I don't think a real world reference is what normally counts as location... Mirar 07:04, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

switch location[]

The switch on the truck is not at C west of the auto shop, but NE of the shop. Also may be worth noting that the switch develops a fault after several uses, but can be repaired with a high enough skill.

Find a hidden rad lake, with ghouls, shack , computer and goodies R/O Takoma industrial factory.[]

xbox 360. Find a hidden nuclear bomb lake,1 Rad exterior, with Ghouls and an equipped shack rear of the factory at Takoma industrial. Found by using the City Liner as a climbing frame to escape the enclosing field'. It took me 4 hours to find a way of escape from the restricting field due to the high buildings. Method if you want to try. Required:1 FAT MAN and the CITY LINER parked outside the door to Nifty thrifty. Equipped with Fat man roll the liner on it's side and push it front first under the bridge to the SW .Once clear of the bridge push the front up the broken slabs to the South until it rises nearly to the top of the building to the right of the bridge. Un-equip your FAT MAN. Climb up the broken slabs and jump onto the LINER.You can walk up to the top of the 60 degree slope and by jumping off S from the top will just land on top of the field fence and then junp down the other side of the field. Walk along the bridge South until a gap appears in the buildings to you RHS. Jump the bridge railing and land in the gap.The wasteland is in front. Run WNW over large mounds and then turn N. You are now outside the FO3 mapping. Turn NE avoiding the buildings, turn E and pass the Fly-Over seen from Takoma industrial on your right. At the last stanchion turn South. Count 80 running paces.Turn North-West and run between a building to your right and a walkway over a depression to your left. This will then lead you straight to a hidden lake R/O the Takoma Industrial factory. The inaccessible circular radioactive lake, just outside the gaming area at Takoma Industrial supports 3 ghouls,1 Feral, 1Glowing one 1 Reaver walking or aquatting in the radioactive water .On the south side of the lake is a small cloth covered metal frame shack with a bed and shelves. You are located 1 step away from the shack but uanble to get to it.You can still be hit by the Reavers rad bomb. By using a scope ,on the top shelf can be seen , 3 boxes of ammo, the middle shelf 4 radaway, the bottom shelf a yellow rad suit. The other side shelf contains 4 Buffout,2 surgical tubings and a Rad away transfusion to the right on the stand. Outside is a table, chair, generator and computer terminal. There are two dead researches in yellow suits on a rock ledge just below the shack. The lake is just 30 paces ENE from the Cloth Tent which supports a hostile mutant, outside and to the rear of the factory alongside the canal. The lake is shut off behind a rubble pile and restriction field just up the canal from the tent. The Ghouls and the dead researchers do not seem to spawn every time. There seems no way to access the lake from either side.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 09:08, August 6, 2012 (UTC) --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 10:49, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

The lake[]

The lake turned out to be accessible after all and the dead researcher was Isabella Proud but not all was lost for the fast travel landing in Takoma park from the wasteland did turn up a most unusal metal object. From the rear of the lake the great waste land can be accessed and a return either by fast travel of by getting back in over the tops of the buildings by the bank and jumping down --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 19:08, August 6, 2012 (UTC). .

Protecteron combat inhibitor at Tacoma industrial[]

xbox I fast traveled to the Tacoma industrial site from the radioactive pool with the ghouls and landed to the sound of very heavy metal. At my feet was a intact combat inhibitor from a Protecteron. It was finely worked on both sides and unlike the rough texture of those shot from the backs of regular robots. I need a capture card for a picture. The PCI will glitch into the ground and most of the time will be invisible so did Tacoma Industrail use protecterons? Is this event just an odd encounter or was there a Protecteron at Tacoma at somepoint in time. Another odd thing about it was it's weight. It was so heavy it was almost impossible to lift. --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 04:25, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Washington Monument as seen from the industrial site[]

xbox 360.If you use the difficult CITY LINER method to exit the play area located up the steep rubble pile the other side of the bridge from the bank in Takoma park, and enter the wasteland you will see from the top of the first rubble pile to the SW and 240 running paces away the Washington Monument. Standing at the base the W.M the map now has you located just NE of Penn Avenue East. Right direction but well short for the sake of perspection. To return, either fast travel or return and jump back into the game from the top of the bank or adjacent buildings. The building is built from the base to the same scale as the one in front of capital building.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 09:15, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

Easiest way to cross canal

Jspoelstra reverted my edit on this page, and the reason makes sense, "too much information, awkward sentence flow. I will try to resolve this. I am posting here to explain.

I added a description of how to use the pipes in the canal itself to cross, a MUCH easier method than jumping over the downed antenna tower, and a MUCH shorter method than hugging a ledge all the way around from the other side. I am going to add the directions again, they are quite simple, but I will also remove the more convoluted methods of crossing to make the article flow properly. If I make some mistake in the process, please let me know so that I can correct it.
