The U-Mine-It! vending machine is a world object in Fallout 76.
Background[edit | edit source]
Part of the gig economy that emerged in the automation-obsessed Appalachia, the U-Mine-It! vending machines allowed surveyors to sell rights to deposits of metals they uncovered, which were then made available to miners through the machines. As such, miners could theoretically work at their leisure, but the steep prices and the lack of apparent verification meant that it was one more way to keep them in poverty.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
- Players can purchase survey maps from the machine, which will start Lucky Strike and spawn resource nodes for mining in the target area.
Locations[edit | edit source]
- Rusty Pick
- Nuka Cola factory
- Mount Blair
- Sal's Grinders
- Lucky Strike: "I've purchased a map from a "U-Mine-It!" Machine leading to a nearby prospecting site. I should proceed to the site to discover if my purchase was worthwhile."
