The tire iron is a melee weapon in Fallout 3.

Characteristics[]

This common weapon, often used by raiders, is not very strong compared to other melee weapons. Although not a highly damaging weapon, it has a fast attack speed, so many blows can be landed quickly. It can be repaired with other tire irons, and can be acquired easily throughout the wasteland.

Durability[]

The tire iron can successfully strike about 667 times from full condition before breaking.

Variants[]

  • Highwayman's Friend - A unique tire iron found in Canterbury Commons. Slightly more powerful than the regular tire iron, the Highwayman's Friend is also much more durable. However, it weighs two pounds more than its non-unique variant.

Notes[]

The tire iron seems to be a weaker lead pipe with a different model as they share the same sounds, swing style and speed.
