"Ban"[]

Well, unless he removed content from a few pages that'd happen, but not in this case. He has been blocked for a period of 3 days. If it continues afterwards, it will turn into a week. Nukey (talk) 17:29, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Ok that sounds reasonable considering he went back and changed somthing we undid 4 times. -bleep196- 17:58, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it was correct of him to go back and change it. Nitty Tok. 18:05, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Oh well then my bad. -bleep196- 18:13, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Block Time Increasing???[]

For some reason the Block time on my editing function keeps increasing everytime i go to edit somthing despite the fact that it's been 24 hours since i've been blocked. Anyone know why?

I checked your block settings, and I don't see a problem. Yesterday you were blocked for a period of one day. The block should be lifted today, if it's not already. Cheers.--Gothemasticator 18:09, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Ah ok thanks.-bleep196- 20:08, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Removing people's signatures[]

I'm sure this was some sort of mistake on your part, but please try and not repeat it. On the page Talk: Tri-beam laser rifle (Fallout: New Vegas) you reverted an edit where an anonymous user went back and signed his comment that he had forgotten to sign; you left the note "Do not edit other peoples Discussion statements!" on that edit, but the only thing that was changed between your version and the previous one, was the signature on that post. Kris mailbox 20:22, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

My bad when i was looking at the page it looked like he had gone back and edited more than just his sig i'm not sure why it showed me that but i'll try to avoid that in the future.-bleep196- 20:25, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

If you want to send a message to someone, instead of putting it on your talk page, put it on theirs. That way they get the "You have new messages (last change)" thing. Tezzla CannonStop that 20:28, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Also, there's something odd about my sig, that when people edit a page that I've previously signed, the signature will be altered slightly. Not sure why it does this, but the alteration is minor and doesn't hurt anything. I had signed the page a couple times previously, so that might be what you were seeing. Kris mailbox 20:34, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Lines of text getting mashed together[]

If you only put one line break in, then the wiki will ignore it when rendering the page to HTML for the browser. However, if you use the <br> tag, it'll put a single line break, and if you put in 2 or more line breaks, it won't ignore 'em. When it absolutely MUST be a single line break, use <br>; otherwise use 2 line breaks (i.e. press enter twice) or more, if it needs more than 2 line breaks. Kris mailbox 20:51, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

That anon[]

Nothing I can do about some anon running amok, except help fix the damage, since I'm not an admin. Sam blocked him though. Kris mailbox 03:27, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Dog pic[]

Woops, sorry about that. I'm always forgetting to do that, its been a while since I last got around to editing.^^

My talk page[]

Please don't edit other people's posts on my talk page, whatever the reason. If I wanted to clean up his vulgar language I would have done so. --Kris mailbox 22:46, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

relatively[]

You had the spelling wrong, it's spelled "relatively." Please be more careful in the future when correcting spelling, to ensure you have it right. --Kris mailbox 23:54, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

page moves[]

It's a Wikia policy, not even the admins of the individual wikis have any control over it. --Kris mailbox 16:29, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

You can bypass it by using multiple tabs at the same time. I think... Tezzla CannonUser Tezzla Dog 16:32, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Key ring[]

Based on the edit history, you were the only one to ever move that page; not sure why you thought it had been moved before nut I see no evidence that this is the case. --Kris mailbox 17:16, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

"Turtle" Poster[]

I think we may have got a cultural difference here - In the UK, we (correctly) use the word "Turtle" to describe a chelonian with flippers. If it has feet and lives on the land, it's a "tortoise". Sometimes I forget that this game is set in America and therefore I must accept my language being mangled beyond recognition. ;-) JohnnyVoodoo 18:21, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

You mean this?

There should have been a list of this user's edit counts here, but the edit counts feature is no longer available.

It's just a template, {{Editcounts|-bleep196-}} --Kris mailbox 02:18, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Sub terminals[]

I understand why the changes that were made had been revereted for that page, and I'll be more aware of that in the future.

