Video[edit source]

It's our video - I wrote the raw script. Add it! :) Tagaziel (talk) 22:43, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Forum:New Wiki Media[edit source]

You opinion would be greatly appreciated.--Ant2242 (talk) 21:01, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

The Vault:LAYQ[edit source]

Should we update the layout guideline & article creation templates with the new parameters?--Ant2242 (talk) 23:37, 31 October 2015 (UTC) Synopsis, Walkthrough, and Journal entries. Unless "Journal entries" should be named something else.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:44, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Should the section for the PIP-Boy quest stages be named "Quest stages" or "Journal entries"?--Ant2242 (talk) 23:16, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

  1. Never trust a bot!
  2. Let's settle on a title before moving forward.

What do you suggest? So far I've heard three options; "Quest stages" "Quest stage table" or "Journal entries". Would it make more sense to call it something along the lines of "PIP-Boy entry stages", or am I overthinking it?--Ant2242 (talk) 23:36, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

No, I don't remember GhostAvatar's bot, unfortunately I cannot trust bots after what they've done to our dialogue files. Virtually every single one was broken until recently. Now only the dialogue files from FO3 through FNVLR are broken, if they are even here. Such as the still missing Tactics dialogue. But I digress, I will add the blank template to all appropriate quest articles.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:56, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Laurifer Gladiator

According to VA:LAYQ the unmarked quests don't get a mention regarding the "synopsis" section.--Ant2242 (talk) 20:36, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Yes, please! Thank you.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:47, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

FO3 GECK[edit source]

My FO3 GECK editor completely lacks all DLCs and I cannot figure out why. If you have it could you please add Alex Dargon's Jensen's Edwards' Rivet City security and Brotherhood of Steel Knight's dialogue to the wiki? I'm trying to go through the characters that have been overlooked including their Broken Steel additions.--Ant2242 (talk) 22:14, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Magazines[edit source]

Oops, sorry about that. Just went all bot there for a moment. What do you think of what I've done to the Astoundingly Awesome Tales cover summaries? Shouldn't there be a worded description of the image and a portrait template for the image itself?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:57, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

Maybe, but we are still the encyclopedia...--Ant2242 (talk) 03:09, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

Lead[edit source]

Just followed a Fallout: New Vegas crafting link to Lead… only to land on a Fallout 4 article.
Do you plan to edit all FNV links to lead and change them to take Lead (Fallout: New Vegas) instead? -- CompleCCity (talk) 16:23, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

Combat weapon platform[edit source]

Do you have any idea on how to proceed with the new "combat <weapon type>" platform and its retcon of the combat shotgun of Fallout 3?--Ant2242 (talk) 04:26, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

The "Combat <weapon type>" is clearly a new weapons platform that must have been introduced just to fill the needs of an increasingly strained supply line. For in Fallout 4 the "Combat shotgun", "rifle", and "sniper rifle" are all of the same weapon parts.

As for the "Combat shotgun" being a retcon of the Combat shotgun in Fallout 3, just add the receiver of choice, long stock, long barrel, drum magazine, front sight rings and compensator to the weapon. The only difference to this load-out is the drum being moved back to below the receiver. --Ant2242 (talk) 02:03, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Mirelurks[edit source]

The Nahant Oceanological Society has entries on both the pre-War pollution and radiation pollution of the local watershed and notes on marked changes in the local crustations.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:03, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Generic terminals[edit source]

That is our format, if you want to change it I suggest at least f*&#ing finishing the Gorram project first. All Creation Kit ID should be on the GECK page. The best coarse of action seems to be transclusion from the generic page to the location page.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:58, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

FO4 weapon modification table[edit source]

I created a new table for the modifications (here; "Survivor's Special"), should this be transcluded from the overview page to appropriate pages (once a baseid column is added)? Also how should we proceed with the expansion of the overview beyond the possible transclusion of the overview table?--Ant2242 (talk) 17:53, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

"vault" video[edit source]

Because this video is not about all the vaults, nor is it 100% accurate. For example, there was no "discovery" of the chems within Vault 95, he was ordered to release them, that the revolt of Vault 111 happened within the first 180 days, that the overseer of Vault 81 never had a "change of heart" she was simply not informed until the last moment. Deciding that the best course of action was to sabotage the calling list and stopping the experiment, that there was no inhabitants of Vault 114 because of the ongoing construction.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:25, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Your imput please.[edit source]

I would very much like your input on these last four items regarding combat armor.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:43, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Tumblr page[edit source]

Hey, I've been keeping the Vault Tumblr active for a bit, but I've kinda strayed from the point of it to advertise for the wiki. Now that's not exactly a bad thing as the tumblr page is now 2x more popular than the facebook page, but I think I need some help with creating articles that advertise and get people to visit the Vault. Do you think you could help me out with that? Shadowrunner(stuff) 03:55, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. I know I posted the power armor article already, though. Also, try to avoid posts that just links with text. People don't seem to respond to those that well. Try adding a picture and linking the photo to whatever article you're posting.

