Raul Tejada is a ghoul that is living in the Mojave Wasteland. Raul's story is one of legend and loneliness. He was born in Mexico before the Great War and was a good shot, but really excelled at working with his hands as a mechanic. After Great War refuges burned down the house at Hidalgo Ranch with his family inside, only Raul and his little sister Raphaela survived. They sought new shelter in Mexico City, not knowing the nature of the atomic bombs. His sister was killed by raiders in the city and after avenging her, he wandered to the Gulf coast and took up residence in an unclaimed Petró-Chico refinery, where he continued to slowly ghoulify. He later would wander to Arizona and then west to the Mojave, where he heard the unsteady Black Mountain Radio broadcast and offered his repairman skills to Tabitha. To his dismay, Tabitha kept him around after the transmitter was fixed to do menial repairs around the facility. Should the Courier free him from Black Mountain, he will join them, but will be hesitant of his capabilities as he's getting on in years. He is conflicted in whether he should give up and be a relaxed repairman for the remainder of his life, or bring back his pistolas and continue life as a gunslinging vaquero.
