Custom Images[edit source]

Hello again!

I will be sure to send over more of my work, do you have any images in particular? OctaviusoftheNorth 18:19, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Strange[edit source]

That I ahve to agree to in some respects, he does share likeness of those two in the way he argues and such. Wouldn't that be grand, first Tezzla returnin' multiple times, then Flowers? Seems alot of old ghost were to be poppin' up at the same time XD. Anwyay, it might as well not be him, as many people has the same argumentative style. If it is him, well, you can always hope it'll be fun XD. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 19:48, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

I am 90% sure it is him, not just the argument style, but certain aspects of the argument, phrases and such, are all the same. Also, some of the counter arguments he used, he also used against me in other discussions. Plus the in-depth knowledge of admin policy (even its location, which isn't directly linked) for such a new user. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar
Yeah, that's the same way I recognised Trolly in Ghosttro1, the phrases and way of writing. It's quite telling. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 19:59, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
I think I've found some evidence, except the written language and quoting of rules. In the debate, Lugiatm steps in and tells "himself" that he is wrong, just out of nowhere, when I haven't seen Lugiatm for months. So, my theory is that he wrote that to indicate that it is not himself, as berating oneself is quite dumb in most cases. He probably thought that was a smart move as well, but it's quite telling, as it is fairly obvious it has some meaning when it comes from nowhere like that, I've seen the same with Trolly, and I've seen it other times as well. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 20:08, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

It's perfect Itachou, really an improvement to the page ;). If you ever need a favour from me (whatever that might be, not like I'm especially good at anything =P), just ask, and I'll be happy to help! Hugs, hugs and hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 21:51, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Pip-Boy 3000A[edit source]

It's referred to such in Fallout 3 by the 10-year-old version of Wally Mack (I think). I don't know that this is significant enough to warrant inclusion in the article, so I haven't made any changes to the article. I'll let you decide if you want to revert your edit. --Kris User Hola.jpg 00:19, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

I tend to agree. Either the ones in FNV are 3000A models, for which there's no basis to tell either way, or the 3000A model is indistinguishable from other 3000 models. In either case, I think the header should read 3000 not 3000A. --Kris User Hola.jpg 00:30, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Vault Boy icons[edit source]

Yes, I already thought what is happening here. Old name was fine by me also, guess the new one is a bit better. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy.png 00:26, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Vault 13[edit source]

I removed "Doctor" because none of the other vault pages include this in their infoboxes. Only the leaders are included. Doctor is specified under inhabitants. Also, I'm trying to eliminate redundant information, and a lot of the info here read more like a quest guide than a vault description. I tried to leave a little information, but I felt that this was way too detailed for this particular page. Information that you feel is relevant to the vault's history and inhabitants can easily be linked instead of having every single page of the wiki cluttered with the same repetitive information. Also the English on this page was very fractured and I worked very hard to understand what was written and to rewrite it in clear English. I stand by my edit. -LawdyMissMaudy 03:14, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Dear Itachou, I apologize if the above sounded abrupt and rude. I am just trying to explain my reasons. You have always been very polite to me and I hope to maintain a civil relationship. -LawdyMissMaudy 04:25, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Regarding the Vault and Vault-Tec pages, I never deleted the information from the Vault page, and I did ask in the forums about where the information should go, and when Ausir responded, I replaced the information on the Vault-Tec page. I still think that the Vault 13 page needs serious editing, but if all my hard work is going to continue to be reverted, I guess I give up. -LawdyMissMaudy 22:27, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, I am taking a look at those pages. I also find that I was mistaken in removing "doctor" from the infobox, as that is a legitimate category, along with "merchants". Sorry.

As for the sentence that you mention, as I said on the Talk page, I found the reference and put the information back in. The information made sense, but the sentence was so confusing that I could not understand the point of it well enough to rewrite it. It is a run-on sentence, and it implies that the vault itself covers 3200000 tons of soil at 200 feet. The vault does not cover the soil; the soil covers the vault.

This is how I rewrote it: "Construction of Vault 13 started in August 2063. It was the last vault to be completed on the West Coast, in March 2069. It was 200 feet beneath the earth's surface, and covered with 3,200,000 tons of soil." As you can see, I left nothing out.

As far as all the details, well, I had understood that The Vault was trying to eliminate redundancy by not writing every single bit of information on every single page. It's in the editing guidelines, after all. Honestly that page just gives too much information. I guess that you are right that I need to observe and ask more, but frankly it's frustrating when the guidelines say one thing and then admins say another. -LawdyMissMaudy 23:45, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Finished custom images[edit source]

I finished 2 pictures, still working on third. Hope you like them! MissFortuneColored.png IconJoshuaGrahamArmorColored2.png OctaviusoftheNorth 03:57, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Don't these count as fan art? I know they are coloured correctly, but they are not like this in the game. I hope not, because you guys are making really cool images. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
That's great! I love these images (this goes for you too, Augustus(sorry, historical joke)): they make a great addition. Thanks for the detailed explination as always Itachou :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
Good joke or sad joke? ;). That's fine, I know that you wouldn't get aggresive for no reason :). Could you do me a quick favour first, and review the Modoc tannery for me. I always seem to make new pages when I do the character project, but I'm determined to finish it, single-handed by the looks of it :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Thanks Itachou :). Have fun! TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Allright, I made a mistake. The image was on the original page, but after the move, it doesn't belong anymore. You know anywhere the image might have a fitting place? JspoelJspoel Vault Boy.png 17:07, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Final Image[edit source]

I finished the last image you asked for. I'm looking forward to your critique. OctaviusoftheNorth 20:26, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

GTO[edit source]

My marathon was just cut short by a message saying that I'd watched too much today... Anything I can help with for the last 15 minutes before I read a little then go to bed? I don't want to patrol particularly as vandals will wind me up this late and I don't really want to do the project, because then I end up playing the game for ages. That includes pictures by the way, because I have some image stuff now, but transparency is still an issue. Just let me know, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.

I was having great fun actually ;). No, I was asking if I could do anything? I have new software, but it still can't do transparency, that's all.
Perfect. Just the kind of thing I wanted; I knew you'd have something up your sleeve :). See you soon Itachou. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.

Timeline[edit source]

I'm sorry, I should have caught that. In fact, I didn't add it; I was reformatting the edit made by User:MrGazzo so it looked the rest of the dates. --Kastera (talk) 22:05, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Fallout Tactics[edit source]

I don't feel Fallout Tactics has that many real inconsistencies. My biggest problem is people see "inconsistencies" and jump on the idea that it is against canon. Not true it is simply not explained.

There is no mention of Gas or fossil Fuel anywhere in the game. The vehicles could run on ethanol like the Boomer's Boomer in Fallout New Vegas. Some point to the Gas station in the intro seen. They did not say "lets get gas." They didn't even want to stop. The main focus was on the pamphlet. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas have gas stations all over the damn place. So does that go against Canon? Fallout 2 we have to get fuel for the tanker, again does that go against canon?

There is no mention of the bos being able to make power armour and yet people seem to think they do. If they could would not all the BoS have PA and not just the elite units? Fallout 3 had new styled armour, so why the hate for the armour in Tactics?

