Ferris Bueller

Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come to the phone right now. I'm afraid that in my weakened condition, I could take a nasty spill down the stairs and subject myself to further school absences. You can reach me instead by leaving a message on my Talk-Page. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Have a nice day! Legion

They are my preferred playthrough in all honesty, with House firmly behind them. Most people look at the slavery aspect of the Legion and write them off as irredeemably 'bad' or 'evil', which makes it impossible for them to realize the countless 'good' aspects of the Legion. For example, they have made far more progress than the NCR already despite only existing a mere fraction of the time they have.

All of the bandits and Raiders in Legion territory are dead or run off, all trade in Legion territory is safe as houses and fair so long as you don't try to sell them chems or alcohol. So do I think they are trying to do the right thing? Without a doubt. The world was built on the backs of slaves, so it is only natural that it be rebuilt that old familiar way.

Admittedly though, my own reasons for helping Kaesar and his Legion is a bit more selfish in design. With the revelation about the fate of Navarro, I decided I've had just about enough of NCR, and now I want to see them suffer in every imaginable way. My character is a Secret Service agent of the Enclave, so he infiltrates the Legion to use them as tools for vengeance against NCR. RETRIBUTION!! :P

That's just my personal two bottle caps on the matter though. Enclavesymbol 00:18, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

Enclave VP re-vote

Me and Eden have agreed that there needs to be a re-vote since the VP that was voted in seems to be inactive all the time and I think why he was voted in was that he was a NCR supporter and people wanted to "troll" us. I Know that everyone has the freedom to become a candidate I think we should have some kind of "rules" to who can be in the vote. Just talk to Eden for details and all that hopefully we can get a good VP Enclavesymbol Spocklan116 02:19, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

Add-ons

Yeah, I would have liked to play some of the add-ons, but the thing is, I don't have a hard drive for my Xbox. I use memory sticks. And I don't have access to the internet with my Xbox, either. And I'd have a hell of a time explaining to dad why I need a 25 dollar hard drive for a 10 dollar game. Besides, playing the add-ons would require patches, and those introduced some things into the game that I'd rather do without, like 75 cap stimpaks and some added bugs to companions. I think I can do better off without add-ons, even if I do miss out on the content. Leea (talk) 18:10, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

Dude, where did you get this info that my game was always crashing? 'Cause I have to tell you: it isn't. I have hardly any problems with freezing. Actually, I have less freezing bugs with New Vegas than I did with Fallout 3. There are some bugs that exist, just that they are mildly annoying, like enemy HP not displaying properly in V.A.T.S. sometimes, or mild clipping bugs, or an odd bug with my arms flipping up over my head (though everything still works fine) when using one-handed and two-handed Guns and Energy Weapons in first-person. And there's no way of "just buying an Ethernet cord, they're cheap," because I have dial-up internet. Ain't gonna work. =P Leea (talk) 11:30, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Hey

Hey, Nate has mentioned you to me on many occasions too and suggested that we get acquainted but I'm really quite awful with introductions and I never knew quite what to say so although I had been meaning to I never did get around to it. I'll be on and off of here, I've been rather busy with things lately so I haven't really been very sociable, mostly restricting social times to holidays, but I'll try to be more active again when I can. My Skype is the same as my username if you'd like to talk more directly that on the talk pages, I have Nate on there so we could even have a little group chat if you would like. It's really nice to meet you, I'll be looking forward to hearing from you again.

Poll idea

Hey Brandon. I had an idea for the next Polls.

Do you prefer scoped or non-scoped weapons in Fallout 3?

  • Scoped
  • Non-scoped
  • No preference

I had thought about just having it without a certain game parameter, but since New Vegas has scopes (mostly) as a mod, and Fallout 3's scoped weapons were that way by default, I thought I'd make the question more precise. Leea (talk) 22:29, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

Games

Thanks for the suggestion. =) About a month ago I got a new F.E.A.R. game: F.E.A.R. 2. I had held out in not getting it, I had the first game, non-cannon expansions, and F.E.A.R. 3, but not the middle game, because I had read about it and knew it was depressing and had a sad ending. Moreover, I knew what would happen to every character in the game, but over time my curiosity was peaked and I bought it last month for five dollars. Cheapest game I ever bought, but not "cheap" in the gameplay or graphics and stuff, though it definitely had one of those characters in it that drives you nuts, and worse, you only meet them in non-interactive cutscenes, so you can't kill them either. Argh! =/

And you better get ready: I've got loads of suggestions for Polls for you! You better post 'em sometime, too! =P Leea (talk) 22:47, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

More Poll Ideas from Santa Jaws

Do you use the force lock option?

  • Yes, all the time. I like to take risks.
  • Sometimes. When I am feeling lucky.
  • No. Thin and crispy, way too risky.

What's your opinion on the appearance of weather (e.g. rain, snow, lightning, thunder etc) in the next Fallout?

