I edited this page to include that it's located within Freeside, because if you take a look at the Freeside page, you can clearly see the Atomic Wrangler sign behind the Freeside sign, and in the Atomic Wrangler page photo, you can see that Silver Rush is right across from Atomic Wrangler.

Thus the two are located in Freeside. =)Volundarkvioa 19:05, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Added "Freeside.jpg", same photo on the Atomic Wrangler page to the Silver Rush Casino page since the Silver Rush sign can be seen [quite easily] on the photo.Volundarkvioa 19:05, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Golden Nugget

the design of the neon sign really resembles the golden nugget which is also in fremont/freeside, someone with some vegas background should put a behind the scenes note about it

are these guys stupid?

i attempted to steal something while hidden to avoid being attacked, and they kept seeing me, so i tried just picking up the items without taking them, and moved them into the back area where there was no guards, i stole everything in the store this way meanwhile they all stood around thinking "hey...isn't that our stuff hes dragging into the bathroom? shouldn't we idk..stop him? naaah...hes just moving stuff around." then of course i used said weapons to kill everyone in the store...and get a gauss rifle to-boot, and no karma loss, lol but when i started killing them i suddenly failed the quest heartache by the number, which i still for some reason had in my quest log even after finishing it, needless to say its easy to steal from this store, drag anything you want into the bathroom and you can easily take it and walk out free, lol or kill them all for the money/items youdeadbro? 09:29, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

Broken Silver Rush?

"the Player enters the Silver Rush for the first time an event happens (The one where the man gets shot), if the Player leaves before the event starts and comes back the event won't happen, and the Silver Rush will be off-limits for the rest of the game. "

That happened to me, is there a way to fix this? I really want to buy those energy weapons inside, or at least steal them without getting shot.

I've got the same issue. They're just stood there, i can't go past the guards or they'll turn hostile. Any ideas? I just want to finish Cass's quest :( -EllEzDee 20:11, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

- A little late but I found it works if you wait a bit, I went to eat for about 15mins so I'm not sure how long you would need to wait. -- 03:29, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

dear EllEzDee, there is no way to fix this i tried this last week and it closed of the silver rush for the rest of the game, my best advise, start a new file.

-I found that you can get past the broken silver rush by using s stealth boy to pass the guards and then wating till the guards calm down. From there you can continue as normal.

"You may steal only one weapon"

"You may steal one weapon once inside without the guards attacking you. However, if you steal more than one, they will immediately express hostility" should be removed. I was able to steal everything without the guards turning hostile (Sneak 100). But you dont need to have your sneak at 100 you could have it at 6 and they still dont give two shits.....

actually it means that you can just pick one up with everyone looking and no one cares.

I have found that you can steal all the weapons and ammo in the Silver Rush just by grabbing them one at a time with the RS. Then taking them to the bathroom part of the building, as long as no one sees you actually add the item to your inventory you are fine. I wasn't even sneaking and I cant all the weapons and ammo I wanted. Raziel334 18:12, January 3, 2011 (UTC)Raziel334

  • You can steal everything and you don't necessarily have to haul the loot all the way to the bathroom. Some things can actually be stolen directly from the counter while hiding/sneaking on either side of it, as long as the Van Graff's don't spot you. The rest can be dropped in the shaded area behind Gloria Van Graff and then stolen as long as she is facing the other way. If she is looking at you, you might have to walk around to the front of the counter so that she turns around and then sneak back behind her. The ammo and weapons near the door can be hauled to the nearby cabinets and then stolen when the guards aren't looking.

No new weapons, or restocking

I have waited many days in game, and am an appropriate level for energy weapons to be bought, but every time I go there, they have no new weapons, and have never restocked their weapons. Solution?

the same thing happened to me.

I've not had this occur, they always restock ammunition, weapons (though always the same selection since energy weapons are not as diverse as guns), etc. Mictlantecuhtli 19:16, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Get a Stealthy boy, steal all their stuff, you should only need one if you plan the raid. put it on just before you go into the shop. Walk away with loads of rare weapons. (Pseudoman 12:18, November 4, 2010 (UTC))

All I get from the Merchant is the Laser Pistol, Laser Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, Incinerator, and Recharger Rifle. I asked the original question, because I can't find another Plasma Caster to repair mine with, or find a MultiPlas Rifle, along with other energy weapons. Lots of people have also said that this shop sells a lot of good energy weapons, not just the ones out in the open.

