VT Advanced Power Armor[edit source]

The Vault-Tec Advanced Power Armor does exist in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. It's a hidden, hard to get armor. Ausir(talk) 07:10, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Ha ok, I thought it does not exist. When I find my in my save if I arrive, I will put the data. Itachou 20:16, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

From GameFAQs:

"<<SECRET ARMOR>>
You want advanced power armor? It's right in this room. There's two sets of crates you can crawl under on the south side of this place and underneath them is a full set of Advanced Power Armor. It doesn't look any different, but an armor bonus is an armor bonus."

Ausir(talk) 13:27, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Midsouth Brotherhood[edit source]

Is it actually a separate faction? I thought that, given that Rhombus is their leader, they were supposed to be under the command of Brotherhood proper, not another splinter faction. If they are, I think Texas Brotherhood of Steel would be a better name, since they're only shown operating in Texas both in FOBOS and in the canceled FOBOS2. Ausir(talk) 13:26, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

The Elders wasn't agree with the decision of Rhombus, I imagine that it's consion decision but not considered more by the original Brotherhood of Steel, like Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel. Changing icons is a way to make their own decision. Sorry for the quality of the icons, images for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel are quite rare, I find it better if I replace it. Itachou 13:43, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Categories[edit source]

Please add the appropriate categories to articles you create. E.g. I just added [[Category:Unarmed]] and [[Category:Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel weapons]] to Burning Gloves. Ausir(talk) 13:34, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Note, sorry for the inconvenience dear friends =). Itachou 13:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

FOBOS date[edit source]

Just curious, is the year Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel takes place ever stated in the game? Or years relative to any previous events given? Ausir(talk) 00:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

There isn't confirmed date for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel but I think it took effect in 2208 as marked in the Timeline, give that being the date from which the Vault Dweller from Arroyo to the town of Carbon. Itachou 10:39, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

BOS perks[edit source]

Aren't they actually called "skills" in-game? Ausir(talk) 20:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, they are marking skills in inventory, but it looks much has perks. I think it is a mistake from the developers, they probably are using the therm "skill" to be better understood and not confuse people. For example Sadist or Energy Charge does nothing has skills Fallout style typical of Medicine, Science or Repair. Itachou 21:27, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Still, if they're called "skills", we should call them skills here, even if they work like perks do in the other games. Ausir(talk) 21:28, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Also, please add them to the "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel skills" category. Thanks! Ausir(talk) 21:33, 11 July 2009 (UTC) `

Ok, as you want. I have the impression that you are angry, I just to be useful. Itachou 21:48, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

No, I'm not angry. Thanks for adding the missing articles! I'm just asking you to remember about adding the appropriate categories when making the pages in the future, as it saves others work with categorizing them. :) Ausir(talk) 21:48, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Rate dear friends =), sorry for these small problem Itachou 21:52, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Special weapons[edit source]

I don't think we really need separate pages. A mention on e.g. the Frank Horrigan page is enough. Ausir(talk) 21:37, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I think special creature weapons should go on that creature's page, while any other unused weapons can have separate pages. Ausir(talk) 14:09, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Re: Use some information[edit source]

Sure, as long as you link back to The Vault. Also, maybe you'd like to contribute to the French version of The Vault?

Abbey[edit source]

I reverted your additions to the Abbey article - they all come from the Fallout 2 Restoration Project and were made up by the makers of the mod - they are not based on any original designs for the place aside from the brief description we already have. Ausir(talk) 10:56, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

It's not semi-official, it's entirely unofficial. Some of its content is based on what we know of unimplemented material from the devs, while other stuff was simply made up, inspired by the brief descriptions we got in the Fallout Bible, like the Abbey. Any such stuff should go to the Fallout Modding Wiki, not here. Ausir(talk) 11:10, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it can and should be considered unofficial, because it was made up by the modders, not by anyone officially associated with Fallout. The only official info about the Abbey is what we already have in the article now. Ausir(talk) 12:01, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
This is not an actual map of cut content. It's a fan recreation of what this cut content might have looked like. Ausir(talk) 13:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Zip Gun[edit source]

