The Whitespring is a location in Fallout 76.

Background[edit | edit source]

Main article: The Whitespring

Built in 1858 and named for a natural sulphur spring on the grounds,[1]. The Whitespring was famous for its southern style and sulfur springs. The Whitespring Resort had a long history of business with the federal government and counted sitting US presidents among its guests. Under great financial strain before the war, The Whitespring was forced to sell much of its surrounding land and replace the resort staff with more cost-effective robots.[2]

The robotic staff has maintained the resort in an almost spotless condition, with its interiors pristine and undisturbed by the Great War. This includes a broad range of services, including all kinds of automated vendors, a crafting center, and other amenities for visitors to use. The robots have long since ceased taking reservations, although they do not mind travelers passing through the halls and making use of the services. As for the rich who once lived in the Whitespring after the war... They all moved on, expiring within the walls of the resort. Their remains have been buried with honors befitting their position in society: Dumped in the trash containers out back.[3]

Points of interest[edit | edit source]

  • The resort is absolutely vast, though its pristine hallways offer little in the way of loot. Its central location is used instead to provide players with high-end vendors selling every possible kinds of goods, from firearms to various crafting plans. The lowest floor is essentially the merchant mile, and also includes the Artisan's Corner with every single crafting station available in the game and the players' stash.
