Quote: It Most Likely look like the UFO, from "When the earth stood still"

I'm not meaning to be nit-picky, but the movie is called "The Day the Earth Stood Still," not "When the Earth Stood Still." Besides, do we have any source for this information, or is it just an educated guess? We do know what the other alien ships in previous Fallout games look like, i.e. they are in fact saucer-shaped, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the mother ship will look like a prop from a particular movie. In addition, we may not even get to see the outside of the ship at all, as it seems from the description that all of the action will take place INSIDE the ship. On the other hand, I can understand the desire to put SOMETHING up on this page... I wish Bethesda would leak us some screenshots or something! Likewise, it is a good guess that more Alien Power Cells will be available inside the ship, and probably a Blaster or two, but I'm willing to bet that we won't care about the Blasters once we see some OTHER alien weapons! Wheee, little green men must die! Can't wait. 06:13, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Just speculation, I removed it. -- Porter21 (talk) 06:23, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Good to see someone overly confident in their ability to drop aliens. Seriously, how are we going to survive a hit from one o' those things? Every hit turns into a critical... Anyway, I'm expecting some big Star Destroyer thing for the mothership, although a 50's disk is also probable. Nitpicker of the Wastes 18:52, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

mutated ship of independance day? (the mothership) or the ship of the movie "sphere". there are endless possebilities. NEED SCREENSHOTS WAAH62.163.88.139 17:58, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Am I the only one who thinks the soundtrack for this next DLC is going to kick ass just by the description?

The ending.

How much do you want to bet the ship explodes at the end. Ether that or you negotiate with the aliens to let you go.... Im definantly going with the explosion than! --Radraider 17:38, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Well, it says you can return now... 21:07, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

My guess is that there is a teleporter signal at the Alien Crash Site that can be used repeatedly. --wouter215 11:52, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I wonder about the teleportation. That was my first thought as well, but after looking at the screenshot attached to this page, it looks as if the picture is taken from some kind of smaller craft. That screenshot might have been taken from a sequence in which the player is actually being abducted and taken to the mothership for the first time, similar to the first boat ride in Point Lookout. (Just speculation, of course.) If that's the case, it might still be possible to teleport back later, who knows? As long as we're free to speculate, though... I think the Lone Wanderer is going to defeat the aliens, win control of the mothership, and then land that puppy somewhere in the Wasteland. (I mean, isn't the White House front lawn the traditional 50s-era landing spot for giant UFOs? Too bad it's in such disrepair at the moment. But there are plenty of wide-open spaces in the CW that would do fine.) That would be awesome. And like somebody else has already pointed out, Protector Casdin would totally freak out... "Here comes that local who always brings us junky old lasers and power armor... wonder what he's got this time?" (Lone Wanderer pushes a button on a remote control and blinding lights break through the clouds above as the mothership descends silently... Casdin makes funny noises...) 07:14, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

I bet the Lone Wanderer blows a chunk out of the ship and CRASHES into the patomic or somewhere wide open like south of Jury Street Metro where ther is nothing and also yeh i think a recon craft (like the crashed) one abducts the Lone Wanderer, more like Point Lookout than say a teleport, but then they could do more of the cracked white writing like in the opening missions saying " Two Hours Later" or something so we can't know until more infos released.

I think handing an alien mothership over to Casadin would land you a pretty big haul of Radaway.

This ship is HUGE!

judging from the screenshots, this ship would be the same sise as the entire exterior and interior of rivet city and megaton combined!--wouter215 18:58, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Air Supply is gonna be there.... Performing fo the aliens of course--BloodOmelet 22:54, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

USS Enterprise

Can we get some Picard on this bitch? Seriously, Patrick Stewart was in Oblivion, I think he should be supreme commander of the alien fleet. Oh how my mind wanders. Lone wanders...

Mysterious Door?

I just finished the last mission and the captain's qauters are now mine. Or are they? I Sally standing next to a door that says "This door is acitvated some where else". Can somone tell me what's behind this door? (I'm using 360 ver., so I can't turn off clipping =P)

There's nothing in it, it's just a stock door used to let Alien enemies in during the last fight with the other Alien Ship. --MeanOlBob 02:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Stasis Chamber?

At the end of the quest line, you get the captains quarters as a home, somewhat. When i try to use the Stasis Chamber, it only opens and closes how do i sleep in it??

Without a mod, you can't, the alien ship has nothing useful in it after the DLC other than the 2 npcs that can give you alien guns and ammo. --MeanOlBob 02:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Just a question?

