It is the same, the only difference is that you can't craft it this time around (nor find most of the parts to do so anyway.) It has to be found or purchased.

Locations?

Yes i can't find it either. I've played to level 15-20 probably 5 separate times and have never encountered legionary hit squad which is supposed to carry them. None of the merchants who are supposed to have them do... It's very frustrating because all of my characters have been built around pyromania. I hope someone can give us clues as to how to fix this.

Starting to wonder if this is a hoax, or a bug. I'm level 35 and have clocked over 150 hours on this character. I have not once seen a Shishkabob load in any of the locations listed or on a Legion hit squad. Idolized by NCR and good standing with Caravan. I have three friends who also own this game and none of them have seen a Shishkabob either. Can someone on an Xbox 360 actually confirm this item exists? ~Anonymous of the Wastes. January 7, 2011

Doubtful for Xbox chars. I've only ever seen one on PC, and that was on a Legion kill squad. You'll want Yukichi's patch for the squads, if you want a Shishkebab on the PC. Nitty ^Tok. 04:39, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

I bought it from the merchant named Blake in the Crimson Caravan place, and on Xbox 360 too.

I play on the 360 and I have bought 7 shishkebabs. They were all purchased from the Hoover dam quartermaster. I have yet to see one from other vendors. It is your best bet. It also helps a lot to use the exploit where you quit to the menu around one of the vendors that sells to refresh their inventory. I can confirm what the above post said I got it from Hoover dam quartermaster by the way this looks so bad ass if you combine it with the Chinese stealth armor you can get also at hoover dam

Any knows if it works or it's bugged?

I believe it was removed in the latest patch, before that it didn't allow you to do anything. So no, not bugged, just it was never intended to be used by the looks of it and was left in the game by mistake. ☣Avatar☣ 19:47, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Ya, I've never seen the Shishkebab in FNV either. What gives? Is it only for Xbox and PC? I started the game over not too long ago, hopefully the 1.5 patch fixed whatever inhibited it from appearing in game and I'll finally see one. I seriously thought I needed a blueprint or something in order to get one but it appears it's suppose to be just an uncommon weapon. Bloody weird. - Demon971 @ 15-May-2011 19:00hrs

I was just walking down freeside and i open my inventory and WTF a Shishkebab appearnd in my inventory and it wasnt on hit squads

When I equip this with the gannon tesla armor, there's no fuel tank or glove, the right hand turns invisible.

I found it ! , It can be bought from Quartermaster Bardon! I bought 2 of em from him.Try This!:Go to Hoover dam and talk to Quartermaster Bardon and check the stock. If it was not there...wait for 3 day and check his stock again..If it was not there keep waiting 3 days and checking for stock until it is there in stock. this works for me... [NOTE:You must be at lest LIKED with the NCR first before you can buy stuff from Bardon].This works every time i did it! So,if it works for you guys then you can find your self an perfect infinite shishkebab glintch ! Like what I did! [NOTE:You can also do this to the Crimson Caravan too! The same way as what you did to Bardon.Thats mean you can also buy it from the Crimson Caravan too!] So now i have 26 Shishkebab in my inventory ! For those of you who don't know about this weapon, I can say that...This weapons can really burn your ass up!If you think that this weapons was a mod...you are totally wrong. When I play fallout new vegas ,I have never mod or update the patch or use the ADD-ON...so my fallout was originally fresh like new... SO what i'm trying to say is you don't need to mod, put add on, and update to get this weapons...Yes, I know some of you can imagine about it.You can't miss it.. This or war club?

I just got back from honest hearts where I got tons of each. Which is better? I like how the war club sounds more when I beat the NCR soldiers in their sleep, but if the shihkebab is much better, then I'll go with that.

FERN replying you:right, you better go with the shihkebab i thought it was the coolest malee weapons in the game.

Back Slash is Pointless (pun intended)

Oddly, the damage per AP for a regular attack is higher than for the special attack with no bonus effect (like knockdown for the Mauler special). This is common with a few Back Slash weapons. The only reason to use Back Slash for the Shishkebab is if you are short on AP for a regular attack but have enough to fit in a special. Am I missing something?