  • I'm all for it!
  • No way, Jose!
  • Radioactive Acid Rain only!
  • Other (Specify in comments)

Santa Jaws (talk) 18:08, May 19, 2014 (UTC)

Mr. House

He is an interesting one, and I fully admit that I am interpreting him the way I want to - I see him as a proven pre-War visionary that has the resources, intelligence and knowledge needed to bring the world back from the brink of destruction. He is brash, and many times egocentric. But with his willing sacrifice of body, it becomes clear that there can be no material gains for him. It is clear he chose to sacrifice his humanity in an effort to restore humanity as a whole. So he might be an authoritarian, but I know I can always rest assured that the man will remain an unswaying paragon of his beliefs. Personally, if the option were available, I would revert all sentient life back to their primitive states to restore balance across the world. But House is working with what he has to create a functional society, and I have to respect the man for that. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 17:55, May 23, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Fallout Hub ending

I downloaded Fallout FIXT, which includes a few optional mods and all official (plus unofficial) patches to make it more stable and fun to play..., it also includes a few things that were cut because of Interplay's and Black Isle's (now Obsidian Entertainment) deadlines. --Breakin'Benny (talk) 13:28, May 25, 2014 (UTC)

PS: And yes, it includes the option to report Iguana Bob Frazier...in addition to pick if he goes to jail or stays at his Iguana stand with lower prices. --Breakin'Benny (talk) 06:24, May 26, 2014 (UTC)

Not a problem, the only things we can blame is deadlines and the guys going apeshit because of using GURPS in a game where people can be killed. I'll have to add that the FIXT mod doesn't include part of the original Update Mod, which lated became renamed to the "Restoration Project"; we still cannot ask to join the Blades, nor deliver Romero's locket, not even have a proper quest in finding the Children's spy (Heather). Neil is a mandatory to even allow the Followers of the Apocalypse to go as far as Sector 2 on the Fallout world map, but travel way east to Mojave. --Breakin'Benny (talk) 10:54, May 27, 2014 (UTC)

First and last but no middle game!

Yeah. How weird does that sound? Hahaha. But, no, I didn't get it for the longest time because I was scared of it but because I knew it had a very sad ending (I cheated and read everything about it even when I didn't have it yet), and because I like happy endings, I held out for a long time in not getting it. But finally my curiosity was spiked about what the gameplay and new environments would be like and so I got it last month. Do you have any games from the F.E.A.R. series? Unlike Mass Effect, they are story driven and you don't get a choice in anything, but I think that the story more than makes up for it. If you like horror, paranormal stuff, un-ethical mega-corporations, and experiments gone awry in your videogames, you'd love F.E.A.R. games. Leea (talk) 11:49, May 27, 2014 (UTC)

Junktown

That entry was an allusion to the fact that originally, in Fallout, the choice to side with Killian or Gizmo was initially in favour of Gizmo's, as Gizmo would lead to a prosperous town with a future, while Killian would actually end up running the town into the ground. However, for some reason or another, Interplay decided to go with the clearly defined good vs. evil route, and stuck with Killian being the good choice for Junktown. It was confirmed in Fallout 2 that Killian was the canon choice, and I do seem to recall that Junktown was mentioned in New Vegas. However, I am also under the impression that neither Killian nor Gizmo were mentioned in New Vegas, making the alleged canon connection a load of BS.

I have not memorized every ounce of dialogue, so I am not 100% sure. But my stance is as follows:

  • It is canon that Killian was the canon choice for Junktown, and Junktown was eventually made into a NCR state.
  • No mention of Gizmo or Killian in Fallout: New Vegas, meaning the canon choice between the two could not have been elaborated upon in that particular game.

Hope that helps. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 16:15, May 27, 2014 (UTC)

Can't help but find it funny...

You know, I can't help but find it funny that I'm trying to convince you to buy a F.E.A.R. game and you're trying to convince me to buy a Mass Effect game. =D Also, I've got some Poll ideas for you; you don't have to use them right away, but do please use them sometime in the (near) future.

Hmmm. Interesting coincidence, although Jack from Bioshock died with former Little Sisters comforting him, not a dog. =P Although I have not played it in a while, I still love Bioshock. While there are space games, horror games, and many other types of games, there aren't many games with an Art Deco city under the ocean, with elemental powers to boot. That always made it pretty damn unique, in my view. How did you like fighting Fontaine? His boss model at the end gave me the creeps, and his melee attacks could easily knock you across the room. I also liked that you could revisit (before the end, of course) most of the levels, just in case you missed something the first time, or just wanted to search every nook and cranny for stuff. If you liked the first game, you should also try its sequel, though I have heard from some people who have played Bioshock 2 that it was a rip-off of the first, though I didn't think so. You get to play as a Big Daddy in the sequel, but as a compromise, the enemies are tougher. There are also more plasmids in Bioshock 2 than there were in Bioshock. Leea (talk) 22:32, May 29, 2014 (UTC)

Poll Idea

Hey yo, had an idea for apoll question. Was thinking of something along the lines of people's most frustrating quest. Wasn't sure if you'd done it before. Few of the big ones that come to mind would be:

-Wasteland Survival Guide (Long, tedious albeit rewarding)

-A Valuable Lesson (Worthless reward besides XP if you don't use energy weapons)

-The Nuka-Cola Challenge (Long, kinda random, reward is subjective in its value)

-Beyond the Beef (Very buggy)

-Anything to do with the Hubologists (Being Hubologists, I don't know, that might just be me)

Submitted for your consideration.