Regarding the template, my bad, no idea how that happened. As for the image, infobox pictures should show what the item in question looks like and the pink square thing doesn't really do that (even if it's the ingame icon). -- Porter21 (talk) 19:37, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Power Armor[edit source]

Armor stats in different games (between FO1/2, FOT and FO3) aren't exactly comparable. Ausir(talk) 16:55, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Not really. The APA Mk2 in FO3 is still superior lore-wise but inferior stat-wise. They screwed up the stats so they can't really be compared across games. Ausir(talk) 18:11, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Vault 74[edit source]

Well, even if it's not really canon, it was still made by Bethesda (yes, as a tutorial, but still). The reference states that it's likely non-canon. Ausir(talk) 11:37, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Icons Vault Boy Fallout 3[edit source]

I take the original .dds files from the FO3 assets and apply an "outer glow" filter with certain settings. I don't recall the settings off the top of my head but I can look them up if you want to. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:28, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

The settings for the outer glow I used were (if I recall correctly):
  • color: black (#000000)
  • opacity: 100%
  • noise: 0%
  • spread: 20%
  • size: 5
  • range: 50%
  • jitter: 0%
-- Porter21 (talk) 20:00, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Perk images for cut Point Lookout perks[edit source]

Those perks do not really have own images. Adamantium Skeleton is the first image in the list and it's automatically assigned to every perk in the GECK when an entry is created. Aside from that, no perk in FO3 ever reuses the image of another one :) -- Porter21 (talk) 12:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Is brotherhood of steel a good game?--No drain tuna my ass 18:26, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

I'm gonna buy it, it's not exactly expensive :D hope it's good, my F01 and F02 haven't arrived yet so don't know what there like. Cant wait.--No drain tuna my ass 20:38, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

Ya know, it would be so much easier if you previewed the page before saving. Spoon 21:48, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

Tire armor[edit source]

It's not a "Khan type armor" but "Khan tire armor", and it's already at File:Tirearmor.jpg. Ausir(talk) 12:51, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

English translation for Vindicator Minigun picture[edit source]

You wouldn't happen to have an English translation for the French (?) in the Vindicator Minigun picture, would you? Nitty 14:40, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Alright, thanks! Nitty 14:47, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

I wish I could speak French...

SIG Sauer‎‎ Page[edit source]

I'm not an administrator, but gimme a minute,i might be able to get this working. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 22:25, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Seems wikia moving doesnt work so well these days.ANyway,i slapped a proper deletion tag on it.

For future reference please use {{Delete|Your Reason}} to mark a page for deletion.

I'm pretty sure this will fix itself by tomorrow at maximum. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 22:32, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

It takes a while to learn wikia functions, doing it on a larger wikia (Like this one) might result in the buureaucrats thinking it's vandalism if you do it wrong and ban it,whereas on a smaller wikia (Liekt eh fallout eleventy wikia) it's easier just to ask,as theres lss chance of a misunderstanding, unles the wikia is run by idiots. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 22:37, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

If i may ask,if Fallout Tactics any good|? HOLD! RELEASETIME! 22:47, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

TAccies and BOSies[edit source]

Rented both Bos and Tactics last night, quite good,BOS is a decent distraction to pass the time and playing as the vault dweller just hits me in the nuts with nostalgia.Tactics is fun,bit o' inventory editing and i found out why the MEC minigun is brilliant. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 13:51, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

It was already on the disc i got,i got lucky. Also,i'm only a level 2,so whast the best armor i can find easily? HOLD! RELEASETIME! 18:46, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

I'll see about uploading..Also,the irony strikes again, guess what i was killed by last night?A P220 Sig Sauer. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 16:12, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah,i figured that out when i saw my half destryed body falling to the ground.I'm not far into it,i'm having much more fun testing out the Real-Time combat,it seems more fluid and entertaining. Its feels more satisying when you see raiders constantly running from your presence and it forces you to get tactical. In BOS i'm in the vault-thingy-bobber.

