Seems incorrect/outdated[]

I'm not entirely certain this is wrong but it seems to be from my gameplay. I do not get well rested when sleeping in random spots anymore. I only get the perk in certain beds like my settlements. Can anyone with more knowledge of the game confirm?

You're right, this reads like someone mixed up their fallout 3/NV with 4. I tried to take a look at it now, but being on phone it's going to be a pain. I'll look again tonight and see what I can do. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:16, July 12, 2017 (UTC)
The page is still wrong, you can't sleep in any bed you come across. It seems to work just like previous games, only any bed built in settlements are considered "owned" by the player, and a bed being assigned to a settler makes no difference. Aside from settlements, there's a few that work, like one in the Railroad HQ, your bed in the Prydwen, I'm sure there's others too. ReapTheChaos (talk) 08:31, September 24, 2017 (UTC)

It doesn't last 12 hours[]

Just tested it in my settlement. Sleep for 10 hours and wait for 7, the Well Rested perk is still there. Wait for another hour, it's gone. So I can safely assume the Well Rested perk last for 8 hours not 12. Tested it on PC very hard difficulty. CrazyNecro (talk) 07:20, January 20, 2019 (UTC)

You are absolutely correct. According to the Creation Kit the duration of the effect is 1440 real-world seconds, which is 24 real-world minutes. Since the game's timescale is set to be 20 times as fast as the real world, 24 real-world minutes translate to 480 in-game minutes, which is the same as 8 in-game hours.