Hairy Deathclaws could just be another type of Deathclaw.

Anyways I am glad to know I am not the only one trying to fill in some of the "inconsistencies" insted of just writing it off as none-canon.

As for Vault Zero I feel the Enclave had no intrest in it. I feel they were the ones that were behind the cuts. The people of Vault Zero were to be but in cryostasis. So I doubt they would be apart of evey experiment. Vault Zero is in the state Colorado and Chicago is in the state of illinois. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by StylesV13 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I know the PA the DC BoS have is a pre-war model but where does it say in Fallout Tactics that the Power Armour they have is from after the war?
Also not all the Vaults were apart of the Vault Experiments. I believe it was 17 control Vaults like Vault 8 that were not apart of any experiments.
My theory makes sense because to the American people. The Vaults were to be a place of safety. They believed that they would go into the Vaults and later comeback out and start rebuilding. Again my theory:
The Vaults in Secret were used by the Enclave for their secret social experiments and they were the only ones that knew about the Enclave Oil Rig and the Vault experiments. On paper and as sold to the American people, the Vaults were all meant to save people. People would go in, ride out the nuclear war or other event in safety and come out and start over. They would have never gone along with the Vault experiments, they did not know about them because they were super secret Enclave plan.
Vault Zero was built because the Vaults would need a place to connect all the vaults to orchestrate the rebuilding. The American people had to see that their money was going to good use and that the Vaults would work together. Vault Zero was the public face for the Vaults. The grand show piece.
Enclave could not stop it from being built because logically the Vaults would need a nucleus, a place or orchestrate the Vaults. Other none Enclave people in the Government commissioned Vault Zero. The Enclave did not see a need for it. So they were the ones behind the many budget cutbacks which was the reason many of the Vaults backup systems were never installed. Which caused Vault Zero to fail and kill many of the none Enlave members of Government housed there. Money that was meant for Vault Zero was then embezzled by the Enclave and spent on their top secret Enclave plans, like the Enclave Oil Rig
The Enclave were not in charge of building the Vaults IMO. They simply usurped the Vaults for their own plans. Vault Zero being the head of a Vault program they had no intrest for, they simply crippled it with budget cutbacks and funnelled the money meant for Vault Zero into other secret Enclave programs. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by StylesV13 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Whatever the story is for Vault Zero, we can both agree that Vault Zero is canon and hope that one day it is explained right?

Just because it does not show up in a pre-war add does not mean it is from after the war.

It is interesting to entertain the idea that the MWBoS do have some ability to make Power Armour but in limited numbers.

As you mentioned the Enclave armour in Fallout 3 somewhat looks like the MWBoS armour.

It would be interesing if the Enclave remnants from Navarro on their way to DC came across the MWBoS and made some kind of deal with them. The two sides traded tech. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by StylesV13 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Interesting point about the BoS coming across a pre-war Enclave base with PA prototype. BoS have a limited ability to make it.
But what I was thinking. The Enclave remnants from Fallout 2, Navarro on their way to DC, come across the MWBoS and take their design and use it to make their own. Food for thought.
I still feel that the BoS in Tactics simply came across the power armour, like Lyons did. Maybe it was so new that it was never put into any adds. Or we just have not seen those adds. We did not see the adds for the T-45d till Fallout 3.
Anways, good talking with you. Good night :) —Preceding unsigned comment was added by StylesV13 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Arcadian Rook[edit source]

I just wanted to drop you a message on this matter/ban (after receiving a personal message). Looking at it from a objective stand point, I would have to agree that a ban might have been necessary. However my concern doesn't lay with the ban itself, it lies with the reasons given and that you gave the ban.

The reason I have this concern is because of the recent events in the past few months (with a vote on Tag, Lugiatm whole debate on admins and now Aestune), which is starting to create a divide between contributors and admin (bad enough with the FO3 vs FO1/2 divide), that could potentially cause harm to the Vault. This is something I don't want, nor do I want to give those who seem to be causing this split, more reason to do so. The issue is that the reasons for the ban actually run a bit deeper than what is stated, plus you are personally involved it what dose present itself as a dispute. So I would like to suggest that going forward, if you might take these considerations into mind and involve other admin, such as myself, to administer bans as per the admin policy in such cases. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:01, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Ohhh, don't get me wrong. I would have to agree with you, the ban is required (maybe 3 days is a bit harsh, but that is my personal view). I don't want you take what I said the wrong way. I am not actually questioning your judgement on giving them a ban and I know you don't do it without reason. My concern is that I can see that certain people are getting to you, and I don't want to give them or the trouble makers here ammunition in there cause. I am more concern about protecting you from any backlash in cases like this, where user can argue there is a personal dispute between the 2 persons involved. It is more about protecting your own back so such things. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:53, August 14, 2011 (UTC)
Hey-yo my friend, I have a slight problem here: a user "Arcadian Rook" has approached me about his ban, which was (at least from what I discern from yours and his talkpage) shortened to just one day, and in that case was to be removed yesterday. He contaced me now (through a seperate chat program) about this, stating the ban is still in place. I wonder of this was a simply oversight, or for some specific reason, and in that case, why? Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 14:02, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
That is indeed strange. I've asked him to make edits, and he has tried, to no avail, so something is indeed awry. I think we need help =P. Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 14:16, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
I understand fully, I'll contact another admin to confirm, and a 'Crat to see if they can fix it. Thanks anyway, friend! Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 14:28, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
Well, that's an unexpected but welcome surprise :D! Thanks! Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 15:53, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Sweet sweet transparency[edit source]

Itachou my friend, I've done it! I've finally found something for making images transparent :)! Thought I'd tell you, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.

Well at least now you don't have to do it for me :). Also, it was free. Bon soir mon amie, ;) TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Désolé Itachou ;). I've haven't learnt any French for 4 years, so I apologise. I decided to try this GIMP software that all the 'weapon smiths' have been using, and it adds a black background, but then I can delete it with one of the tools. It's very fast, but the software is very annoying at points. For example, if I use a tool, I can't get the mouse cursor back. What about you? (Take two: ) Bonsoir mon ami, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png ;)
Well you've learnt my language so I will try to learn a little of yours; only fair right? I didn't know that... Can you still do those kinds of things because I was suggesting that they put a suit like the Made Man one in Mutant's rising just earlier... Is that possible. I'm not asking you to do it, I'm just asking so I can see what they would probably say because the site isn't very active... Also, lastly before I go to bed I was wondering if you knew the two prequels to GTO. They just mentioned it and I would love to look them up :). I will be in bed in around ten minutes from now (22:31, August 14, 2011 (UTC)) as I have a job interview tomorrow so I want to get some sleep. Either way ... TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Another image[edit source]

Just made the DNAvenger image and posted it on the page. Feel free to edit it if you don't like it. On a side note I'm still working on the others, but they'll be done eventually. OctaviusoftheNorth 02:46, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

My image[edit source]

I read your chat message yesterday, and I could not message back due to the fact that I am busy. Anyway, I heard you finished my image and I am waiting for you to upload it. Have a nice day and see you soon. --gauzzrifle 12:34, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

RE: The Ban Glitch[edit source]

Woohoo!!! Well, since it's letting me post here, I'd say that it looks like it's been fixed. I appreciate that you lifte the ban early, as well as doing what you can to fix whatever snafu caused the lifting to fail.
It will be interesting to learn exactly what caused your lifted ban to be re-instated, since I was able to make two edits (removing the mention of the ban from my talk page, and then almost immediately undoing that removal) before Wikia decided to pull the rug out from under me, saying, 'Ha Ha! Just Kidding!"