And you can also make posts to future posting too, btw. You can either add them to the Queue for a short period where it will be automatically posted at some time or save it as a draft if you want to save it for long while. Shadowrunner(stuff) 18:42, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks![edit source]

For adding me to that page. I thought it would be inappropriate to do that myself. :) -- CompleCCity (talk) 19:12, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Re: Junk item IDs[edit source]

Sure, however still always recommend a final review. Also could those names be brands rather than manufacturers?--Ant2242 (talk) 05:24, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

.net & transclusions[edit source]

We have to keep track of it somewhere. It is the first computer address known in the series.

What's your opinion on what I have done so far with the combat armor and metal armor? How should we handle the modifications tables? Should we transclude them? I don't think that we can as the modifications themselves might change the appearance of the armor pieces. Perhaps standard tables (materiel and misc.) on the Armorer page and each armor set gets their own tables? --Ant2242 (talk) 02:53, 3 March 2016 (UTC) Are there specific miscellaneous modifications to specific body parts? If so then how should we add this to the tables?--Ant2242 (talk) 20:15, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

What do you think of the helmet descriptions? I believe that we should split all helmets from their merged armor pages. --Ant2242 (talk) 05:20, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Gen 1

Also what do you think of the section on the gen 1? The helmet section is under the heavy combat armor section and the gen 1 section is within its section.--Ant2242 (talk) 17:22, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

<cough>here<cough>--Ant2242 (talk) 18:17, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Creation armor template[edit source]

Is there a way to change the template to allow a hidden option for the effects bar? Everything within them is a variable better described within the myriad of tables below.--Ant2242 (talk) 18:58, 3 March 2016 (UTC) okay.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:07, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

External links[edit source]

User:Ant2242/to do list#External links that NEED to be Archived

Should I just go ahead and make this a wiki page? If so what category should this be under? Source texts?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:42, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

I think that it is necessary because we must keep track of all the references that are not hosted here. These references expand on the various topics and are subject to "link rot".

Thank you, I just don't want to be the only person doing this. Multiple heads are always better than one. Also could you please link me the pages you come across with external links that are not in the table? --Ant2242 (talk) 02:07, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Paris & OWB[edit source]

Could you please review my writing of the Paris article? I would like a second opinion before I use it as a basis for the Project 'Blue Blood' page.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:48, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Could you please also look over the pages "Project Burke", "Project Hare", "Project 'Blue Blood'" and "Ghost (Fallout: New Vegas)"? (Ghost needs a parameter check for two lines.)--Ant2242 (talk) 11:15, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Creature/robot overviews and FO4AM characters[edit source]

What exactly is our format for the creature/robot overviews? I always thought that it was all generics are on the game overview while the uniques are separate pages.

Also I have been writing up the mentioned only characters from the RobCo facility terminals and would like your opinion on them. --Ant2242 (talk) 22:14, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

Automatron characters.[edit source]

Should I add the Automatron mentioned only characters to the navbox?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:34, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

FO4 mod tables[edit source]

I believe that we need to standardize the mod tables. Any Ideas for what the standard should be for this game? Also should I begin creating the pages for the mods themselves, or should I wait?--Ant2242 (talk) 16:16, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Re:Flag template and other stuff[edit source]

Thanks for the message; I've done a bit of wiki editing before and have just recently become a big Fallout fan. The active editors who are here are productive and helpful, and it's a great community/environment that I plan on sticking around for and working with for the foreseeable future. Brantmeierz (talk) 15:00, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

FO4 armor template update[edit source]

I had to update Template:Create article/armor/FO4 for it had New Vegas parameters. Did I do it correctly? I also believe that the create page bar could use a review. For some reason there is two "characters" page templates on it.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:39, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

The creation engine doc still had some New Vegas parameters that I don't believe are in 4. Could you please review?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:33, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
I am at a loss on how to proceed with them. Should I re-add them?
  • If "HP" and "Repair" are only for power armor, then shouldn't it be in the tables for the individual pieces, rather than the Infobox?
  • As for "Class", "'Standard', Sturdy, and Heavy" are technically their own armor sets, but how should this be if the format is "Armor (Fallout 4)" as the overview?
PS What are we doing with "Ballistic Damage"? Shouldn't we already have this? Am I missing it?
--Ant2242 (talk) 03:27, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
HP and Repair are only there to link to the table? Then shouldn't it be expanded upon? Also Is that repair uniform, or do modifications change the requirements for said repairs?
I don't know if Class is redundant anymore. If "class" means "'Standard', Sturdy, and Heavy" shouldn't that be where the links go?
Should all the parameters mentioned only be on the power armor and armor set pages respectively?
--Ant2242 (talk) 03:49, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
I've re-added the conditions and tweaked the descriptions. Also Ballistic Resistance (what I meant from above), Energy Resistance, and Radiation Resistance (Poison Resistance too) probably need a complete update. Going to add the class back to combat armor, what do you think?--Ant2242 (talk) 04:25, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

I've made some changes to MediaWiki:Newarticletext, so the bar has now "Actor" and "Character" as intended. -- UserCCCSig.png -- You like to talk to me? -- cCContributions -- 09:55, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Template Ammo Creation and Syringes[edit source]

We don't have a template for the ammo of the Creation engine. Should one be made, or should we just continue to use the one for Gamebyo?