P.S,it gets more entertaing when you realise a Pistol wont save you from a bunch of raiders (Fuck you Fallout 3 with your OTT Combat, since when was it Fallout-ish to be able to kill Enclave troops with a fucking 10mm pistol),moments before something suprises you and you are treated to a view of your character falling to the ground and the "You have died" bullshit playing.Ah the memories.ALso,if you have the time, could ya help out with one of the Three Eleventy wikia.Nitty and Spoon recently vandalized the Fallout Eleventy wikia but i fixed it.And= the other two (Elder Scrolls and Left 4 Dead) are still up 'n' coming. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 16:31, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah,secret vault.

Also,i noticed something earlier,a tthe inventory bar (Which displays what weapon you have etc.) i noticed there was another slot there. Can i switch weapon hands with this or is their to allow dual-wielding?

Oh and yeah, they did vandlaize it,they thought it was dead (Blatant paranoia,or child rage).Luckily,i still have faith in it.The wikia is Here, this is the official fallout eleventy. There are two other eleventy wikais, but the links to them are on the FO:11ty wikia main page. Also,i dunno why you think they're good guys,in reality they are total dickheads.I know that seems vulgar, but there isnt another decent word to use.

Aslo,off-topic question.Have you ever played Splinter Cell? HOLD! RELEASETIME! 18:21, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Don't do it Itachou... Don't doooooo iiiiiiiittttttt... Nitty 23:24, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

You're french,correct?

Ignorer Nitty et à la cuillère, ils sont Idiocracy est increasing.Anyway pouvez-vous help me?I'm kinda stuck trying to get Riddick and his encounter, any advice? HOLD! RELEASETIME! 21:46, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Wolf destroyed the story with his additions, so Spoon and I destroyed the wiki. Nitty 22:42, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Goodnight Itachou, and good luck! Nitty 22:52, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Ignore Nitty and Spoon, the children have been making Sockies to vandalize the wikia, ignore them all,i have a plan.Anyway,i finished BOS last night, then finished it again in the span of 1 hour 30 mins wqith the Vault Dweller,it's quite fun.I found a suit of Combat Armor and a Diamond Spear in a RE.I've got into the habit of sniping people with the M72 Gauss Rifle. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 15:42, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

Ok,hit a bit of a brick wall here,i'm in Osceolla, but something keeps royally owning me from afar, any advice?I'm level 10 BTW. HOLD! RELEASETIME! 19:32, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

I didn't destroy the story,i merely built up my storyline and then stop giving two shits about the story.

Anyway, yes,FOT diamond Spear.I also managed to find out what the problem was,a Raider glitched into the mission with an M72 Gauss Rifle.I managed to get to cover then gut him alive with a grenade.I've also finished the mission, and i am practising my Pistol Skills by modifying Test Maps to contain enemies to fight against,it's quite fun to see a Beastlord get owned by a Super mutant with a SAW.Speaking of which, the M249 SAW has become part of my inventory, like thee Sig Sauer.I scored an amazing One SHot kill on gammorin(I think) using a half empty Gauss Rifle,Eye shots are quite fun. Also,i tried testing that "Dual-WIeld Theory",turns out it's just something you can use to switch between items, like if i wanted to swap between my Sig Sauer and a Stimpak i'd place the SS and Stimpak in those slots etc.

Little question =p[edit source]

The summary field is the right one. The reason why your edit summaries didn't show is that they're omitted in Recent Changes if there have been multiple edits to the same page in the range of pages RC displays (i.e. if there's a "(x changes)" displayed next to the article name). They are shown if you expand the grouped changes by clicking on the blue arrow to the left (and in the page history, of course). -- Porter21 (talk) 10:54, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Of course I don't mind. Thanks for completing the ammo overview pages, I simply didn't have the time to fill out more than the bare-bones stuff :) -- Porter21 (talk) 11:13, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Policies and guidelines[edit source]

Please check the policies and guidelines I've written up and see whether anything is unclear, otherwise needs changing or needs to be added. It would be nice to give some feedback on the project talk page even if you have nothing to criticize.