As you recommended, I have, since the ban, began (and almost completed) reading The Vault's policies. -- The Arcadian Rook(talk)User blog: Arcadian Rook|(Needs More Battle Cattle) 16:53, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Hello again , again ,again...[edit source]

I would love to see this .gif that you friend made. And yeah, we could have a language swapping session on the chat, but the only problem is it is always busy. Unless we do it on one of the sister wikis which has chat? At least if your friend has done it that means it is possible. To be honest I found your explination of the prequels better. Do they come as like graphic novels? I know what the difference is between manga and anime by the way, I was wondering so that if they are I can look them up to buy them easier ;). Also, there is no need to apologise as I am always on later so I wouldn't have expected you to be straight back with a reply. Lastly, though, I was reading Arcadian Rooks blog after doing Crazy Sam and Kastera's poll (it came up on the side) and then I was going to leave him a message about it, but on there you said you were leaving. Do you mean leaving the Vault? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Oh, I hadn't realised that. We could do that around 10:05 (9:05 UTC) if you want? Wow, that is very good, could you link me to the mod? Does it just add that armour, or does it do a lot?
I think that it will be worth investing in both of them. I haven't enjoyed a show like this one for a long time :).
This: "So there is a problem somewhere on the wiki that do not depend on me. I instructed Scar to take care of this matter since I'll be leaving soon, by contacting a Wikia Gaming members to solve the problem." Had me a tad worried there Itachou ;).
Okay, so not at 9.05 ;). Drop me a quick message when :). I'll be on for an hour :).
That's fine then. I'm normally on in the evening too, but the best bet for you when you want to is from 8 'till 9 (7 to 8 UTC) because I am generally on then. If you just give me a quick note and I'm not too busy, for example doing a page for the project we can do it then. Sound better? Well that's a shame, the armour in the picture looks great, like a bounty hunter almost. At least that shows it can be done :0. As for GTO, I haven't forgotten the other one you wanted to show me, but this site only allows 72 mins a day... TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
I didn't know that... I may have to look that up too ;). We'll I've been watching as much as I can everyday, and it shan't be long until I've finished them. A quick question, the pictures that people upload to their user page, I am supposed to put category:user page images right? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Well thanks for all the info again Itachou. Hope to speak to you again soon. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Arcadian Rook[edit source]

I definitely think you should notify Wikia otherwise this could lead to other problems and we don't know the full extent of the glitch.

And don't worry, I appreciate your late happy birthday and I forgive you ;P I'll try to remember yours and wish you a happy birthday when the day arrives. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 01:02, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Sometimes you have to check the block log for entries that indicate an IP address was blocked because of a block issued to a registered user, and then remove those entries, otherwise the IP block will still be in effect when the user is unblocked, and thus he still will be blocked due to the IP block. --Kris User Hola.jpg 12:43, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, it comes up automatically based on one of the options used when blocking, when that user logs in again (or, being still logged in, looks at a new page). Look at the block log and look for the recently-unblocked user's name in there; you'll want to remove any of those autoblock IP entries for that specific user (their username will be listed in the reason for the block). I just looked at the block log and I'm not seeing that, now, so this might have changed recently, but before, it would show those entries where an IP was blocked because the user was blocked. --Kris User Hola.jpg 13:56, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Samurai image finished[edit source]

I just finished the samurai and black widow images, the latter already posted in its respective page, but feel free to change it! I feel that the samurai is just not to my satisfaction, so I will most likely redo it, but still let me know what you think. As always, have a good day. Vault related[edit source]

Hi Itachou. Could you check the gallery in Protonic inversal axe when you have the chance, I'm unsure about this 'Bloom' on one of the pictures and if they are really necessary at all. Thanks, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.

That's alright :). I was unsure myself, that's why I asked you. I was just going through the image uploads to categorise them. Thanks Itachou. Hope to talk soon.
Actually, HDR and Bloom are setting for the PC that give different visual effects to the game. I agree it dosnt belong on that page, but it should be included in something like the Gamebryo page or a setting page of sort. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 22:47, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. It isn't actually a bug, its a general setting that can be switched on or off. Maybe this will help explain it a bit better [1], about half way down the page. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:16, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Character's project.[edit source]

You can do that? Wouldn't it be a bit impolite, and you know what we're like with manners and so on? I mean I really want to get it back into shape... Why can you let me be leader? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Yes please Itachou. It needs a leader, and Ghouly is absent as you say so I would like to accept.
Also, thank you for what you have just said. That is very kind of you. I try my best, so it is nice to be appreciated like that :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
Thanks a lot Itachou; I'll get my plans started. First up, only having the active ones on the participants list. You have been so you're welcome to stay. Could I ask that you do (min.) one a week though? Fallout or Fallout 2 of course. Thanks again, Itachou and sorry for the late reply. I went to bed because I forgot... See you around, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
Oops. Well, I'll retract that then. I haven't removed anyone, but thanks for warning me :). Well, I'll 'take back' (metaphorically because I can't remove things from talk pages) that and just ask for activity. Is that better? The last thing I would want to do is get you in trouble TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
Well, that's all right then. Sorry about that, but we need to finish :).I'll finish of the rest asking for activity. I won't ask you though, because you already know ;). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

RE: Blog comments[edit source]

Okay, now this is just ridiculous.

You think I didn't see how you try to start a conflict with me?

I have no interest in starting anything with you, let alone a conflict. I have no idea why you'd think otherwise, or that my comments were somehow directed at you, other than due to some paranoid sense of self importance.

You write on a subject that I defend from the beginning of the blog or answer just about anything of my messages with a provocative way, no arguments and not bringing much about.

It might be a shocking revelation, but your liking of a subject does not make it res sacra buddy.

You have violated the user conduct guideline, so now, if I see one of your off-topic messages and seems provocative for me against anything on this blog, it will be deleted.

YOU have instigated a meaningless argument, YOU were offensive, YOU went off-topic, YOU violated conduct guidelines, and for that matter, YOU are abusing your status as an administrator.

Also personaly now, I expect you to explain me in details what you don't like Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel? I'm interested and your message about your opinion has no explanatory elements.

If you wanted me to elaborate my views on that game all you had to do is ask me to, instead of making offensive remarks and assumptions. To have to lecture someone on common courtesy is bad enough, to to have to do it to an administrator is just sad. So do you want to know why I abhor that game? Okay, fine. Here it goes:

• it completely ignores and actively goes against the philosophical and artistic direction the previous games took

• it's a shallow, oversexed game, with shallow, oversexed characters

• poorly written dialogues and poorly written and poorly paced story

• BAWLS Guarana

• graphics were underwhelming

• gameplay being little apart shooting people and looking for keys in silly places

• bad level layout, often resulting in enemies clumping up, or you having no room to maneuver

• bad controls and camera, specially in comparison to similar games like Busters

If you see provocation then I suggest you look beyond your mirror. I made a comment stating my opinion, and you unwarrantably replied:

Typical of someone who has not played the game and listen what others say without worrying to creates his proper opinion.