Also what should we do about the Syringes? Should they all be a single page and thus treat them like variants to any other ammunition? Or should we separate them into individual pages and leave them as they are, with an overview? --Ant2242 (talk) 12:46, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Holodisks, notes, and Companion Inventory format[edit source]

I have recently added a separate Inventory box for Danse and Deacon, because their inventories change. One based on story progression and the other based on location. What do you think of this change? Is it appropriate? Could this be a standard going forward?

Holodisks and notes were always merged on the holos n' notes game overview pages, however should we separate them for FO4? They function differently now then they did under any game engine before. Such as the new games and terminals within the holotapes, and the photos not being a pixiliated mess such as with FO3. --Ant2242 (talk) 12:54, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

FO4 mods[edit source]

Should I make a template for mod page creation? In any case, what do you think of the first mod page? (.44 Bull barrel) Anything missing besides the data and images?--Ant2242 (talk) 06:49, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Template:Create article/mods/FO4 What do you think of the template's format? I was going for what we did with the FNV mods, but maybe we could also split the sections of the weapons? Also looking into this makes me believe that there is no "Laser Pistol" and "Laser Rifle" separation. That is to say they are both "Laser Gun" and the coding renames them biased on configuration. This goes as well with the "Pipe" weapons, them being both denoted by their action and then this other thing called "Pipe Gun". (Template:Navbox weapon mods FO4)--Ant2242 (talk) 02:55, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

I always thought that we went by game object.--Ant2242 (talk) 05:20, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

I created the pages for several unique armor pieces and the ballistic weave mod. What do you think of them? I've been going forward with them as their own world objects. Also shouldn't the FO4 modifications page be pluralized?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:53, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Far Harbor perks[edit source]

Hello. Do you think, giving all these articles the disambiguation-suffix "Far Harbor perk" is a good idea? I always thought, suffixes were chosen by game (so "Far Harbor" would suffice) or by object (so "perk" would do it, regarding the Lone Wanderer). -- UserCCCSig.png -- You like to talk to me? -- cCContributions -- 21:25, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Okay, until now there are six pages with the "Lone Wanderer" naming. No, eight, just created the yet missing disambiguation page (see Content organization guideline, Naming #3) and a redirect to it:
According to the same policy, #3.6 a combination of game and another parameter should be used. So it seems, you're right with this naming, combining the game, "Far Harbor" and the object, "perk". Should have done a little research before criticizing you, sorry!
But to remain consistent, the Lone Wanderer (perk) then should be moved to Lone Wanderer (Fallout 4 perk). And with this, I say, we wait indeed until the facts are known. Help me to remember possibly making appropriate changes to the disambig page. I don't know when the add-on exactly will be released, or its contents.
(I tend to expand the consistency, though this wouldn't accord to the guideline, and move LW (FS) to LW (FS weapon) or simply LW (weapon), and LW (v) to LW (FO4 vehicle). But that's another thing, and one cannot have everything…) -- UserCCCSig.png -- You like to talk to me? -- cCContributions -- 12:15, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Reddit[edit source]

Congrats on the front page of the /r/fo4 subreddit; I was scrolling through the top posts and saw a familiar article and name. Brantmeierz (talk) 03:11, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Creatures & robots[edit source]

I've changed that on all templates to "Creatures + robots". Is "Creatures and robots" really better? -- UserCCCSig.png -- You like to talk to me? -- cCContributions -- 10:49, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

No, was just out of taste and mood… Okay, then I'll change the other templates back to "and", when I revisit them later. Currently moving all "armor and clothing"-categories to "apparel"; items then are the next step on those templates.
And before I again change something, that is perhaps unwanted: I'll plan to change the listings as such:
  • Armor, clothing, outfits
    • Apparel
  • Weapons (these yet differ from game to game, I will see if that can be changed)
    • Explosives
    • Guns
    • Unarmed
  • Other items
    • Consumables
    • Misc item
-- UserCCCSig.png -- You like to talk to me? -- cCContributions -- 18:00, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

Jet and Madame[edit source]

Is that the correct dialogue line? Is what was there a float line or a different response to "Jet? What is Jet?" ? I cannot confirm at the moment and will later be going through her dialogue for references to flesh out her page.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:14, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Item infobox[edit source]

