The Vault of the Future is an ambient track composed by Mark Morgan for the original Fallout, released in 1997. It was later re-used in Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. A remastered version of the track was released on Morgan's Vault Archives album in 2010.

Overview

An industrial track, relying on electronic sounds, sampled speech, and key typing to create the atmosphere of a Vault.

If one listens closely, Russian murmuring as well as whispering voice in reverse can be heard, which says: "...в докладах рассматривается эволюция ядерных арсеналов и социально-психологическая проблема гонки вооружения..." ("...the reports examines the evolution of nuclear arsenals and socially psychological problem of the arms race ...").