1) Assuming I had not played the game, 2) that my opinions were merely parroting of others', and 3) referred to me using the wrong gender. Unlike you I decided to assume good faith (a concept which is expected from every user BTW, but specially from an administrator) and pointed out your presumptions were wrong. Again, you offensively assumed I was lying and to add insult to injury made up stupid little test. As if it weren't enough you then proceeded to ramble about how you still won't believe me anyway or whatever. And now you have the gal to go to my page and try to bully me. LOL! I'm not playing this song again though. If you want to take passing comments in no way directed at you as personal offense it's your prerogative, but you'll be ruffling your feathers alone because I'm through with this. Just don't think you can flash your threats at me and I'll shut up and brown my pants. You're acting like a paranoid brat with a chip on his shoulder, not as an administrator should, and I'm willing to speak out on this.

Let's just be out of eachother's way though, okay?

Toodles~

Limmiegirl 17:15, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

So, what you hoped for saying that instead of creating a flame? Can I have a answer before I ban you for flamebait?

Really? Again with the bullying?

Ho strange, I see you two times just after my post with a provocative way to express yourself:
*"Nonsense, the advent of Justin Bieber obviously rendered Beethoven obsolete!"
*"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgqaQraoxAQ, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBJpmcL2XMA&playnext=1&list=PL22DE72FEB6FD112D I agree with you though lol"
And after those comments, the famous comment above.

Just unbelievable. You made this whole mess due to a couple of freaking FRIENDLY comments which were actually AGREEING with and SUPPORTING you? I literally facepalmed right now.

If you wanted me to elaborate my views on that game all you had to do is ask me to, instead of making offensive remarks and assumptions.

?? That I ask you [2].

Yes, you ask for my opinion in the same sentence in which you tell me to take a test to see if lying. That's definitely conductive to a nice debate right? Like I said, ask me without making offensive assumptions. Hopefully you can understand why telling someone to take a test to see if they are lying about playing a video game is offensive?

*referred to me using the wrong gender
Haha how do I know that you are a girl? Your nickname? Like this false girl banned forever?

Oh, so I have to prove my sex to you to earn the right not to be called a man now? You've being pretty offensive so far but this one takes the cake and the candle with it. Would you like if somebody referred to you as a woman? Well, I don't like being referred to as a man. And even if I weren't really female, the simple fact that I present myself as one would be enough to warrant it no? Again that's not even assumption of good faith, that's common courtesy. You have no reason to refer to me as male other than a desire to offend me. Honestly, I'm deeply disappointed at you both as an administrator and as a person.

*it completely ignores and actively goes against the philosophical and artistic direction the previous games took
Ho? I think you have forgot the fact that Attis want the same dream as the Master of Fallout. Artistic direction of the previous games? So you include also Fallout Tactics right? I think it's better to avoid the artistic direction of Fallout Tactics.

I didn't like Tactics' artstyle either, along with a lot of other things. But in the end I found it did more right than wrong. Though I don't think pointing out FoT's flaws somehow mitigates FOBOS's.

*it's a shallow, oversexed game, with shallow, oversexed characters

Agree but it's Fallout, it's the same in New Reno and the Den but just you have not noticed since it is 2D.

F2's excessive sexual, pop-cultural, and 4th-wall breaking content was heavily criticized by myself, the majority of fans an even devs. FOBOS had the privilege of hindsight and as such should have corrected, not embraced let alone worsened the problems.

*poorly written dialogues and poorly written and poorly paced story
Poorly written dialogues? Have you just take a look of Blake dialogues?

There's a long time since I played and as such I can't really argue specifics. I only remember it struck me as awful at the time.

*BAWLS Guarana
Really disturbing to see something other than Nuka Cola? So I think you also had trouble with the Sunset Sarsaparilla?

SS isn't a real world drink inserted merely to cash in on merchandising is it?

*graphics were underwhelming
Nothing to say, it's your opinion. Me I liked the graphics, and I think it was pretty good since No Mutants Allowed (the biggest site of Fallout and Fallout moddings) wanted to extract them to use them in Fallout and Fallout 2 mods.

They are better than a sprite-based game's made 8 years before, bellow-average comparing contemporaries. But yes, it's just an opinion.

*bad controls and camera, specially in comparison to similar games like Busters
Not agree, the targeting system allows you to quickly get back up and the camera is rather fluid and improved since Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

Agreed to disagree then.

Well we made the turn. In waiting your answer on the famous - "Never having played BoS is definitely an honor. Or at least good fortune lol."

An opinion. An opinion which you don't share, but like I said your liking something doesn't make it res sacra. Slightly off topic, but no more so than 90% of posts there. Including yours, for that matter.

Toodles~ Limmiegirl 21:30, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

I already did, I was just voicing my opinion, like everybody else. You misunderstood the meaning of my previous comments and jumped into the conclusion it was directed at you. As to how you managed to blow it so far out of proportion I'm utterly puzzled. My guess is that you're so convinced FOBOS is a such marvelous game you simply can't fathom somebody else thinking it's a piece of garbage unless they're either parroting the fad or trying to provoke you personally. Which is not only silly but also ghastly self-centered.
Now please stop harassing me, I'm trying to follow Avatar's advice and drop this whole mess altogether because it's just arguing for argument's sake. Continuing to drag this pointlessness around is just making both of us look bad.
Limmiegirl 16:59, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

Just a note[edit source]

Thank you again for helping me out with regards to the ban lifting! I was reading over Cartman's talk page and noticed in the message you sent to Cartman regarding me that you said that you were unsure about the words to use here: "Well it's nice, I was afraid that I will harm you (not sure for this sentence, bit hard for me), again sorry, I will try to remember it for the next year."

I believe the words you were aiming for were "I was afraid that I upset you", or "I was afraid that I offended you". This isn't a criticism, just trying to help you a little bit with the nuances of the language. :-)

If you feel that I've overstepped my bounds and offended you by mentioning it, I apologize for bringing it up; just let me know and it won't happen again :-)

Have a good one!

Hi Itachou, I'm back with another strategy question. Just did a bit of a clean up on the Elijah's advanced LAER Notes section. I left them in for now to confer with you, but many of the entries are basically saying the same thing (50hp = bad). Should I combine them, or are they each giving useful info? Also, are they tips or strategies? Thanks for your time.

All the best, --FourWayDiablo 16:03, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Done and done :-). Good day to you, sir. (Tips hat at Itachou and wanders off). All the best, --FourWayDiablo 16:34, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Help goes both ways[edit source]

I saw that you have been uploading a lot of icons of late, and so I created this template to make your job easier. Type {{iconneeded} with the additional } and you it will work like an image needed one. I will okay this with Porter, but I can't see he will have a problem. Hopefully this will make it easier for you to keep track. Speak soon. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png 21:19, August 18, 2011 (UTC).