Shouldn't the template be linked to "(Game) junk items" if it is a junk item? Currently they all appear to be linking to "Fallout 4 crafting".--Ant2242 (talk) 04:03, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Water fountains[edit source]

The only time I remember filling a bottle of water from a water fountain was at Vault 111 and it made purified water, so I assumed that settlement pumps and fountains were the ways to get purified water. I don't remember filling any others at other faucets/fountains, so it may differ between different fountain locations. I will test it a bit and see what other locations give; it may be that "clean" places like vaults give purified water and "dirty" places such as BADTFL give dirty water. Brantmeierz (talk) 23:05, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Trappers[edit source]

Should they get their own faction article or should we include it under the Raiders (Fallout 4) page?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:09, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

Audio holotapes[edit source]

How can we say a page is finished without the notes? We cannot. I know it may sound ridiculous at first, but without them meaning and context gets lost. It is the same reason why we use the tooltip when referencing.--Ant2242 (talk) 21:51, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Cranberry Island Bugs?[edit source]

I found when I'm on that Island that I cannot kill whatever creature is on the island, nor have I found those ferals. Should this be on the wiki somewhere?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:16, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

It's not just Cranberry Island anymore... VATS works though...--Ant2242 (talk) 00:20, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Are they supposed to be in the "bunker"?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:42, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Blood Brotherhood update, freeform quests and trophy policy[edit source]

I recently updated the Blood Brotherhood quest article. What's your opinion on it? I just want to ensure that I don't want to mess up something, such as the format, or our page quality. Also should we be splitting the freeform quests from their Perks (Lawbringer and Contract Killer)?

Also what exactly is our trophy policy? Merge the achievement into the quest infobox? Separate them? Merge the pages together, but allow for a separate infobox? --Ant2242 (talk) 00:23, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

2. I added them under both the "see also" and "related" infobox parameter.
2.a. Unfortunately while skimming for Freeform quests in the FO3 guide, I noticed that most are actually special encounters. Specifically unique to locations and/or resulting from the end of a quest. I believe that I should just make a list and then go through them all, then put the reasoning somewhere while reviewing the actual Freeform quests.
3. Should we review all the FO4 achievement pages then? Because it appears that we are doing multiple formats for the same thing again. --Ant2242 (talk) 00:51, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Done.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:42, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Creature pages[edit source]

I'm fairly sure we should start splitting pages going forward, rather than merging them together. I never liked the bloated articles much myself. Thoughts? Tagaziel (talk) 01:59, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Vault 12 and Necropolis background[edit source]

Should they be merged? I just realized that in writing the background for Vault 12, that I had basically re-written the story of Necropolis. <:-( --02:56, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

I'm having a bit of trouble merging the two. What do you think would be best, merging it into what is written on the Vault 12 page, or the Necropolis page? Also could you please give Ghost (FNV) a review?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:03, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
Thank you! Could you please give the parameter a review? When I originally added the "parameter please" it was months before it was answered in the article. Then it seems to have gotten lost in the commotion of the other character articles in the vicinity.
....which reminds me, I don't remember if they were reviewed, or completely referenced...--Ant2242 (talk) 03:12, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Bloatflys[edit source]

If you don't mind me asking, why are you separating the Bloatfly page?--Ant2242 (talk) 12:13, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Increase search engine optimization? How does having separate pages do this?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:26, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

FO4 random encounters[edit source]

Random encounters not so random. There are apparently seven kinds of encounters; static, fluid, general, campsite, animosity, treasure hunt, and chokepoint. I am at a loss in how to proceed with them. How should we rectify this with the special encounters page?--Ant2242 (talk) 20:20, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

I understand completely, I too will be in a similar situation soon enough. However back on topic, no I have not. All encounters are within these seven types. I am at a loss to explain the difference between the random encounters with the special encounters. Is there one? Also the page itself is just a guide port. Everything must still be fleshed out and have proper images.--Ant2242 (talk) 07:51, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

But does this mean we have to merge the "special" and "random" encounters together; or, do we move all the static encounters onto the "special" encounters page? Leaving all the fluid, et cetera encounters as "random".--Ant2242 (talk) 18:55, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Show Off[edit source]

In the video on the add-on page (7:39 and forward) they display the images of the achievements... or at least I thought they did. Perhaps we (you, I... uh... lost my email password) should contact them about it.--Ant2242 (talk) 18:55, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

.308 pages[edit source]

I believe we should update the FNV .308 rounds page. Although well written, the FMJ is basically just the header. Maybe I'm missing something, but shouldn't the FMJ be inside the variants section? It is the round's game overview page after all. Also shouldn't we merge these round descriptions into the main overview?--Ant2242 (talk) 01:25, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Firework shell[edit source]

