithic 20:49, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
- The warhead is too far down for that. Perhaps something else knocked off the body? Message 20:52, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
Can't confirm. Tested detonating the warhead several times. The body DOES move some of the time. Possibly hit by items sent flying by the explosion? It's irregular though. I've only gotten it to move slightly off to the side or fall backwards into the Crow's Nest in my repeat attempts. I DID set off the satchel charge my first time through though, so that might have finished the job if the body was mostly dislodged by an unlucky warhead detonation. I haven't gotten the body to move in my further testing of the satchel charge though. *Shrug*

Try leaving the divide then come back then go to crows nest worked for me.
Red and blackish
The one i got from the hopeville armory is a darker color almost black and the top/trimm part is red. would this be a glitch?--XXHISselfXx 02:48, October 6, 2011 (UTC) (srry forgot sig first time)
WHOA WHOA hey hold on there buddy, the Hopeville armory? This might be a new one we haven't discovered yet! OMG --Felix Brehh 03:05, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
I don't thinks its a special type because its just called riot gear but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a varient like theres black combat armor.--XXHISselfXx 02:48, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
You need to post a picture. --Felix Brehh 03:04, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
- Probably on PC playing mods. No trace of such armor in the DLC files. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 05:59, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
I am playing on ps3 and where should i post the pic?--XXHISselfXx 21:04, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
Ill post the pics here if you need me to move em just ask or do it yourself--XXHISselfXx 21:18, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
That's interesting, it may just be a bug on the PS3's disc, maybe it's scratched. I was hoping it would look cooler but it just looks like the top is red, which isn't appealing to me, but that's really interesting, maybe it should be mentioned in the bugs section. I don't think the image should be added, but the actual PS3 bug should be written. --Felix Brehh 22:35, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