DON'T DELETE IT! I know it exists, but I needed a transparent one for the template. Please restore it if it is gone. It looks unprofessional if the is a white box with the image in. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Yes, but this can go into the article that are missing the templates. I see what you are saying, and if that's the case then I made a mistake, but it is still useful for the pages missing their icons don't you think? :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Do you think it should be? I just removed that section for now, but I'll upload a cleaned, line only one. Give me a few mins. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Yes, I did that :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Good, because as you said, it was difficult to make it transparent :). Sorry, I didn't want to keep clogging up your talk page with Grenadier Guards: you have enough for an entire army ;). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Wow, I'm impressed :), the only person... That's quite the accolade ;). You don't seem as enthused as normal. Hope you're okay my friend, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
That's fine then :). Yes, I'm a tad short of time recently. I've been researching large amounts of characters on FO2 and Dude101 and this Ardent guy gave me a job to see if I can right some of the dialogue for MR, so that's difficult too. Sleep is the best cure-all though, not laughter ;). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

1993, why how old are you? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Well, I would have been 3 so I wouldn't have found that yet ;). I thought you'd be older to be honest, but then I suppose on here everyone seems older than they are because most of the users I've come across are fairly intelligent :). What age did you think I was? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Thank you :). I know people who read books, but not ones that are worth reading if you see what I mean ;). Well, I'll speak to you again tomorrow probably. Thanks, it was fun as usaul. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.

No, I'm older than you, rather keep the year in the dark for people to know (wiki administration has understood that and didn't add the year to be filled in). I don't think so.[edit source]

No, you were not part of the flame war that sparked from the edit debate concerning the Assassin Suit's origins, I really don't want to have to rehash this, I really don't need another person ganging up on me, I want to put an end to this as soon as possible and as definitively as possible because your peers have not been willing to develop any new arguments except Ad Hominem-esque brick walls, they won't actually argue, they only contradict or attack me in ways that have nothing to do with the argument. It's only a few more responses before they try to invoke Godwin's Law. I'm pretty sure of the sort of things I'll get from Ghost Avatar when he sees me trying to defend myself and prevent a recursion of the flame war from happening once more.

Desperately trying to keep you from joining in on the gang up against me,

Assassin suit, episode 7549[edit source]

Hello Itachou.

I saw your message on the Assassin suit Talk page and responded there.

I'll once again infer that the Mikael you mentioned is Tagaziel. As you can no doubt tell, I don't know him other than by reputation (I went back and read through his admin application, after his first ever contact with me where he accused me of vandalism), and no longer care to. Whatever his contributions to the wiki, he behaved inappropriately for an admin and ignored Vault guidelines. To me all his adjudications and motives are now questionable, and you appeared to be siding with him in that exchange. That is what prompted my reply to you.

I'll assume good faith from you, as per wiki guidelines, but I must tell you that this has left me with a bad feeling about the Vault. I come here to improve pages as best I can, but if the rules are arbitrary and it's no fun, then what's the point?

As for the assassin suit, I still think that we are all working from speculation. Note that I originally defended the section being on the page, but realised I was not being objective. I think people have developed an "escalation of commitment" about it and don't want to back down and perhaps look foolish (not a problem for me, I'm already a fool for getting so involved with this). All I would say again is that I think it's better to leave it off the page until confirmed, rather than on the page until disproved (if it ever is). Are you so sure about it that you're happy for a casual end-user to read it as fact? I'm not.

Note, however, that I have not removed the entry again and have no intention to do so. There seems little point at the moment.

All the best, --FourWayDiablo 02:22, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hello Itachou. I'm not going to add much more to the assassin talk page. I feel the case against has been made, but no-one wants to look at the facts (you included, see below ^_^). There's nothing more to be said until we get confirmation.
I think you know I was using the "MkIII suit" as an example of how the same information can be used in different ways. If I said the MkI was "lost" instead, my point would still stand. You picked up on the detail instead of addressing the actual point. I'm not attacking you, but this is what happened all through the debate, which is why it has run this long. Surely you can see that? And yes, I've always accepted it was Christine's suit, but that doesn't tell us anything else about its history.
On the subject of Tagaziel, I can't really explain any more clearly than I did above ↑. He was needlesly rude and abused his admin status. You can consider this a formal complaint, although he seems to be getting away with this kind of thing just fine up to now. Even you, a fellow admin, tried to distance yourself from him in the topic. I do not understand why his behaviour is tolerated. Please note that I have no "grudge" against him nor any kind of agenda here. I intend to ignore him from now on, but I will contact you in future if necessary.
Anyway, I just got back from the Sierra Madre and I need to unpack my gear ^_^. Talk to you soon, --FourWayDiablo 18:54, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Well, I've seen them all now, and I couldn't be more glad that you showed me them :). I'm ready for this surprise that you have up your sleeve now too ;). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

It was indeed sad, but it made sense too, which is what a lot of series lack; a strong ending. He was valient as always and did what I for one expected of him. The biggest shame for me was that he did not end up with Fuyutsuki. And don't worry about explaining what happens after, as I will be buying that soon :). Yes the openings where great, and the later one featured a wonderful sofa ;). Slipknot?! Well, then I think I'll have to watch it on mute.
As you say, that seems noble to an extent, but his means seems wrong. I fear Immanuel Kant would not approve :). I would love to have a discussion about it later after I have watched a few if you are fond of philosophy too, as I presume you are with your new 'vocation'. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

This is more like it...[edit source]

Much more fun to talk about the actual games than admin problems. ^_^

Yes, I always leave the Sierra Madre with all the gold. I refuse to learn any moral lessons about greed! I always save the companions, as well. I'm too soft-hearted to survive in the wastes. >_<

Are you psychic?! I am indeed off to Zion next. I'm doing a Guns playthrough, so I want to get ALSiD to use as my main sidearm (perhaps not the "best" gun, but my favourite gun).

I do the DLCs first so there's something left in the Mojave to use all the cool gear on. Always Dead Money first (no equipment needed), then HH for a Guns character, or OWB for Energy Weapons/Unarmed.

I tried killing Joshua once (also VH/Hardcore). The C-4 just seemed to make him angry for some reason... I reloaded, too, as I agree with him about the White Legs. Poor Daniel needs to accept the reality of the Fallout world. ^_^

All the best, --FourWayDiablo 12:34, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

I think it's better to have the Burned Man on your side, rather than chasing you with a .45! ^_^
For the DM gold, (btw I never play F:NV without Long Haul - too many bad memories from F3) I sell 2 or 3 to each of the hologram merchants in the Sierra. This gives me enough weightless pre-war money to last for the rest of the game. I use some when trading with the Great Khans armorer to get maximum value. But I always keep at least one, stained with Elijah's blood, in my safe as a reminder. o_O

Hi Itachou

I thought you might have seen it already, but as we were talking about him. I'm on xbox so I had to sit there with a pen and paper >_< (All my hard work, wasted!! "weeps")

Anyway, it may be interesting to other players. Like I said, too big for the Notes section but I'm sure bits can be used to flesh out other pages.