An idea just occurred to me, shouldn't these items be considered ammunition? And if so, shouldn't we treat the page like the FNV ammo pages?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:06, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Weapon crafting sections[edit source]

My pleasure! I just wish that I could operate a GECK – let alone a working computer – well enough to get the pages around here finished and source files uploaded.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:52, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

I've been adding the crafting tables onto the armor pages and want to run an idea by you; what if we could rename the product? For example, instead of "Leather armor" it would read "Leather armor - light" as it does in the creation commands.--Ant2242 (talk) 21:08, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Armor modifications[edit source]

I have created a navbox for all armor modifications, and have tried to add it to the mod pages. However in doing so I found that we already have the mods for the power armor. Shouldn't this page be merged with the armor page? I also changed the crafting table on "Rad scrubbers," hoping to improve on the page. What's your opinion of it? Oh, and finally, there are two sets of editor ids and base ids on the Rad scrubbers page. I believe I added the correct world object ones to the infobox, but should we just delete the others? What are they?--Ant2242 (talk) 22:31, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Then perhaps they should be clarified a little more in the header?
I already have a navbox for all the armors. I believe it would be best just to use it to create the redirects then carve it up into a more proper format.
All right I'll delete the other ones. Personally, I believe them to be Creation engine code to give the armor itself the effects. If it is the effects GECK info should we keep it?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:45, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Any thoughts on how to present the model (Mark and lettering) world objects? Also shouldn't we remove the crafting sections within the modification section now that the mods themselves (mostly) have their own dedicated pages?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:24, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

What's your opinion on the X-01 format? I wouldn't call it complete, but that's just a matter of merging two tables and finding the base GECK info... and getting a few images.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:28, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
The problem with that is those Editor and GECK ids are normally a part of the infobox. That whole table is an infobox for the modification world objects. Our policy is to include them in said infoboxes, only we have yet to do so. ...should we separate the Mk world objects like the modifications?--Ant2242 (talk) 04:17, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
I don't know. I know we can just use the colbox template if we wish, but these are world objects just like the multi-armor mods. So I don't know on how to proceed. Thus the separate table infobox stand in. Also I have no idea how to find the "Mk.I" Editor and base IDs which are missing from the page.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:38, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
How? Because the user in question is too lazy to read the in-game description of its function? Or perhaps because the user refuses to click the highlighted link to the page with said crafting chart? Either way I'm re-adding the redundant redundancies. Either way I'm re-adding the redundant redundancies.--Ant2242 (talk) 16:01, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
I see this as a chicken and the egg argument. Overblown, farcical and redundant. ...the egg came way before flight let alone the chicken.--Ant2242 (talk) 16:16, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

I don't have the option to add the "Photovoltaic coating" to my T-51. Perhaps a glitch? In any case, if you are able, can you please make sure the description is 100% accurate to in-game. IE unnecessary capitalization and the like...and place it in the correct spot in the list.--Ant2242 (talk) 16:24, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Scratch that, it's a helmet only misc mod. Something our redundant format doesn't account for....--Ant2242 (talk) 16:37, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
When I opened up my T-60 mod table it was there. Maybe I have a bugged game? I don't know.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:42, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Writing review and advice[edit source]

I don't want to bother you, but could you please review my work on "Vault 12 overseer," and "ArcJet Systems (company)?" Also I am having trouble with writing up Thomas Reinhardt, do you have any advice?--Ant2242 (talk) 01:22, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

Crafting mods[edit source]

I beg to differ, the crafting requirements for mods should be present on the page, for the simple reason that they reduce the number of clicks necessary to gather information on the modification requirements. There's no reason to force users to open a hundred tabs and then manually compare mods, when they can be accomplished by a simple list on the armor's page. Remember, User Experience is King. Tagaziel (talk) 07:03, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

NCR civilians[edit source]

The "NCR civilian" is not among the FNV characters. Is there some way we can account for all the NCR civilians in FNV? They are not on the dialogue page, nor is the category complete due to missing generic characters.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:27, 10 July 2016 (UTC)

ArcJet characters[edit source]

Should the ArcJet characters have their own category?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:36, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Vault-Tec Workshop Editor IDs[edit source]

Just leaving a message to say that the "DLC06..." EditorIDs with Vault-Tec Workshop are intentional. It does seem wrong, but it is how they appear in the game files.