If possible, I'd like to put these into effect by the end of the week. The project has been dragging on for so long with little input that I'm simply tired of it. -- Porter21 (talk) 16:15, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback, I've moved it from my talk page to the Policy and guidelines project talk page and replied there. -- Porter21 (talk) 17:41, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Tactics![edit source]

I finally finished it last-night,i shall be dooing it all over again quite soon. But,if i may ask, where can i go early on to get decent weapons/apparel? The Daddy http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout11ty/images/5/51/Banhammer.gif 14:14, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

I think i'll just hang around the danger zones,if i'm lucky i can stealth-fuck them and get something decent out of it. The Daddy http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout11ty/images/5/51/Banhammer.gif 14:33, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Danger Zones are area's where Random Encounter's are more frequent, these DZ's have been present in fallout 1 (Near Mariposa, increased chance of mutie encounter) and fallout 2 (Near Navaroo, increased chance of Enclave encounter),a great way to earn loot if you know how to survive. The Daddy http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout11ty/images/5/51/Banhammer.gif 14:45, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

FOBOS armor mixup[edit source]

Since you're probably the only regular to have played FOBOS, can you resolve the mixup with FOBOS armor? Some users have said that the image at Vault-Tec Power Armor is actually the game's version of Tesla Armor and that the Power Armor looks different there. However, I've seen the picture of Tesla Armor on the old official site and in the official Prima guide to FOBOS and it looked different. Furthermore, the "For" template at the top of Tesla Armor links to Vault-Tec Power Armor as that game's equivalent. Can you tell me what is correct and what is not here? Ausir(talk) 14:43, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Air[edit source]

I don't think we need an article on Air. What I've gathered from your FOBOS articles is that the gun simply doesn't need ammo in practical terms, does it? I understand why you made the article but I'd simply list the ammo for that gun as n/a.

The reason why I'd do that is that ammunition refers to something you have to actively obtain, i.e. an item which you have to find, pick up and use. That doesn't really apply to air in my opinion; it's not an item :) -- Porter21 (talk) 20:58, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Well, Sunlight should be removed then as well in my opinion. For the other examples you listed, the Scoped Gauss Rifle has only the actual ingame ammo listed and the "lore" addition is mentioned in the article. It should be the same for Solar Scorcher or Vault Dweller BB Gun - only ingame ammo linked in the infobox, and the lore explanation for why it doesn't use ammo (in item terms) in the article itself. Otherwise the articles give the false impression that Air or Sunlight is something you have to actively obtain to be able to use the gun. That's my opinion anyway :) -- Porter21 (talk) 11:56, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
I've added a section to the main Ammunition article, seems the most appropriate place to me. -- Porter21 (talk) 15:30, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
If you look at other Fallout sites or even The Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide, none of them will list Sunlight as ammo - and for good reason. Systematically, it's not different from Air in that it is not an actual item. It's misleading to list it as ammunition.
For example, let's say in a future game they introduce a solar-powered power fist. It only works outside. Would you list sunlight as an ammunition for that weapon? I wouldn't, it's just something specific about the weapon. -- Porter21 (talk) 17:01, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
Not sure what you mean with template - are you referring to the overview pages (like Fallout ammunition)? In any case, ammunition type is more specific than ammunition and usually refers to a subcategory (e.g. "9mm" is the type of all 9mm variants). I'd just leave it as is, it's less confusing that way. -- Porter21 (talk) 17:42, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

FOBOS templates[edit source]

If you need new infobox templates for FOBOS or existing ones modified, feel free to let me know :) You just need to supply me with the values or parameters they should have - the main reason that there are no infoboxes which cover FOBOS in a lot of cases simply is that I (or others) do not know which kind of values they would need to have. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:19, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, all of these values can be suppressed by setting them to "empty" (without the quotation marks) :) -- Porter21 (talk) 20:04, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Mail Box and image bug[edit source]

Good catch, we should keep the page with the ingame name. Unfortunately I can't tell you which one that is at the moment, I don't have access to the computer where I could look it up.

Regarding the images, no idea what's happening there. You could try uploading the file under a new name and see whether that fixes it. Otherwise it's likely a problem on wikia's end and we'll have to wait until they fix it. -- Porter21 (talk) 17:33, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

With the updating images, it takes a few DAYS sometimes. Spoon Leave me a freakin' message 17:42, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Meat Cannon[edit source]

The Meat Cannon (I just deleted the page for the 2nd time) page is often a target for vandalism, so, I was wondering if you could maybe make the page with the stats in FOBOS? :) Nitty 19:04, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you! Also, you said on the page that there are 2 secret weapons, besides the Meat Cannon. I know one is the Slugger, what is the other?