I noticed that the Sub Recovery Site terminal entries were not listed under the Point Lookout terminal entries page and had created it's own page for consistency. What is needed to be done to have that page listed under the category, does someone need to look at it? Do I even have it in the correct location because it was a little difficult to navigate through. Finicus 03:35, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

There was two of them; I got the other one. --Kris mailbox 02:05, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Cleanup tag[]

Please try to avoid using the {{cleanup}} tag without the optional parameter that describes the reason, for example: {{cleanup|decapitalization project}} - this lets other editors know exactly what the issue is that needs to be addressed. Thanks. --Kris mailbox 02:32, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Storage units[]

Storage units in Fallout 3, as a general rule, don't reset. This is different from Oblivion where they reset with the cell reset. --Kris mailbox 20:42, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

I've actually only played Oblivion once and i was under the impression because of several articles that i read on The Vault that Storage units reset...well thanks for the Info anyways. -bleep196- 20:45, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
That misconception is a direct result of a large portion of Fallout 3's fan base being Oblivion fans before. It's not a surprise that such a misconception would make its way to the Vault. :) --Kris mailbox 21:00, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

DLCs[]

You'll want to browse to the DVD drive and run the installer(s) from there. I don't have the GOTY edition(I got the CE instead, and bought the DLCs separately) so I don't know how that works exactly. --Kris mailbox 20:50, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Deathclaw in Underworld[]

That's actually a bug with the Deathclaw control scrambler, it can happen anywhere. Unless it was hostile to you, then it simply followed you in. --Kris User Hola 16:27, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Apologies, I didn't realize, however, the line

"Presumably a failed runaway, slave" sounded wrong, so I changed it to what I thought sounded better.

Hyphens[]

Apologies, I didn't know.

However, the line "Presumably a failed runaway, slave" seems to me like comma splicing.

Random "verification needed" tags[]

Why are you throwing random undated "verification needed" ({{Verify}}) tags on bugs in random articles? --Kris User Hola 02:22, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Um, no. Those tags are for bugs that haven't been verified. Though it should have a {{Platforms}} tag for the platforms which the bug exists on, even if it exists on all platforms. --Kris User Hola 02:25, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Recategorization[]

Each skill should have a separate category, yes, but first we need to finish the discussion/polls on the project's talk page. Ausir(talk) 23:00, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Bug Verification project page[]

I looked over the page, the only glaring error I was was the use of the wrong template for identifying the platform of the bug, and not using the <nowiki> tag to expose the code. You put {{Console}} when it should be {{Platforms}} (and I think I left the "s" off, I'll check it when I'm done here). Here's examples:

  • Console: pc
  • Platforms: PCPC

--Kris User Hola 23:57, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Verify template[]

I've adjusted the project page to reflect how the verify tag is supposed to work. Using five tildes "signs" the edit with just the date, but since it's inside the verify tag it doesn't show, and is only used to time the verification process. --Kris User Hola 02:16, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Once you "Save page" on the edit, the five tildes turn into an actual date code. Verify templates should be checked for a date code, and if none exists, one should be added by using five tildes. Curiously, three tildes signs your name without a date, and four signs it with a date. So 8 tildes with a space in them would either sign the same as four (space before the 4th tilde) or sign like 4 twice (space after the 4th tilde) :P --Kris User Hola

Bug pages[]

I think all the bugs on the bug pages are verified, but I don't know for sure. You could verify each one.

This seems to be a rather open-ended project, as more and more bugs are bound to be discovered and will require verification. --Kris User Hola 02:26, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, not all bugs are on all platforms. One of the defining characteristics of some bugs is the fact that they only exist on one or two of the platforms. --Kris User Hola 02:38, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Admin request[]

The rule is 3 months and 500+ Main Namespace edits. So you've got enough edits but you'll need to wait until November 5th to apply for adminship. Personally I think you'll be a shoo-in. You might ask Ausir if he'll make an exception in your case in regards to the three-month rule, with Fallout: New Vegas right around the corner. --Kris User Hola 20:19, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Admin requirements[]

No, these are the minimum requirements, sorry. If we start making exceptions, we'll end up having to make more and more of them. Ausir(talk) 20:44, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

NCR Ranger combat armor - undoing an edit?[]

I don't understand why you reverted that anon's edit removing a statement about needing training in Fallout 3. I don't recall having to get training for combat armor. --Kris User Hola 02:02, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Fallout[]

Never played the original game, probably never will.

I played all Fallout, so I can answer your question. This problem is recurrent, even at the time of this release. The only way to quickly restore the normal screen is to open the Pip-boy 2000 with the key " P " and then immediately close the Pip-boy, which transmit the screen normally.
This problem can perhaps be eliminated by removing software background as a temperature controller or another, but this solution is more than another problem you don't have who are flashing black screen every 3 seconds.
But otherwise, the solution I gave you will play normally =). Good game and see you soon on The Vault ! Itachou [~talk~] 14:19, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

[[Category:Verification_overdue]] --Gothemasticator 03:59, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

I get that you like to delete capitals. However you might want to not jump so quickly. You just deleted a section I spent time on before I was allowed literally 30 secs to go back and copy the symbol for Xbox360 and edit what I had written. In your rush to remove "XBOX360" (instead of the symbol which I was seconds away from adding) you literally left me no time to correct it. Kind of a discouragement to other users to bother submitting when others can swoop in seconds later and delete all of what you wrote. I was also following up on what another user had written, but since you deleted both their post and mine you made both our efforts useless.