Brantmeierz (talk) 02:33, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

Eddie Winter mentioned characters[edit source]

I have been trying to go through the Eddie Winter holotapes for mentioned only characters. Could you please review what I have done? Also any advice for the Sal Barsconi page? I've had writers block for some time, despite staring at Montrano, Jr.'s page for inspiration.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:30, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

Automatron[edit source]

I realize that "automatron" isn't a real word, but it is what the game calls all of the robots created from the robot workbench in the game. That's why I felt "automatron" was more appropriate on the Fallout 4 crafting page. --Trifler500 (talk) 01:39, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Space after tags[edit source]

I agree that the tags were unnecessary on the Cryolator page, but I think we should make it standard procedure to put a blank line after tags to visually separate them from the actual data of the page. A lot of wikis do this and I think it makes sense. Thoughts? --Trifler500 (talk) 01:54, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

Well, we could change the guidelines page and only do it henceforth and not make an effort to change everything. --Trifler500 (talk) 02:05, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
All right, but I've never used the Slack and don't know how to access or use it. --Trifler500 (talk) 02:15, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

Registration form[edit source]

Should the registration form have its own page? Some of the descriptions of SPECIAL are different. How should we track the differences?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:56, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Infrastructure damage?[edit source]

I don't understand what you mean regarding "infrastructure damage" on the Happiness page. I've never had infrastructure damage from having my defense equal to the number of settlers and I have done a lot with the settlement building portion of the game. --Trifler500 (talk) 23:20, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

Well, in all of my settlements, the Defense stat changes from red to green when it equals or exceeds the number of settlers. One simple example I have is my Abernathy Farm, with only four people. It has tons of food and I increased the water, but my defense is one turret and one guard post. All stats are green and happiness is at 80%. --Trifler500 (talk) 23:38, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

Fallout Shelter saves[edit source]

I recently had my longtime save of Fallout Shelter completely vanish. Is this a common occurrence? Do you know of a way to get it back? I had almost everything and progressed quite far with the quests. It would be a shame if it was gone forever.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:30, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

Italicizing loading screen hints[edit source]

IIRC it has to do with the way we format our references biased on the Wikipedia Manual of Style. For example, we wouldn't underline a book title, despite it being the grammatically correct thing to do.

Also a bit off topic but why did we move the timeline page? We don't have any other timeline pages on the wiki.--Ant2242 (talk) 19:28, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

So we should be italicizing all the content of the references except the source file link and the notes and few references that are explanations?

How would it "improve search engine optimization?" We only have the one, what else would it be about here? Washing machine timeline?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:42, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Well if that is the case, I believe we should add a section about it on the VA:REF. Or am I wrong again? <mumbles>Seems like a theme today.--Ant2242 (talk) 20:07, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Obscure source blog[edit source]

I would very much like your opinion on a matter of archiving. Until today I thought that a certain blog we used for referencing was lost forever. This blog was originally on the official Bethesda Fallout site, it however vanished when they updated with Fallout 4. Now the blog appears on what I assume is Joel Burgess' personal blog Should we archive the blog and make a page for it on the wiki, or should we only archive it?--Ant2242 (talk) 13:16, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Evan and Winter holo characters[edit source]

I've archived both the references, should I archive the images he's added to imagur? This is a part of Fallout history.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:51, 23 September 2016 (UTC)

Also could you please review my work on the mentioned characters of Eddie Winter holotapes?--Ant2242 (talk) 04:08, 23 September 2016 (UTC) Thank you, yeah his page needs work. Along with the police department pages and Operation Winter's End been working on it concurrently with Kiddie Kingdom.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:21, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

I've added the images to, do you see any I missed?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:32, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

Yup, I want to be as consistent as accurate as possible. Should we upload them here as well?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:50, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

Do you think we could have those pictures here without some sort of legal problem? They have what seems to be personal images of a two real people. Or was them being added to imagur and reddit qualify them as more public images?--Ant2242 (talk)

Category for the civil gov of Mass?[edit source]

Should there be a category for the characters of the civil government of Massachusetts? I know off hand that we have two/three characters that can fit there now, but I am unsure if we already have one.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:01, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

Any idea on what to call it?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:21, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

I made the category and have been systematically creating pages from the police terminals pages. Then I remembered that there is a Mass. State House terminals page as well. When we get to it shouldn't there also be a civil government section somewhere? Maybe a section for the Boston gov. on the Boston page and a section for Mass. on the New England Commonwealth page?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:04, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

Valentine & the investigation[edit source]

I don't believe that Nick Valentine was a BPD detective. I think they brought him in from Chicago. Also wasn't the investigation a federal one? Multiple government agency's were involved including the BADTFL.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:09, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

I crowbared the three holotapes to Nick's page. They still need their dialogue file sources and Nick's could use a review with the new program, but there is enough to reference with.--Ant2242 (talk) 00:16, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

Friends of the lake mission log[edit source]

I believe it to be cut content, have you found it in your playthrough?--Ant2242 (talk) 01:58, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Holos & notes, and more[edit source]

I was thinking, shouldn't we going forward use the world object images as the icon? It would simplify the icon fiasco; no need to add more icons for the wiki when the games themselves would presumably be using the object images as the "icon" going forward.

Also I finished creating the character pages from the Mass civil gov terminals. (barring Graham.) Could you please review them? Although I believe I got everything onto those pages, I don't want to have missed anything.