I'll take a look at that topic. All the best, --FourWayDiablo 15:08, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Katana[edit source]

I remember the discussion with the History on Toshiro Kago page. The same thing applies here also, and I quote Goth "It has always been Vault policy to keep out-of-game information to a minimum. Links about history and samurai suffice."

As for the names, 'Katana (cut content)' should really go to 'Katana (Mothership Zeta)', FNV should be under 'Katana (Fallout: New Vegas)'. The Fallout 3 version should be placed under 'Samurai sword (Fallout 3)'. Then either 'samurai sword' or 'katana' should be made into an overview page, with the unused one redirecting to the overview page. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 14:51, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

I am not really disagreeing on keeping the background. But when the background takes up almost half of the page (and none of it is lore), then I disagree. As people come here to read about the game/lore and not the real world. It needs to be massively reduced, preferably into a single paragraph. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 15:02, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
I would say half the second paragraph needs to be cut. Parts of it related to present day real world, which isn't really relevant here. The other half is speculated with the sentence including "believed to be". I have cut it down to what I think is only required, if you agree. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 15:47, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

5.56mm and .223[edit source]

When we get confirmation that a previously 5.56mm weapon can use .223 caliber, then yes. Until then, it is kinda speculation. However, That Gun cant really be considered a .223, since it has changed somewhat (single trigger instead of dual, and the fact that sawyer named it That Gun instead of .223 pistol). Just have to wait for the Gun Runners DLC to see. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 19:17, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

Bugged Badges?[edit source]

So I just edited my user page to mention how I got 3 10 points of luck 3 days straight, then I check my other badges, and I see that I've gotten the Defender (contribute each day for 5 days) 3 times as well, and I only remember getting it once and I think that you can only get it once. Hello Itachou, Well, now I've realized that some badges also skipped in the badges you get for contributing on a daily basis. Its gone from being in progress for the 14 day one, to the 60 day badge "Guardian of the Wastes". Probably since most editors don't get their 10 Pts. of Luck editing their user page instead of regular pages, and probably confused the badge system. Fallout Answers[edit source]

Hello Itachou :)

You may have heard that The Vault's sister site, Fallout Answers, recently opted for Wikia to initiate an IP block, effectively blocking all IP addresses from editing pages for at least two weeks. In the time that I and the bureaucrat have, we would like to add upon the team over on the sister site.

At the moment, there are only two users with administrative privileges who regularly are online. In order to make the site more effective and efficient, I have been tasked with finding trusted users that can take some time (maybe 5-10 minutes) from their normal Wikia schedule to keep an eye on the site from time to time. This will potentially cut down on site traffic and allow "real" questions to be asked and answered in more depth. Through my past interactions with you, I feel that the bureaucrat and I can trust you with administrative privileges.

If you feel comfortable joining the team, please leave a message on my talk page and let me know your decision. Best regards, Kastera (talk) 16:00, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Helping a little bit is better than no help at all. The bureaucrat will be promoting you to admin on Monday or Tuesday because he has some business to deal with over the weekend. Glad you're on the bandwagon!

Deus Ex[edit source]

That sounds great Itachou :). I'd love to help you out with it, and it’s basically the same problems here, so once I am able to sort one efficiently, it will transfer to the other and I can do my job faster. I generally have a different name for each wiki because it makes more sense as this is the first one I did and it is strongly Fallout related. Can you think of a good name for over there? What about 'Deus Ad' ;)?

Anyway, the main point is of course I'll help. I'll basically have dropped out of the Vault for a while anyway, I'm down to around 2-20 edits a day, but I have this wiki too, and Fallout 2 info to get (not as much of a chore as I'm making out), dialogue to write for MR and I have to go through two Latin texts for my course. Don't get me wrong though, if I wasn't busy, I'd be bored, and I've nearly finished two of these so I'd love to help. Just help with a name and I'll have started by this evening. You can still call me Guardian though ;).

TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png 11:05, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

P.S. The Answers still isn't working, maybe if you edit something so that you are autoconfirmed or add to you user page?

Well, that one certainly was a good one, but it has already been taken. I'm sure you'll have another decent one tucked up your sleeve? :) TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
Yes, that too I'm afraid, both variations. On a lighter note I've found both of the original games for less than £6 :). Sorry, TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png.
No, I'm afraid they are both gone too. I saw the SWAT image you just put up over there, can you think of something that might tie in with that? That'd do well as an avatar... TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

There's no rush, though I'll get started as soon as I have a name. I'd prefer to have an obscure character's name if I have a character's name, perhaps someone who's name is only mentioned once. More than that though, I'd prefer it to be something rather than someone, but I've had a look through and I can't find something. But I'd rather not be someone evil. Cunning perhaps, but not outright evil. A respectable adversary type if I am not on JC's side. I always find it hard to choose a name, so I'm sorry. Also, I've just read this and it seems very jumbled, but I'll leave it because it may help something to pop into your head. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Yes, Sam Carter works :). I had a read up on his page, and I think I rather have General Carter, which also works, because it is more of a reference then a direct name, and sounds a bit better. Also then two types of confusion can be avoided: People thinking that is my name, and my signature not being confused with the character's page. Thoughts? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
An early night indeed :). I'll get on it now, and then we can discuss what needs doing tommorow then. See you soon Itachou. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Mutants Rising[edit source]

Again you're arguing why the Vault should not cover mods while I was talking about not suppressing discussion about the inclusion of mods. Sorry, but it is irrelevant what other wikis choose to do; generally nobody but the respective community sets rules for the content of a wiki. I've listed wikis which choose to cover unofficial content, you've listed wikis which don't, but ultimately the only thing that's relevant for the Vault is what the Vault's community wants. And we cannot know what it wants if discussion is cut short.

And no, discussion about whether a mod (or mods) should be included is not "off-topic"; only discussion about the mods itself is (currently).

The author having withdrawn the request is a dubious reason for closing a thread at best; there are dozens of threads about withdrawn requests and none of them have been closed.