Did he tell you that he has been forcibly removed from the project? Or that the mod is too big for the GECK to handle? Nitty 20:01, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Also, there was a FOBOS page earlier called 'INSTAKILL Pistol'. It looked like vandalism, but so did Meat Cannon. You could get it by bringing all of Harold's body parts to the ice cream truck where the Meat Cannon was. Is it real? Nitty 13:47, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
Alright, thanks! The vandalism was a really good fake. Nitty 14:04, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Secret Weapons[edit source]

Itachou, made a page of the secret weapons in FO:BOS, but I wasn't quite sure about the third one... I was pretty sure it was the Shredder, but with no page to help me, I didn't have any info... Could you fix the Shredder page and the Secret Weapons page if I was wrong about the shredder being the third secret weapon. Thanks--GigityMaster (Talk) 16:57, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Unused files[edit source]

There are probably more than 1,000 unused files - the automatically generated report simply cuts off at 1,000, even if there are more. A little clean up certainly doesn't hurt although I'm not sure whether all unused files should be deleted. I guess we should keep those which are interesting in themselves (even if there's no article where they're used) as well as those which might be used in future or current articles and only delete images which are duplicated/which we have better versions of or ones which aren't Fallout-related. Just my opinion :) -- Porter21 (talk) 15:50, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Urm... why'd you do that? Nitty 21:40, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

I guess I shouldn't have deleted his blog, it's technically his own page, but I think he deserved the block. He's not the nice guy he's trying to make you think he is. You could ask Ausir or MikaelGrizzly, Werewolf is a rude guy. His blog comments in the news blogs usually result in people fighting, and getting blocked.

I won't ban him again (unless I need to!), but I'm telling you, he's lying.

No hard feelings to you either. :) Nitty 21:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Vault 87 Peoples[edit source]

There was a page with all their names. I'm just fillin' them in.

Oops, sorry. Forgot to sign.Bllasae 21:28, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
I could do that, but I'd need a page name. I can change them all to redirect to a specific page name, but, as I said before, I'd have trouble coming up with one, such as "People of Vault 87" or "Deaths of Vault 87" or something.Bllasae 21:33, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Anyways, I also don't want to remove the code from every person from the page where I created those "Bios" for the other people. Can I not just create a new page with "Vault 87 Deaths" and then redirect all the pages over there? Bllasae 21:47, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
Or maybe I could just leave it as it is? Bllasae 21:53, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

I think it's OK to create these pages for mentioned-only characters. They are not terribly useful, but there's no harm in them either, especially given that at least some of them can be expanded based on the terminal entries. However, they should be created through The Vault:Create Fallout 3 article in the future. Ausir(talk) 22:08, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Instead of deleting them, please copypaste the current content of the Xenia Read article in each of the other articles. Ausir(talk) 22:14, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Vault 87 page[edit source]

Yeah, I said there was a page at some point. I'm glad you changed your POV.Bllasae 12:02, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for the comment, the broken links were an oversight. I just wanted tu unify the weapons lists for FO1 and 2, since they are very similar after all. Therefore I copied a lot of data from the FO2 weapons list to make the list for FO1 look the same. Guess the links in FO2 weapons list are broken as well then. --95.90.189.71 13:03, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Vault Dweller Info Box Change[edit source]

Hi! I am curious as to why, among your recent changes to the Vault Dweller page, you changed the infobox entry from "Pagename" to "Vault Dweller"? It was my understanding from here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Vault:Fallout_3_NPC_overhaul_project#Infobox, that "Pagename" is correct in the infobox. Please correct me if I'm wrong.--Gothemasticator 20:02, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Doesn't matter, really, PAGENAME is just easier for copypasting or creating the article through templates. Ausir(talk) 20:07, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying this for me. You learn something new every day!--Gothemasticator 21:17, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Nuka Cola Fridge[edit source]

It's a Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, the fridge is a different object, found in the Tin Woodsman special encounter in Fallout 2. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/thumb/4/4a/Naglowaa_se.gif/11px-Naglowaa_se.gif Tagaziel (call!) 22:51, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