In my playthrough, I grabbed everything associated with the Silver Rush at once, including the floor items, the ammo in the locked rooms and safes, and the bugged armor and guns outside. Somehow my Plasma Caster, Plasma Defender, Flamer, Multiplas, Tri-Beam Laser Rifle, Recharger Rifle, Recharger Pistol, and a couple of the Laser Rifles and other guns became 100% repaired. They didn't start that way. I remember looking at them as soon as I got them, but by the time I left to drop my extra weight off with my companions and prepare to slaughter them, most of my weapons were 100%. I am looking at what might have happened. Might have been another glitch related to the un-removeable quest-related Van Graff Combat Armor and the 100% guns outside in the box near Simon, but that is just my guess. I have the save game to prove it, but I'm still not sure why. Having to keep the stupid quest armor might not be worth it. serose8

though the armor says it weighs 25 pounds it doesn't change my weight count on my char, providing you with a med armor for no weight cost, also on the page it references a glitch that causes the weapons in silver rush to have max condition, most of the time if u pick them up and it happens theres' a massive death and game freezes, or w/e it says on the page, but sometimes there's no negative side effects. Toolazytomakeaaccount 09:34, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm just going to kill them and take everything. BoS sells better energy weapons anyway. Unusual that it says in the wiki that Silver Rush sells Multiplas, Defenders, and all kinds of good stuff. But I have seen none of them. Cass is awesome, so I'm not letting her die, screw you Van Graffs.--FalloutJRob 16:47, November 25, 2010 (UTC

dear gamers, the only way to restock the silver rush is to do there quests and not steal from them. the hole reason they dont care that you steal from them is because ist a clich in the game. if you steal from them theyll never restock.

Upon enter Silver rush for the first time I saw the conversation taking place about a late payment. I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to cross the guards and I was shot at and killed for doing so. This page needs a warning for players who are going here for the first time to be patient at the entrance and watch the conversation take place before entering. -- 07:30, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

if you listen when you first enter within the first 2 seconds they tell you to wait till the meeting is over... Toolazytomakeaaccount 21:50, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

i dont usually have my volume up and i had the radio playing, wasnt really paying attention... i walk over to look at something on the wall, the whole place attacks me. awesome, lol.

you should have auto-save for entering anyways

Just wondering, how many bottle caps worth of stuff is in there. If you went in and killed everyone, and took all the stuff, how much could you get from the gun runners?. and does it include bad karma if you do this?--Smish34 22:10, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Oddly enough you do not lose any karma for stealing the weapons in The Silver Rush, the value in caps depends entirely on condition, which seems to be random. In any case they should net you a good bit of caps.Ragedaoneanlonely 18:36, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

the weapons aren't worth much, most in poor conditions. but the grenades and mines aren't bad

Being Attacked

For some reason that I can't fathom, even though I killed the guard outside with a silenced sniper rifle while hidden, when I entered the casino I was immediately attacked. I annihilated all of them but I was looking forward to seeing what they had for sale. Anyone care to offer up a reason why this happened?

Some characters cannot die without the player's being blamed for it. For example, in Caesar's tent, the praetorian guards can be killed easily with a stealth boy without anyone caring, but killing Lucius (and Caesar, I imagine) causes them to turn hostile and start looking for you. Maybe Simon, the guard at the Silver Rush, is one of those characters.

Feels like new!

Ok we all now you can steal about everything on display right? But there is a way (i figured this out for myself but if anyone else knows to do not say "I am very angry!". All you gotta do is stare at any weapon you wanna take since the van graffs have a show of some weapons which can sell for a lot or be used by energy maniacs like myself. So while your staring at the weapon you like make a save (I cannot stress how important this save is). Now after the save make sure the van graffs can see you (or do this before saving, your choice!), take the weapon and they'll turn hostile, dont kill them. Wait for them to shoot once then hit reload!(I tried the glitch without getting them hostile and it didnt work). Now when you reload the weapon will be replaced *AND* it will be at full condition. This glitch can be used over and over and not just to the Van Graffs. Also i havent tested with the new patch but it should still work regardless. --This 45-70gvt Brush gun is not happy.... 20:14, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

Stock Refresh?