If you don't believe me, feel free to ask Ausir, I'm pretty sure he will agree with me on the first two points at least. Sorry if this post is rather curt, but this discussion is going in circles and I feel it's costing me too much time I'd rather spend on improving the wiki. -- Porter21 (talk) 22:21, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

MysteryStranger[edit source]

I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to me as if this user is creating pointless edits to boost himself. I noticed on his talk page that he has had a history of this before so I figured I'd point this out to an Admin. Had to revert quite a few edits over the White Legs and then there were edits like the one over the Lizard Man which were edited with no actual changes. Skål! 17:11, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Itachou :).
I haven't forgotten to answer at DX, just strapped for time at the moment. Could you not get in English over there? I presume that a user here might have it too. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
No, I'm afraid not ;). I play on PS3 anyway, but I would like to help. I'll ask in chat :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

The one below looks promising, "I'll be back in like four hours" :). Quarter to Three for you? I can imagine, amusing that you prefer to listen to it out of your native tongue, but I understand the voices are of greater quality. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Well I can agree that English voices are superior, even to the ones you listed ;). I wish you luck then, hopefully you'll find it :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

I can speak only like this (I'm known as MysteryStranger). I know that there is Lonesome Road snowglobe (not the Divide), but we knew that there was going to be one. Still, who doesn't say that page can't be renamed? 94.253.182.209 10:10, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Arc Welder[edit source]

Hey Itachou, haven't seen you for a while. About the Arc Welder, I have thought about the name and it's not as you call it a normal arc welder, like the Van Buren one. It's not some kind of blowtorch but a weapon. So I thought Arc Welder would be a proper noun. And I didn't remember the heavy incinerator naming. Thought attaching it to Lonesome Road, it would be better recognizable, because then you immediately know it's a DLC weapon, and not a FNV weapon. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:17, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

GECK render[edit source]

I can agree with that. Personally, I didn't feel the switch to NIF renders was really necessary, but if I remember correctly Avatar tried them out, resulting in a forum thread, with the outcome of using NIF images for the infobox. Main reason for choosing the NIFS is that they are of higher quality, the body is replaced for a mannequin model to get the focus on the clothing, and the race is left neutral (that was also an issue). But I do feel the GECK renders are more alive, not so static. Also, they show up larger in the infobox. So I can support the GECK render in the gallery. Maybe you can also ask Avatar's opinion. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 23:26, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

I have no issues with this at all, the GECK images do add more character to the actual item. But that also brings with it certain disadvantages for the infobox image, so adding them to the gallery is defiantly a good idea. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 15:56, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Reaver movement[edit source]

Impressive work, Itachou. We're lucky to have someone like you, adding information to these kind of articles, digging into background stories. This must have cost you a lot of time. Were did you get that information? Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:04, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

  • Yes, you can see (well, I can anyway) most of the page is done by your hand. But not to worry, it's very readable. The addition of valued information is what counts.

Industrial hand.[edit source]

Hello Itachou,

I am currently annoyed by the Industrial Hand. ^_^ I've decapped the page, but a lower-case "h" gives a redlink. How do I fix this?

Just to note, it's not a unique weapon and shouldn't be capped, so the "Hand" in the page title also needs fixing. Thanks for your time.

All the best, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 17:06, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Out of interest, can anyone change page names or just admins? Also, how are you enjoying Lonesome Road? Did you let Ulysses live or die? >_< --FourWayDiablo(talk) 17:56, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
P.S. Typing industrial hand in the search box still gives a redirect. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 18:34, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Yes, I saw the drop-down option to change the page name, but wanted to check because I didn't know how it affected page linking (the redirect, for example). Sorry I wasn't clear in my last question.

No LR spoilers from me! >_< I avoided even looking at any Vault pages until I finished it, and I'd hate to ruin someone's game. I took a chance that you knew it was a Fallout add-on, and you knew you'd have options when you met Ulysses. :-) I too was very impressed with the scenery as much as anything. After all those hours in the Mojave, with its sparse, low buildings, it was quite a change to be in bleak apocalyptic ruins again. And the Bowie knife is my new favourite weapon (finally, a proper survival knife!).

I won't say more until you finish it ^_^. Right now I'm finishing up the main NV quests so I can start a new game when GRA comes out.

All the best, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 19:11, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Tim to the Adams[edit source]

Opps, forgot to add the reason. Basically it was a chat violation (I have adjusted the ban to now reflect this). He was spamming chat and would have gotten only a 3 day ban, if it hadn't of been for the other offences. Now since it is only a chat violation, I am happy to lower that to 3 days if there is a show of remorse on there part. But it most be expressed that the next offence will not be reduced or removed, so they need to be on good behaviour. I leave it up to you to make the choice. Battle of wills.[edit source]

Hi Itachou,

Have you finished Lonesome Road? Is Joshua Graham still your favourite, or did Ulysses manage to talk you round? >_<

All the best, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 16:45, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

How odd that we both decided to choose peace and nuke the Legion O_o. Never tried to kill Ulysses, not even for research purposes. :-)
I agree, there were some very well-implemented ideas in this DLC. The "mini-bosses" (named marked men) waiting at various points worked well, and the map areas flowed together believably. Your actions having an effect on the Mojave was a nice bonus; especially interesting that the most moral path (not launching the nukes) gave no material rewards.
Ulysses seemed almost confused at times, his thinking and rationale for his actions no more of a societal advancement than NCR or Legion. Whilst Graham struggled to be a light in the darkness, it was almost like Ulysses wanted to blow out the candles with the hope that people remembered how to make fire afterwards. ^_^ I wonder what they each would have done with their lives without Caesar's influence.
As with the other DLCs, I look forward to playing it again to get more from it. I'm sure I missed many subtle aspects of the story, and I want to take more time to just enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. Maybe I'll try to get the elusive Yes Man duster =). OWB was my favourite DLC, but now I don't know. The moment when I shotgun-blasted a leaping deathclaw over the side of an overpass (in slow motion) may have swayed the vote.

Ulysses timeline[edit source]

Hey Itachou. I foresee we're going to have another heated argument here, so why don't we skip the anger and heated and just agree that Big MT came before the Victor job? The primary reason is that Elijah has been trying to get into the Sierra Madre for quite a bit of time; the Courier is just one of many living lockpicks used by him. Remember, Ulysses told Elijah about the Big MT; he didn't know about it before. If we assume that Ulysses went to the Big MT after declining the offer to carry the chip, then that leaves an impossibly short window of time for:

  1. Ulysses to find the Divide's silos, travel to and fro Big MT to obtain the access codes, save Christine, tell Elijah about the Big MT.
  2. Elijah to get inside Big MT, hack the Think Tanks, get told about SM by Ulysses, ride out of the Madre on trains, set up in the bunker, make several trips to the Madre to get samples, make several attempts to get inside, unsuccesful, enslave Dog, get inside the casino once after triggering the Gala, get trapped, lose hope, wait for Dog to capture Domino and Christine, events of DM to play out.

As you can see, this order of events is impossible. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 19:10, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

Yes Man mentions that in 2280 House was still looking for the Chip. Furthermore, deliveries typically don't take a few months. You're probably misinterpreting what Ulysses said:

Not going to talk you out of it. Know what it means to track someone you share history with. Got a meeting of my own.

Get [her/him] to come to me. Got a message for [her/him], like the message [she/he] had for me. Make them walk the road west, straight and true, sink their feet in Old World ash. Let storms tear at them. See the Divide. See what happened.