FOBOS laser pistols[edit source]

From what I've seen elsewhere, the image previously used at Home-Made Laser Pistol was actually that of just "Laser Pistol". I made a separate article for the latter, but please look into which information refers to which. Ausir(talk) 14:22, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Weird, given that the official FOBOS guide lists the Home-Made Laser Pistol and the Laser Pistol with the images I posted. Maybe it was something they changed during development. Anyway, I'm against changing it to Ray, given that they are called Laser in the final version. Ausir(talk) 14:34, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
So does GameBanshee: [1] [2] and they're usually correct. Ausir(talk) 14:37, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
Still weird, considering that all other guides I found show them like at GameBanshee. Ausir(talk) 14:43, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
I added a note to the Home-Made Laser Pistol article: "In the Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Official Strategy Guide, a different image is shown for this Home-Made Laser Rifle, while this weapon's image is used for the generic "Laser Pistol", cut from the final version of the game." Ausir(talk) 14:50, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
Not saying that I don't trust you, just thought that you maybe made a mistake, like with the Vault-Tec Tesla Armor/Power Armor images originally. But yeah, I do believe you. :) Ausir(talk) 14:54, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
I'm not insisting on anything, I do believe you. Just wanted to make sure if it's not a small mistake first. Ausir(talk) 15:15, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

As I said, we should use the in-game name, even if it doesn't make much sense. Although you're free to note that these weapons don't behave like lasers in the Notes section. Ausir(talk) 11:22, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, it won't be any different from Fallout 3. Under the new guidelines, the FO3 combat shotgun will be e.g. called Combat Shotgun (Fallout 3). Ausir(talk) 12:16, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
The in-universe names will still be used on the main overview pages, like the one Porter made for Laser Pistol. But the page titles for game-specific pages will use in-game names. Ausir(talk) 20:35, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
I already converted the Laser Pistol pages to the new format. See: Laser Pistol. Ausir(talk) 22:30, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Technically speaking, every laser is a ray. It might be a shorter ray than the FO3 version, but it's still a ray. Ausir(talk) 20:54, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

FOT symbol[edit source]

You are wrong. The symbol of the MW Brotherhood is the blue coat of arms, not gold.

Blue. Blue. Blue. Blue. Blue. Blue.

The fact that the BLUE symbol on the cover of the book changes into gold in the ending cinematic is meaningless, as it's blue EVERYWHERE ELSE. Even in-game, look at the decal on the pauldron of the Power Armour or Environmental Armour. Or the standards in Epsilon Bunker. Or pretty much anything else where the emblem is displayed. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/thumb/4/4a/Naglowaa_se.gif/11px-Naglowaa_se.gif Tagaziel (call!) 21:01, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Uh, no, the golden symbol is meaningless. It's just a way to say to the player "good job, your work is golden". Sorry if I sound rude, but the fact is, the blue version is used everywhere else. A single instance in an ending cinematic (and one which is totally out of universe) is not enough to justify the claim that it's THE emblem. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/thumb/4/4a/Naglowaa_se.gif/11px-Naglowaa_se.gif Tagaziel (call!) 22:18, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Fallout Tactics Cut Content[edit source]

Hey there, Itachou. I noticed you made some changes to the Fallout Tactics weapons and just wanted to tell you that the Gas Trap and Wasp Sting are in both the single player campaign and available for purchase in the multiplayer mode, and the Smoke Grenade was available for purchase in just the multiplayer mode. Just wanted to give you a heads up that those first two aren't technically cut content. Mr. Sully (T·C) 07:46, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick reply, Itachou! I know the Wasp Sting is found on Beastlords (The mission in Mardin has a few), but now that you mention it, I dont think I ever tried to equip it, so it might be bugged. I'll check on this next time I can play. Either way, it isn't really "Cut Content". The Gas Trap I am 100% certain is in the vanilla, non-patched version of the single player campaign, even though I don't have an exact location. My guess would be it was salvaged off of a trapped container of some kind and is found before the missions with the Mutants (either in the Raider or Beastlord areas). If you can get a copy of the game, I'd gladly send you my save files so you can check it out for yourself. As for the smoke grenade, you could purchase this with points at the start of the GameSpy Arcade multi-player matches. To the best of my knowledge, there weren't any in-game traders for multi-player and everything was purchased at the start of the battles. Thanks a lot and I hope I was helpful in some way! Mr. Sully (T·C) 11:47, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
Heya, Itachou. You were correct about the Wasp Sting. It's possible to equip it but impossible to attack with it. I imagine this is similar to the Gold Nugget in Fallout 2, possibly an issue with the weapon range, but since I don't have the modding tools for the game that is just speculation. Also, if you are still interested in one of my saved games to check out the Gas Trap, feel free to send me your email address. Merci pour ton aide généreuse. Hi Itachou! I found all the things you asked for, except for the Hyper Helmet. I'll post them below.

