The US Army combat armor is a piece of armor in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.

Background[edit | edit source]

Main article: Combat armor

Modelled after the human silhouette and designed to provide balanced protection that does not limit mobility on the battlefield, combat armors are a diverse family of personal body armor of varying degrees of sophistication, from the earliest iterations of the armor developed by the United States Army[1] to the cutting-edge riot gears that came into use prior to the Great War.[2]

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

A suit of standard US Army combat armor, consisting of olive drab armor plates affixed to a light brown uniform. A single golden chevron is painted on each pauldron, denoting the owner as the rank of private in the United States Armed Forces.

The US Army combat armor offers a higher damage threshold than normal combat armor or reinforced combat armor, with only slightly less than combat armor, reinforced mark 2. Although it has better durability than the other variants, it still comes short of the reinforced, mark 2 variant.

It has the effect "Superior training" which grants a small bonus to the Guns and Survival skills. In additions to the pouches added to the armor, the shoulder plates are also shaped slightly different from other combat armors.