Oh, and also two more questions; do you remember a "Planes Air?" This company is mentioned on the list of companies but I don't remember where from. And what do you think of the Skylanes manifest characters pages? --Ant2242 (talk) 23:25, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Verify[edit source]

I would like to clarify a few things.

  1. ) Sorry. Adding them all to FO4 was an accident. <facepalm>
  2. ) These aren't necessarily incorrect references. Just not in format and/or ones that I cannot verify. Despite hours of searching on YouTube and hours of in-game mining. ...or maybe because Link Rot.
  3. ) It's better for us to be able to see them in the references as a constant reminder that this reference isn't 100% with our impeccable standards.
  4. ) Also the files themselves could be broken, incomplete, or both at the time of the template's addition...

--Ant2242 (talk) 16:29, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Should we add a template and category for Format in the form of the Verify template?--Ant2242 (talk) 01:20, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

The War Against the Machines[edit source]

Did Tag's bot just remove all the Game and Verify templates? If you don't mind me asking, what is the reasoning behind this?--Ant2242 (talk) 20:34, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Your thoughts and approval[edit source]

Thank you for creating the Project Cobalt page, It's a masterpiece! I would like your opinion on two articles. User:Ant2242/Project Cobalt One minor edits to the Nuka-Cola Corporation. The other a different take on the negotiations section of your Project Cobalt, Rex Macheam's delusional state, and the river in the ride.

My goal here is not to step on your toes nor criticize anyone. Just trying to bring to the table something...--Ant2242 (talk) 00:07, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank you, but I didn't do much to the N.C. Corp. page the re-write is all Tags (the man can only write gold!). IIRC all I did was format two(?) references, cleanup some links, and add two things. One line to the header, which needs review I'm not entirely confident in it (70%), and Nuka-Cola Clear to the list of products.
What do you think about my take on Rex Macheam? Delusions mixed with - completely justified - hostility, stress, threats and, futility combining to make him murder and make his colleagues go to great strain to escape (suicide & the radioactive pipe).

--Ant2242 (talk) 03:05, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Category:Vault-Tec[edit source]

Should we chance it to "Vault-Tec Corporation" also shouldn't there be sub-categories for the dwellers and employees?--Ant2242 (talk) 18:29, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Yea, no problem today.... or the weekend. I was thinking that it should go;

"Vault-Tec Corporation characters"
"Vault dwellers"
"Vault-Tec employees"

Does this sound right in your opinion? Overseers are technically working for the corp. and dwellers are technically affiliated but I'm not entirely sure because there are lots of them after the corp. becomes defunct.

Also did you notice with FO4 its "Vault-Tec Corporation" now? I believe this to be the umbrella corporation, with "Vault-Tec Industries" being their construction arm, but all this is my reasoning. What is your take on it?--Ant2242 (talk) 04:16, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

I take it that way because "Industries" is mentioned in references with construction and in their one advertisement, while "Corporation" is mentioned when referring to the entire company itself. The page itself has all ~5 references linked. The page is simply Golden.--Ant2242 (talk) 06:28, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

I've created the cats. Before I move on, would you say they correct?--Ant2242 (talk) 06:47, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

I believe that I have completed adding the appropriate categories to the pages. However in doing so I noticed that the regional HQ, and Vaults 75 and 95 characters and their categories have yet to be created. I'm almost done with the HQ characters could you please review them?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:06, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

New Curse videos[edit source]

What is exactly our policy on these videos. I know that they are official Curse material, but if our policy is for them to be elsewhere on the page shouldn't they be moved?--Ant2242 (talk) 18:51, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Addition to Ref format[edit source]

Should we add "(name)'s character description" to the character descriptions of FO1 and 2?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:46, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Opinion[edit source]

Hello, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on an article I'm attempting to flesh-out. User:Ant2242/Vault 75‎‎ I hit a bit of a block and was hoping a fresh take would help.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:11, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

I was wondering if I could get your opinion on the article, Lily. Unfortunately, I believe that I ended up rewriting the faction background.--Ant2242 (talk) 03:08, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

Planes Air[edit source]

I was wondering if you remember a company called "Planes Air?" It is listed on the company list page but I cannot find nor remember a mention of it.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:54, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Talk about egg on the face! Thank you! It's on a fuselage at the airport in the Launch trailer.... and it's "Skylanes Air."--Ant2242 (talk) 00:34, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

I was wondering, do you have access to Fallout 4 and Nuka-World dialogue files? I wish to go through two of them, the announcers for Vault-Tec: Among the Stars and World of Refreshment.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:54, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

West Everett Estates[edit source]

I was wondering, would you consider Ron Cobb a ghoul survivor, or just someone whom was suffering radiation poisoning?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:41, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