Manowar can mean many things, but two things are: A huge, extremely dangerous Jellyfish, and the second is: A warship from the 16th-19th centuries. You can see the different meanings here.
I'm glad you could use the images. Good luck in getting this book! You could look at eBay and other auction sites, you might find it.
Also, I already am an administrator:P See here.

Reptilian deathclaw[edit source]

What's the source for the information at reptilian deathclaw? Anyway, I think it should just be merged with deathclaw. It's just an image from a canceled project that was extremely inconsistent with the Fallout setting, and the image itself was just an artist's interpretation of a deathclaw that has retained more chameleon traits (since deathclaws are derived from chameleons) than a regular one. Ausir(talk) 18:35, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Any links to the bestiary? Anyway, since it actually wasn't released as a Fallout product, but as Exodus, much of the text might not even be what would have been in the actual Fallout d20 guide. So I wouldn't include this info here, especially not as separate articles. Ausir(talk) 18:46, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
I'm going to remove the information, since it's not even from a Fallout product but from Exodus after it was renamed, so it's not even non-canon Fallout info, but non-Fallout info altogether, which I don't think we should follow at all. The only Fallout d20 stuff that should be included is in my opinion stuff that was actually released as samples of Fallout d20 before they lost the license and the game was renamed. Ausir(talk) 18:57, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

FOT items hi-res images[edit source]

I've changed Template:Infobox armor FOT (added "Extra" section) and added hi-res image to Midwestern Brotherhood Power Armor article. Could you look at it an say if it's ok or I should move the image to gallery. Veryblackraven 07:26, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! :) I'll add armor images since I have extracted them already. I think we can split the job. For example, I'll take handguns and you'll take SMG. Good day to you and thanks again. Veryblackraven 11:44, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Some minor problems[edit source]

Thank you fo the reply. I know and understand that your busy with your job, and this may sound dumb, but I'm new to the wiki so I don't know what the code is and if I did, I don't know how to insert it into the user page.

Traits need some info...[edit source]

I need to know what the exact penalties are for the Beta Software and EMP Shielding traits. Nobody else knows (I asked Ausir and KristofferAG, I guess that's everybody.) what they do exactly.

Beta Software mentions "unexpected system glitches", no clue what those are.

And EMP Shielding says "a penalty to Agility" which I believe is -1.

So, if you could boot up your favourite robot in Tactics and test the traits, that'd be great. :D Nitty Tok. 04:40, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Small bullets[edit source]

Where does it say that the small bullets are 9mm? Just because the Beretta uses 9mm doesn't mean that the assault or hunting rifles use 9mm. (7.62mm is nearly impossible to control on full-auto, 9mm would be a nightmare.) Nitty Tok. 14:01, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

There's no assault rifle that uses 9mm in a fully-automatic way. In addition, Desert Eagles come chambered in .50 caliber, which is consistant with the two machine guns. I don't think that we should definitively say that the rifles are 9mm. Nitty Tok. 14:08, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
There's nothing that says the Beretta is 9mm either. Like you said, it's not the real world. :P Nitty Tok. 14:13, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Article naming[edit source]

Item article names should now always be under in-game name, disambiguated by the game title. Thus Mega Power Fist (Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel), not Mega Electric Power Fist, etc. Ausir(talk) 14:05, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, lots of pages do not conform to this guideline yet, but we're working on it. Ausir(talk) 14:11, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
