Spore carrier.png
Spore carriers are dead humans colonized by bioengineered Beauveria mordicana fungus. Developed in the X-22 botanical garden at the Big Mountain Research and Development Center, it was later handed over to Vault 22 to conduct further research. The fungus thrived in laboratory settings and eventually infected the entire vault, forcing those still alive to flee to Zion Canyon where the fungus spread even further. The colony technically kills the host after completely taking over and uses the body as transportation to spread its spores further. The resulting creature is a mossy green quadruped that docilely rests in dense foliage until disturbed. Upon being disturbed, the host body growls and attacks the intruder savagely trying to infect it with fungal spores.
