Walkthrough
If you talk to Barkus you can arrange Joshua's release in one of several ways:

* Convince the guard that Joshua has contracted the (insert Chosen One's name)'s Syndrome (Speech 80% or Doctor 75%).

* Offer a bribe (from $250 to $1000 depending on your Barter skill).

* If you're a citizen, you can tell Barkus that Joshua is a troublesome individual and should be kicked out before he causes others to act up as well or that he may be infected (Speech 75%).

* If you're Captain of the Guard you can just order his release.

* Do it by force, but it's not recommended because everyone will turn hostile towards you.

  +
Background
In either case you get 500 XP if you set him free. Go to his tent in the Courtyard and talk to his wife for an added reward of $32.

Maybe you've seen some of those big, imposing Securitrons with their lovely laser guns and rocket launchers - SCARY faces? I'm not one of those.— Muggy

Muggy is a robot operating at the Big MT in 2281.

Background

Muggy is a neurotic miniature Securitron made by Dr. 0 out of hatred for Mr. House. As such, Muggy does not sport a policeman's or a soldier's face, but rather his screen displays an animated version of a smiling, bucktoothed coffee cup. Muggy is programmed to have an obsession with coffee mugs and to be aware of this obsession without being able to do anything about it, which in turn torments him.

Muggy harbors a deep-seated resentment for Dr. 0, for creating him as a mug-obsessed joke of a Securitron, and for subsequently becoming a brain in a pod who no longer drinks coffee, meaning that there are no new mugs for Muggy to clean. He is also angered by all the dirty dishes out in the open, with nobody to clean them. Because of this, he is probably the second most violent character in The Sink, next to the Toaster.
