Fallout 3 is the third main game in the Fallout series, developed and published by Bethesda Softworks and released in 2008. The game involves the Lone Wanderer, a vault dweller from Vault 101, and their search for their father who ran away from the vault. They search the Capital Wasteland high and low before finding him, but soon discover the Enclave's presence in the Capital Wasteland. Teaming up with a rogue contingency of the Brotherhood of Steel, they wipe the Enclave from the region and are successful in starting a water purifier, bringing clean water to the desolate wasteland.