Out of town/Now I'm back[]

Special Request for Maintenance Help[]

Porter has pointed out that Category:Nominated for deletion has a backlog of about 2,000 image files. Please give this category some attention. I am asking you and about 20 other editors who have shown a willingness to contribute regularly to The Vault to aim for reviewing and taking appropriate action on 100 of the images marked for deletion. If we all do our part, things will be manageable again by the end of the holidays. Thanks for your help!

  • If an image has been superceded by a better image, delete it.
  • If an image is unused or unlinked to by any page, delete it unless it is unique and worth having. Perhaps we will use it sometime. If you can think of a use, please add it to that page.
  • If an image should not be deleted, remove the delete tag.

I forgot to log in before I deleted the information from the article. I didn't think it would be proper to delete information from an article anonymously. So when I noticed my error I hit the "Undo" link. Certainly not trying to drum up achievements. I wouldn't think my edit history would give any reason to believe I would be doing that. Seems a bit harsh to me that somebody makes an honest mistake and they get warned that the next time they do something like that they're getting banned. Regardless, my apologies for the mistake and I'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again. --ZappaFan 12:48, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Possible, I may have just been unlucky. You know what to do, so gadgets (helper) is available, I've tried many things but nothing has helped. Does this (s) extension will be unlocked / activated? Please reply. Regards Alessio Alessio79 20:05, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Playstation EDE Glitch confirmation[]

Hello, I've been using the fallout wikia for a while now. But never really tried improving it. So this is my 1st attempt, i've noticed you were in charge of the bug confirmation team. So i thought it'd be best to tell you. I have run into a glitch with EDE(New Vegas), i sent him home to the Lucky 38 where he completely disappeared. This occurred on a PS3 I was near Caesar's legion before riding the boat from Cotton Cove across river. Boone started fighting with the legion, so i fired him and sent him to the lucky 38 with EDE to avoid getting them killed. Boone made it, but EDE never showed. I've also checked Primm and tried continuing his quest to try to get him back. No Avail, I've checked EDE's Follower page and there was a bug listed as

"xbox360 If you tell ED-E to part ways and return to Primm or the Lucky 38, he may be removed from the game instead."

It's already registered on Xbox, i just wanted to confirm that the same bug happens for the PS3. Thank you for your time.

The House always wins[]

I'm wondering - why are you creating these quest pages? They are under one page. MysteryStranger 19:00, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Overview page.[]

I made teh overivew page, so you might as well take a look at it. Chat became awfully flooded, so I decided upon leaving a section tag, as I had to quit editing, feel free to fill that in. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 15:21, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

My bad[]

Sorry, I was only looking at the section about the formal attire, I didn't see the stuff that was added below. I will make sure to pay attention in the future. AFollower 00:41, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Andrey.[]

If you think that would be for the best. Wasn't sure if his edits were personal bias or vandalism. Skål! 19:03, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

If you get a chance would you mind looking into his block? I'm not entirely sure his edits can be considered as purposefully harmful. Thank you for your time. Skål! 19:51, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Nuka-Cola Quantum[]

Sorry for the late reply, but I wanted to check things for myself, if it really existed in Lonesome Road and on that location. It's true, 10% chance in that crate. But anyway, it has the same formid from Fallout 3. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:50, September 26, 2011 (UTC)

Fancy Lad Snack.[]

Speculation. Even if it has a similar (Or identical) slogan, it is still speculation. Skål! 02:39, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

I understand. See you around The Vault. ;) Skål! 02:48, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Chat[]

Yeah, chat's been down for at least 8 hours now, it's typical wikia dumbfuckery to be honest, and I'm getting really annoyed. Hugs MadeMan2 "Say 'ello to my little friend!"

Navarro Main Base[]

You can show me that article? --Maiar 19:14, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Edit: Are you joking? All sections from all locations from F1/F2 needs own article. --Maiar 19:27, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Bugs[]

If you have an issue with me, do not make threats in the edit line and please take the time to review why the bug was removed. Also, have I ever removed a bug that was valid? Enough said.--Kingclyde 01:32, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you[]