What is the huge bright spot on the Earth's surface?

It's the explosion from the death ray beam mounted beneath the upper part of the ship when it fires a warning shot to tell your party to back off.

No it's not it's a reflection of the sun, it can't be the death ray cuz if you fire it in the Death Ray Hub section the blast eventually clears. Bio Enhancment 411 20:24, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

When I first saw it, I immediately thought of the polar openings purported in the hollow earth theory. It's a theory held by some that postulates that our planet is actually hollow, with an inner-sun at the core and one large opening at each pole. I imagine that such a hole seen from outer space would look exactly like the glowing spot on the planet as seen in Mothership Zeta. Is Bethesda trying to tell us something?

US and Them... anyone else?

Isn't it just a tad bit strange that only inventions and items of HUMAN origin are found on this craft? Are humans and... what ever the aliens are, the only sentient beings in the galaxy, or even the know universe? A bit depressing but wouldn't there be evidence of otherwise? Why would the aliens only pick on us if there were others out there. Maybe i'm just crazy though..... or Bethesda never thought of it. Sorry i don't have a sign in ID. I'm a PS3 user if it makes any difference?

Well seeing as they had a Samurai they have been taking stuff from earth for a long time and experimenting and anaylising us, bringing other species into the mix would have meant more work for them, traveling between planets, anaylising more equipment etc. etc. - RASIC 22:34, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

People. It's called LAZY DEVELOPERS. Nitty 23:12, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

It's either lazy developers or it's that the aliens have more than one ship and this one is the one assigned to earth and they have others elswhere, maybe the ship you destroy at the end was another one passing by on the way back from another planet, or maybe its an ordinance inspector that goes around each ship inspecting progress and it realised that the earth 'project' was failing.Bio Enhancment 411 00:54, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry signed it wrong. Bio Enhancment 411 00:55, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry again how do you get it blue? - Bio Enhancment 411 00:55, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Have you made your user page yet? - RASIC 00:57, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

This particular ship was made for the sole purpose of monitering HUMANS for some unknown reason. Maybe the aliens have researched other alien lifeforms, but if they kept everything they found from every alien they ever discovered in one ship, it would get sort of cramped hehe ;] Ashlyyn 03:11, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

pre-set Target???

I've been wondering for a while now... if you adjust the death rays trajectory before firing, down in the hub but don't set it to earth, then it fires into a random point out in space... where? if Earth is a preset choice of target then the other point must be too, give me you ideas on this or an actual answer. Here's another concept, as the world is turning and the target on the earth doesn't seem to be changing if you waited half an in-game day should'nt the point where the beam hits be different? and therefore at one point be somewhere about Englands position? again some feedback would be good. Bio Enhancment 411 17:11, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Over Megaton?

When I was playing Mothership Zeta, I noticed that the PIP-Boy said that I was nearby Megaton. Is this a glitch or has anyone noticed this as well...--KnightNapier 23:36, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Just checked, and it says I'm over the Alien Homing Beacon.--Marshmallow2166 19:05, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Safe containers?

My invintory is full, if I place items in the containers in Energy Core, will they always be in there? After the quest?

Yes my friend they will just kill all in the ship apart from the little girl the other people will steal your things?

it puts me over tenpenny tower Bio Enhancment 411 17:52, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

Reactivating the doors

i'm trying to use the console command mentioned on the article but nothing happens they just say inaccesible(or how its spelled) could anyone tell me whats wrong

looking through the edit history, an old version of the instructions was confusing, but more correct. Click the door, and you'll see a formID of something like 0500d863. You need to use 'prid 0X00d85f' where the X is the same as the second character in the door prid. Just verified.

the doors query

The problem is that you require a high level in science or that if you have been seen by an alien if you have neither then here is a type of thing that could go into the hanger bay (hidden location) and you will find a prototype plasma gun which is really good and you can use this to fuse the door control panel therefore opening the door :) if you require more information please feel free to ask.

Maybe just Maybe

What if in the course of mother ship zeta you blew up so many generators that you DID disable the death ray but in order to use it again you needed to get power from other parts of the ship (this explains why you cant get back to some areas of the ship)

Why do the let u have the ship when you can not fully explore the previos places that stinlks and wha ta big waste of time --DeirdreKent101 19:53, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Renamed in "Zeta"

As stated in the template, "mothership" is just the category of the ship (like with the unnamed support mothership) and its name is only Zeta, like "Theta" for recon craft. Itachou [~talk~] 17:09, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Good idea, I support this move. --TheBearPaw 19:36, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