Do they ever refresh their inventory or anything? I'm level 8 right now and I haven't seen them get anything new in their stock. Nukey talk 20:31, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

I'm level 24, second playthrough and they never restocked their inventory....

they restock for me, but its always the same stuff, its more notable if you check ammo after you've boughten all of it Toolazytomakeaaccount 22:26, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Same problem here. They have never restocked in my current game. No idea why. It's a bitch, because the Gun Runners doesn't sell Energy Weapons or Energy Weapons ammunition and they are the only other group to dependably sell weapon mods (I'm running WMX). http://imageshack.us/m/15/6929/luckmanngrenadesignatur.png Luckmann 15:32, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Fraction Armor

I had a problem with a few traders (Silver Rush, Blake, the gun runner at 188). They didnt restock their inventory (items, caps) I think this is caused by the fraction Armor i sold them (blake had NCR armor, 188 guy had legion armor, etc...) I bought those back and after a few days they started refreshing their inventory again.

You meen Faction? If thats the case thats something to investigate. 18:53, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

The Gun Runner at 188 (Alexander) only restocks his inventory like all merchants do on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but only if you happen to be in the same cell as him when it shifts over to restock time. Why this happens with him? I'm not sure, but I THINK it has something to do with his merchant container's location. I haven't traded enough with Blake or the Gloria at the Silver Rush to see if waiting in the same area as them will restock them. It doesn't work with Mick, it seems, but I suspect it's a similar problem concerning his merchant container. Oh, and all of this is speculation from messing around on the PC version of the game, just so you know. If I had more GECK experience, I might be able to shed more light on this. --Distracted Ghost 03:08, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Free Sets of Combat Armor

I went back to the Silver Rush about a month (ingame time) after clearing it out for the Heartache by the Number quest and found 2 sets of Combat Armor in the security crate outside by the door, plus 3 more in the safe inside the building. I'm not sure how long it took for the armor to spawn but the all the bodies were gone and the building was empty (Confirmed on PlayStation 3Icon ps3.png).

Silver Rush keep selling craps

While Silver Rush used to sell decent stuffs like Gauss Rifle and Tri-Beam, it now keep on selling low-end-low-quality stuffs which won't change according your level. I'm level 22 and Gun Runner already sells Brush Guns, they keep selling and restocking those goddamn Recharger rifles and laser pistols!

A:With one of the patches, it was the second patch on 360 not sure about other consoles, these guys start selling better weapons on reloads/ stock rotations, such as the previously unavailable tesla cannon, tri beam, multi-plas, gauss rifles to name a few! These restocks are slower than other vendors. Of course they are quite poor for selling ammo which only restocks around 50-100 random cells at a time. For weapons ammo try quartermaster Bardon over at the hoover dam.

Multiplas Bug?

Don't know if this is a bug or actually meant to happen but I went down there and bought the fabled Multiplas Rifle for the best price ever (216 caps! Even though it was in bad condition that is a bargain) but then I felt greedy and activated my StealthBoy and proceed to loot the entire entrance hall (how they did not notice the disappearing Flamer, Plasma Defender etc I don't know) and I came across another Multiplas! WTF? Best heist I ever had, and it fit my Cowboy/Vigilante/Bounty Hunter who steals from the rich, and sells to the Rich Merchants. But is this a bug or what? Recent Patch

The entire store is now [Detected], even when in the bathroom the guards can see you through the walls and will respond to thefts appropriately. Sneak was 15, occurred even with a magazine for 25 sneak also. You can get away with stealing 1-2 weapons in the bathroom even while detected though they will attack if you push it. Mictlantecuhtli 20:56, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Scratch that, its a stealth bug. I am detected anywhere in the game world, regardless of cover or lack of nearby npc's or enemies. Wonderful, I swear the game is buggier with patches than it was on day 1. Mictlantecuhtli 21:01, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Gun Runner's Arsenal Bug

While working for the Brotherhood of Steel, I took the first Birds of a Feather job and let the man armed with C4 in. This killed Gloria Van Graff, and according to the GRA page that means all the Van Graff's new GRA weapons should be at the Vendotron. None of them are available, and it seems there's no way to get them. This happened on the PS3. -- 20:14, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

please add to notes

there is a place to sleep above the silver rush (just on the other side of the sign) accesable through the next building.\

I have changed the protection level of the page, so you're now able to add to the notes section. 10:30, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
