Dialogue?[]

At the end of OWB it says that the Courier's brain was more clever than most. Does this change for a character with low intelligence? Does the dialogue while it's still in the tank change, perhaps? Can anyone shed some light on this?

--PsyChuan 12:55, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I went through all the dialogue in the geck, the most there is is the courier not really understanding the brain's science talk, and him thus demeaning you, and you stupidly asking if your other organs could talk, and him demeaning you for not getting that they lack neurons.

But no, the brain has 10 intelligence, even if the courier is mentally retarded, kind of like a god-dog thing.

HOW?[]

How is this even possible, this seems ridiculous. WTF!?!?!?

I kind of explained it away as the courier developing a really complex multiple personality disorder, and the 2 being able to chat by both having a medium to allow both out at the same time, courier personality controlling body via the tesla coils in the head, brain personality speaking through his tank's built in interface systems.

This is Fallout Science. Don't ask how, just accept it.

It could simply be viewed in Dualist terms, that see the mind and brain as linked yet seperate. --Gdubs (talk) 08:01, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

english accent[]

why does the courier's brain have an english accent? perhaps the courier is of english origin.

The Brain reminds me of Stewie from Family Guy, And the sink is Jarvis from Iron Man.--76.90.232.243 22:05, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

That is the machine. Female couriers also have the male English accent. I highly doubt real English people could make it to the US. There is no fuel left in the world, Europe was hit harder than most of the world, and crossing the Atlantic would be very difficult. The only reason the English ghoul was in Maryland in FO3 was because he was here before the Bombs dropped.

what about tenpenny, and by the way theres no pacific in fallout the bombs dried it up and its too hot to condense into water again Source? There is about 100 ways that is absolutely ridiculous.

There is an Atlantic ocean. In the DLC in NO3 you are right along the coast line. Tennpenny is the only one who is hard to explain. I honestly don't know. He can't be from before the war, he isn't a ghoul. Maybe he was rich enough to find a way over. Still, the Courier's brain spoke with that accent because of the machine. It is the same male accent, even if you are a female courier.

People are crossing over to USA from Europe in Fallout 3. It is not so hard to explain actuely. Their are a lot of types of ships that goes on electrisity, sailing and even padling (Like the vikings did to get to North America, all do they sailed too). Moriarity in Megaton did also come to USA as a child from Irland. So I quess their are some ships that are either build before the war or after that brings them to the capital wasteland. (Sorry for the low quality of my english language. I am norwegian)

In Zion they don't even speak english anymore, it is realistic. In the wastelands people seem to live in small tribes, if the town shaman or the teacher has an accent the whole tribe will get this accent in few generations. Unlike the others fallout games we know nothing about the courier's origins in New Vegas. Perhaps he is the son (or daughter)of Allistair Tenpenny. It doesn't mean he crossed the ocean. This may sound idiotical, but don't you suppose they used Vertabirds, there are several commonwelths, so he might have been connected to some Enclave pilots, you never know. And also, I think the Courier is the Lone Wanderer's Son, maybe him and Amata err-- got together back at 101, because pretty much everyone in Fallout is connected, James could've been The Chosen One's Grandson. It sounds pretty obvious to me.

He's a descendant from Stewie Gilligan Griffin. :/

The Courier is not the Lone Wanderer's son. The game takes place four years after Fallout 3. Just because people in Fallout have connections to each other sometimes, doesn't mean you can go around and say that anybody is anybody's cousin/brother/sister/uncle. The only thing that is mildly plausible in your "idiotical" retort is Vertibirds, and even then, not so much. 199.15.222.71 03:11, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

Nuclear powered ships? It seem a bit obvious in this world that they would be some of these when you see that everything was working with that, even cars.--95.182.131.77 18:33, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

Doesn't everyone think in an English accent? I know I do. Then again, I am English anyway... JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 18:34, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

its my brain im taking it back[]

i dont care what it thinks its a brain and its coming home with me--Corporal grif 09:25, July 24, 2011 (UTC)

I wouldn't take my Brain back, it's been shot 2 times, I'd Keep the Tesla Coils and Bionic Spine, But that heart is coming home with ME!

Memories of quests?[]

The page mentions that when you talk to your brain you can discuss how certain quests went back in the Mojave(Like "Come fly with me" and "That lucky old sun). Could someone be kind and check the GECK for which ones this might be?

I did a little investigation into the Old World Blues BSA file to see what the possible dialogues were, but I found that for the Courier's brain's reminiscing, there are only dialogue files and .mp3s for Come Fly With Me and That Lucky Old sun. Basically, Bethesda (responsible for quality control with NV's DLCs) left out files. There won't be a fix short of a massive rerelease of the DLC, or a patch. --Butch DeLoria 16:47, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

For what it's worth, if you've done Come Fly and haven't done Lucky Old Sun, you don't get stuck in the loop; the brain only mentions Jason Bright. Presumably you avoid the loop if you've done Sun but not Fly. No idea what happens if you've done neither. Perhaps a generic message, or the dialogue line isn't available. The voice sounds familiar....[]

The brain's voice sounds suspiciously similar Seth MacFarlane's Stewie Griffin voice but i can't confirm this.

The option to flirt with your brain.[]

I noticed that the article did not note that the Black Widow perk allows you to flirt with your brain. Seeing such an option in a video, I added it. (I'll retrieve the video if anyone needs comfirmation.) I'm also uncertain if Cherchez La Femme works, but even with a Courier with that perk, I didn't really want to flirt with it. Can someone clear this up for me? NuclearAnamoly 00:44, August 7, 2011 (UTC) User: NuclearAnamoly/NuclearAnamoly

Brain scarring?[]

The notes say there is some scarring on the brain, but visually I can't seem to find any sort of scar. Either I wasn't looking close enough, or the detail doesn't show when you enter tcl mode from the console (To get a closer look). Can anyone else confirm that it does or doesn't have a visible scar somewhere? --Nothing. 23:40, August 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hostile Brain Tank[]

The brain tank, while located in the sink, can become hostile and follow you around if you attack it. You will also notice when you punch the brain tank your controller will vibrate unlike when you punch the spine or heart tank (Xbox 360)
