Frost Bite

Anybody think that the lack of covering for your fingers on the pipboy hand would result in frostbite?

Given that it's a simulation? No. You can strip nekkid and run around without clothes on and be fine (as long as you don't get hit by bullets). --MadDawg2552 19:55, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, a hyper-realistic simulation. 23:07, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Obtaining the Unobtainable

Anyone know how to add this item using console?I've already beaten the DLC but while trying to use the base ID supplied here I get a error.

player.additem 01003AF9 1 works fine for me. // Porter21 U | T 11:06, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Note that the first two numbers change depending on when the plugin loads. I can't explain it very well, maybe someone else can. --Macros 12:03, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Are you sure? I could imagine refids to change but baseids should remain the same, given that they are preset in the game files. // Porter21 U | T 12:07, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Base ids do change depending on the load order. This is probably why he can't get it to work.
Also note there's an alternate version that doesn't have 1 million hp. From reading the GECK, it looks like they planned on giving the player that version along with the rest of the loot, but decided not to for some reason. But they left it in the GECK. Maybe we should put that in the article as well. --Macros 12:15, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Or he/she simply forgot to add the 1 add the end, most common additem mistake ;-)
There are wasteland versions for most of the simulation stuff, most of it unused, it's the same for weapons. // Porter21 U | T 12:17, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

ah yes,it was player.additem 0'2'003AF9 1 for me,thanks guys.

The first two digits change depending on how many add-ons you have. If Operation Anchorage is your only one, the first two digits will be 01. You add 1 for every add-on you have. You also have to keep in mind that it's in hex, and, if I remember correctly, if you add 1 to 09, you get 0A. Hex decimals only go to 'F' so once it gets to 0F, the next number would be 10. If I'm incorrect, feel free to correct me. --MadDawg2552 15:53, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Keeping it in the Wastes!

http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=949970&hl= That includes a 9 Million Hp Gauss Rifle, for the 100% repair crybabies. All credit goes to the rather creative DRG6520. BSMaker 01:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but does it really matter who did it in the first place? I mean I found one too (probably at the same time others did), and even improved on others, but you don't see me running around saying I helped or improved it do you? No, no you don't. There are lots of people who came up with this crap, just some post faster than others. Lame imo Reflect 01:53, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

I was recently on the IRC and someone said they got 2 WCA and i want to know how is this possible or not. 05:31, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, kill the quartermaster. Reflect 21:56, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Does the WCA have to be repaired? So far mine (glitched out on xbox 360) has taken a huge beating and is in top condition.-- 03:35, 19 March 2009 (UTC)DrNick

Technically it will eventually need repair, but for purpose of discussion, no. The reason it can take a huge beating is because of its highly abnormal cnd or hp (whatever they call it). I think it is like 900,000 or something. Anyways it is not a glitch because apparently it was set like that (I think someone checked the geck or something). Reflect 05:10, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Still, there is no reason to say you don't need to repair it and use the word VERY and in all caps. All that needs to be put is that it can be repaired.-- 03:12, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Bugs (Keeping it in the wastes.)

While playing on the x-box 360 i kept the winterized armor by using Gary 23's body i put on the winterized helmet and the tried to put on the TB-51 winterized helmet and had them both on. then i took the brother hood power helmet and all of my other armor helmets. enclave, enclave tesla. and had them all equipped. anybody else had this done?Spartanac911 02:30, 18 June 2009 (UTC)spartanmac911

were you wearing the Chinese Stealth Suit?GodPlageon 04:13, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

pretty sweet armor

the best thing about this armor is you can get it at begining of game, use gary 23 to get it out of sim+a infinite use minigun-gauss rifle+plus any other weapons u chose, and charon will wear winterized combat armor over any armor i give him(including winterized T-51b power armor)hell wear the t 51-b helmet over the winterized helmet but i dont give him one cause he looks cool with the armor on.Toolazytomakeaaccount 07:01, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