This quite clearly means that Ulysses is still looking for the Courier. Therefore, this is before he declines the job to carry the platinum chip, as at that point he knows that the Courier is alive and where he is going to go. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 20:06, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

  • I can't tell, Itachou. I've not dug as deep into the game background story as you and Tagaziel (and I haven't really played LR yet). Tagaziel's ahead of you, saw that he already asked Chris Avellone. That should bring more clarity. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 21:51, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hi[edit source]

Hello Itachou :). You never replied to my message on Deus Ex. Also, I've been thinking about the answers idea I had; did you give it anymore thought? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Thanks :). Is that recent? Like after the Entente cordiale? I have to admit that it is somewhat fair to label England pre-1700ish disloyal; what they did to the Scots was appaling. Just because one kings wants his life spared and agrees to acknowledge the agressors his 'overlords', that does not mean that it is fair to attack and pester them for 500 years... But, in fairness, the 'auld alliance' between you, well it wasn't always solid. Like when Robert the Bruce managed to march from Scotland to Dover to wait for a French Army that never came ;).
About the bit below (very rudely phrased), he is almost right. For it to be perfect it would be 'This user has known of Fallout since 1996'. I don't like correcting people to much over the wiki(s), because it is hard to show emotions through text :). That's why I occasionally get worried I sound rude.
Did you think about the answers idea? Just wondering really, but I think that it would be fun to set up (in a strange way perhaps!). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Also, this guy -> Special:Contributions/199.216.81.20
and this one Special:Contributions/217.209.35.193 need bans. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Haha, okay then ;). Well, 'This user has known of Fallout since 1996' is the high of grammatical correctness as it takes into account objectification etc., but that is fine too. It makes perfect sense either way, and I think for a user page, it may be better :). Well, I'll mull over the aswer thing more first I suppose ;). I could have a careful look through your user page if that would be helpful? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
No, not yet! I will be as soon as I can, but I like to wait for major bugs to be ironed out. My birthday is not too far away now, so I may get LR, GRA and CS as well as DXHR with any luck. Actually, that means yours is soon too, right? Oh, almost forgot, thanks :). TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png
Do you want me to actually do it, like one of the pages I do for you, or just give you a list. I don't mind either way :). This may seem like an inappropriate question too, but is 'Werewolfhell' actually dead? TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Itachou, it is the practice of The Vault to not go into great detail in the real-world history of in-game items. Articles should be brief in real-world detail and let a link to wikipedia supply the rest of the info.--Gothemasticator 14:44, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Pistols[edit source]

You got to be careful with pistol images from the GECK. The GECK leaves the speed loader at the rear of the chamber in place when taking the image. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:37, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

It happens to all hand loaded weapons i.e. .357 magnum etc. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:46, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
Spent a lot of time with the GECK, always trying to get that better image where I can. The problem with the flame effects (as with a few other things), is that the edges are transparent. So trying to get a image which doesn't also show the background behind in these areas are very hard. Personally, I would say it would be better to have a in-game image to show the flame effect, that way you don't need to trim the image and worry about the transparent effect of the flame. Gun Runners' Arsenal[edit source]

The GRA is not a disambiguous term (although, the system they use in-game is the same as what wiki use for dis-ambiguousness), it is the actual in-game name of the item. As with all page names, it should be named with the most common known term (which generally is the main in-game name). This is to help with people searching for that term, see Master, Caesar etc. here for examples. However, that dosnt stop use from using that term in the intro line i.e. laser RCW also has the rapid capacitor weapon name as well. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 13:48, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Yes it is a strange format we are now in. That is why it is best to stick to the pre-existing format in place (i.e. in-game name), instead of putting our own personal interpretation in place, which could cause confusion for readers who are not thinking a long the same lines as use. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 14:10, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Bozar.[edit source]

Good to hear from you again. I just felt it needed a re-write since it seemed to be a matter of opinion. That and so many weapons I have experimented on seem to be so much better than the Bozar. Fully upgraded (GRA) assault carbine, All-American, even the LMG (Although it doesn't have a scope.) If you feel that's the way it should be written, I shall leave it alone though. This is just my opinion for the one in F:NV. I've played F2 in the past, but I've never gotten far enough in it to get myself one. Need to get back on someday and finish it. Have a good day and see you around The Vault! ;) Skål! 14:39, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

The sentence as it is currently constructed is very subjective. The reason being is how people compare weapon strength in relation to each other and also in which situation it is used. For me personally, weapon strength comes from per shot and not DPS, for which the Bozar could be considered one of the weakest in that term. It really need to be re-written to reflect the comparison in terms of DPS and not a overall assessment of the weapons performance. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 14:55, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Ja. It's all a matter of perception really. I'd have to experiment some more, but it really did seem fairly weak to other weapons. (When not having to rely on VATS.) I'm not even that far. ;) I beat F1 but I only got as far as Vault City in F2. Now that I have a new gaming laptop; I ought to go back and finish it. Skål! 15:12, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

I think the plasma caster addition is acceptable. There is a big difference between saying it is a powerful weapon and one of the most powerful weapons. Additionally, the same sentence does point out in what area it is powerful (i.e. rate of fire). What the Bozar page is lacking, is in what respect the term powerful is being used (again rate of fire or DPS). User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 15:16, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

GRA Unique weapons vendors[edit source]

I double-checked it and if the original vendors are dead then the weapons will appear on Ventotron. If the original vendors are alive then Ventotron will not have them too. So that means there is only one location you can get each unique weapon and it depends on the player's previous action which of the 2 possible locations will it be (with the exception of the weapons that are originally sold by Ventotron). So there is no randomness or both times had the same results, something rare since 2 different old and 2 different new saves where used to determine their vendors. Well then, undo the edits that you find wrong, my bad. It seems that I have to test it even more. Comedian1988 13:02, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Characteristics/background[edit source]

Hi Itachou!

I see I'll keep that in mind. Whenever I hear "background" I automatically think "story behind it". Likewise when I hear "characteristics" I think "appearance", so that's probably the base of the problem. Thanks for pointing it out. --Kastera (talk) 15:58, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Bozar[edit source]

Please check out the references on the Bozar page, there's a citation from J.E. Sawyer specifically stating that the Bozar is a unique light machine gun. --Deus Gladiorum 16:12, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

I read what you had said, but technically if it's considered to be a "unique light machine gun" I still see it as being considered a variant. Even if it's not a variant, according to sawyer it's still a unique version of a weapon so it should at least be mentioned on the respective page, right? I think we should open this up for discussion (not exactly sure how to start that) if we can't come to an agreement. --Deus Gladiorum 16:47, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

I agree that both Bozars should be separately classified. Especially with a reference such as that one from Sawyer and by the fact that the game even considers it a LMG by allowing you to only be able to repair the Bozar with other LMG. (Without the jury rigging perk, of course.) Skål! 16:50, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

Oh lol I misunderstood you, I thought you wanted to get rid of it completely. Alright, well that sounds fine, sorry for the misunderstanding. :) --Deus Gladiorum 17:03, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

Nexus, etc..[edit source]

Sorry I didn't know that. I thought it was ok because I found a while ago a link about a fix on the T-45 (the non-bos version) that removed the BoS insignia (and that's how I found nexus). I removed the links I had posted from the 15mm APW and the GRA assault rifle. Sorry again, now I know. Comedian1988 18:18, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

You'll get sick of me soon[edit source]

Hi again. I was wondering if you could add your two cents to the forum post I opened about whether or not pure human should be used, and on who. Could you also tell me some other people who have strong opinions who I should ask to get involved. Thanks, My profile pageCome and say hello

Well, thanks a lot. I've seen Goth's post, and I think that clears it up once and for all, especially as you guys have reinforced it :) My profile pageCome and say hello
