My game[edit source]

The scope doesnt change color in my game regardless of time of day or lighting.

Which platform do you have so it can be noted as a bug? I have the PC version and it adjusts fine for me. J5689 12:19, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't change for me either on the PS3 version, and yes I have the latest update.--BLACK LENNY 13:35, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Same for me with PS3, and same with the Ratslayer. If the Ranger Combat Helmet also id suppose to improve optic quality at night it also does not change, possibly linking this bug beyond the night scope of these weapons. (Black Op, 12,3,2010.)

Medium or long range?[edit source]

In the New Vegas weapon mods page, it states "Adds long-range night scope". On this page, it states "Adds medium range night vision scope" Which is accurate?--68.100.64.165 03:19, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Bugs[edit source]

"Sometimes while using the scope outdoors during the day the scope will turn everything a false yellow, while other times it will become a regular scope."

I'm not sure if this is a bug, as far as I can tell the yellow tint is present at dawn and dusk. I have not experienced this problem indoors or during daylight hours and I believe it can be an (perhaps intended) effect of the system. Thoughts? --Sheriff G. Spelling 22:19, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Friend of the night[edit source]

It seems that having the Friend of the night perk keeps the night vision effect from occuring when scoped in. Can anyone confirm this?

more bugs[edit source]

on PS3 it seems that the scope will bug out and actually cause the screen to bug out when you zoom in, creating large colored shapes which inhibit the view of the screen, but returns to normal when you zoom out again.

PS3 all updates: I have the same problem with the night optics; When zooming in in 1st person, most of the screen will only display mint green, pink, blue and black colors, leaving only a fingernail sized rectangle untouched, making the varmint rifle usless. tried to unholster, putting the rifle a container and reload the game without success. Any suggestions? EDIT: After patching up to 3.6.0, while having the rifle in the cabinet in my Novac motelroom and doing other quests, the bug was fixed.

Script or Effect Name in G.E.C.K[edit source]

Hello, could someone please tell what the script or effect name is in the GECK, I want to attach it to some binoculars and make night vision ones, so i need to know the script OR EFFCT name. Please note that I have little GECK experience.

EDIT=I got it!!! But one problem, it is not affected by my BetterBinocularsMax mod, it increases the zoom, can i fix this by changing the load order in FOMM?
