doesn't it leave behind a motion sensor? did for me. Fall-in:The Post Nuclear Role Playing Guy 22:26, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Fallout: New Vegas References[]

The NCR Emergency Radio station makes this comment: " Location Bravo Bravo Charlie, The Doctor is Coming." This could be a reference to BBC's Doctor Who

Achieving consensus[]

The blue box appears as an Easter egg, referencing Doctor Who. Is it relevant to mention that the machine is bigger on the inside and that it stands for “Time And Relative Dimension In Space”? This is not apparent in Fallout, and since the article links to the Doctor Who wiki, surely this information is not necessary?[Template fetch failed for https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Template:papi?action=raw: HTTP 404] 01:38, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

I haven't the slightest idea what TARDIS stood for until now. The bigger on the inside is pop culture that anyone who knows the TARDIS or recognizes it will know, however what TARDIS stands for isn't. I can't think of any reason that we wouldn't include that in the description of the link. Richie9999 (talk) 01:50, July 10, 2017 (UTC)
This article is about an Easter egg in Fallout, not about Doctor Who. I’m sure including the full name of the TARDIS is fine, but the fact that it’s bigger on the inside isn’t relevant to the Easter egg, so it doesn’t need to be included.[Template fetch failed for https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Template:papi?action=raw: HTTP 404] 01:53, July 10, 2017 (UTC)
I would agree that neither are necessary facts at all. However the admins appear to have a different opinion, or rather forego that idea altogether to instead strike you down on an edit war claim. While it is true that you edit warred, they'd rather continue to display unnecessary information than simply warn/ban (this is not your first edit war) and concur with your edit. In this case, it is not the fact that you made an edit in good faith, but rather that you broke a rule in doing so. Considering I did not edit war when I edited to your version of the BTS, I am a bit upset that they still reverted it to its prior status before any of this occurred. You reverted my revisions thrice, which is edit warring.[Template fetch failed for https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Template:papi?action=raw: HTTP 404] 01:55, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

As per standard practice, the page has been returned to its status prior to the edit war. It will remain as such and protected until such a time as consensus is reached. Richie9999 (talk) 02:11, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

When I looked at this before heading to bed I saw the addition of an unneeded bullet, the uncapping of the Tardis and the removal of the full name, which although not required is nice flavour. I image a fair few people would click on the link just to know what it stood for and be done. "which is bigger on the inside" has no value I agree, I just didn't spot it at the time of the of revert; contextually it comes out of no-where. "Time travel machine" is janky to read, plus there are too many links in it.
This encounter is a reference to the British sci-fi show Doctor Who. The blue box is the Doctor's time machine, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space).
At most the above is what I feel should be there. A link to the doctor is unnecessary in my opinion, he doesn't appear in Fallout at all and if someone wants to know about him there are already two links to Tardis. To paraphrase Richie it "is pop culture that anyone who knows the TARDIS or recognizes it will know". Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:11, July 10, 2017 (UTC)
