The cargo plane is a vehicle that appears in the Mojave Wasteland.

Background[]

Before the Great War, cargo planes were used to transport materials as opposed to passengers.[Non-game 1]

Characteristics[]

The cargo plane is a light green, double folding wing aircraft. Its design allows for easier storage of the aircraft in hangars and on the runway. Aircraft designed for cargo flight have features that distinguish them from conventional passenger aircraft such as a wide fuselage cross-section, a high-wing to allow the cargo area to sit near the ground, numerous wheels to allow it to land at unprepared locations, and a high-mounted tail to allow cargo to be driven directly into and off the aircraft.[Non-game 2]

Locations[]

Appearances[]

The cargo plane appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenes[]

The cargo plane closely resembles the Douglas C-47 Skytrain, used by Allied forces during the Second World War.