What do you think about the page so far? Any advice? I'm kinda stuck, like the Vault 75 rewrite.--Ant2242 (talk) 22:46, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Could it be the home of the attendant's mentioned in the holotape?--Ant2242 (talk) 23:49, 3 December 2016 (UTC) I finished it, and added the note section. What do you think? Too much? Also what do you think of the Croups? Does the family need its own category?--Ant2242 (talk) 01:13, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Find the Silver Shroud[edit source]

Are you sure about the transcript change? Are there two versions? I could swear that It was correct before.--Ant2242 (talk) 04:41, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

I have confirmed the former as accurate to my playthroughs. Could there be multiple variations on the holo?--Ant2242 (talk) 21:43, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

Tankbot[edit source]

Would you consider the "Tankbot" a sub-type of Sentrybot?--Ant2242 (talk) 00:28, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Fallout themes page[edit source]

I was thinking of creating a "Themes in the Fallout series" page and wanted to get some input from you before I started. Anything you think I should add or be aware of? Shadowrunner(stuff) 17:56, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

SCYTHE and Atomatoys[edit source]

What do you think of the SCYTHE Program page so far? I am stuck with the timeline of the program, how do you think it went?--Ant2242 (talk) 21:59, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

Singular --> Plural[edit source]

Not here to argue - I just figure that this is a good chance to debate a bit.

What do you think about the way that writing in a singular sense purveys? We deal with a lot of unique content, that denotes its use; so when we deal with a generic item, it has always seemed strange to me that we wouldn't separate our writing style, to reflect the difference, and to avoid possible confusion among our readers.

Conformity has never been something that I believe in, in regards to editing, so that wasn't really an element that I took into consideration with my editing. GarouxBloodline 00:07, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Fair enough. GarouxBloodline 14:19, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

FO4 governmental revelations[edit source]

What is your opinion on the header for the economy section for the USA page? I think that I've gathered enough material to have the entire header rewritten with what we've learned over Fallout 4. Talk:United_States_of_America#Surveillance_and_nationalization --Ant2242 (talk) 05:18, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Template:Platforms[edit source]

Do you know how to update this template?--Ant2242 (talk) 14:12, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Thank you!! I also noticed a similar problem in Template:Games.

What do you think of Breakheart Banks so far? Do you think that the ship cabin is a part of it? How about Chestnut Hillock Reservoir?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:49, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Skeleton scenes[edit source]

Because unlike any game before it Fallout 4 is the first to include lore accurate skeleton scenes.

Take Vault 75 for instance, to name a few - there is a Army skeleton handcuffed in the kitchen, several Vault-Tec scientist skeletons dead in the halls, and a scientist skeleton fallen from a locker in the changing room. This helps paint a picture for Vault 75. Namely that the children overpowered the adults, interrogated them and killed them before leaving. Been trying to work it into a rewrite of Vault 75 (User:Ant2242/Vault_75) but I have been staring at the damn thing for months! :-(

Another example is those unmarked APC locations, the one at Sanctuary Lake, the one with the power armor on the hill by West Everett Estates, or the one with the tank. (The links are the guide names.)

Speaking of West Everett, a lot of those skeletons are either the construction crew or possibly the Tourniquists and survivors of the hospital themselves.

--Ant2242 (talk) 23:27, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Platform template[edit source]

Thank you! Could you please take a look at the Games template as well. We are missing the Contraptions Workshop and Vault-Tec Workshop images.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:27, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Your input please[edit source]

What do you think about the story of "Kim Wu"? I believe that I got all of it together correctly (barring the usual grammar and what have you), but a fresh pair of eyes are what's really needed. Did I accidentally omit something or draw some sort of conclusion somewhere?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:18, 7 April 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing the VT rep page! Could you also please look at Betsy and Morton?--Ant2242 (talk) 18:36, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

BoS elder robes[edit source]

Should they be on the scribe robe overview page?--Ant2242 (talk) 22:28, 13 April 2017 (UTC) Nvm, found the correct overview.--Ant2242 (talk) 22:28, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Tamplate fidgeting...[edit source]

Should we change the "GECK ID" parameters in the templates to "Editor ID"? This would remove the redirects.--Ant2242 (talk) 11:42, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

Caravan distress frequency and Jezebel's interview[edit source]

Because it isn't actually part of the transcription. It's the subtitle, which may or may not be correct. In any case, the audio files are described in the header.--Ant2242 (talk) 02:06, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

It's not actually within the spoken dialogue of the file. It's not whether or not that its not the correct character speaking.

It's not? could have sworn so... perhaps I'm thinking of the FO3 and NV audio holotapes...--Ant2242 (talk) 02:40, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

The problem is that those titles aren't actually part of the dialogue. If we were to add them within the transcript template then are we not adding it into the ingame source text?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:53, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Why would we need to link every pronoun? It's a conversation between two individuals. Also shouldn't we be adding the audio to the audio files?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:15, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

I have changed the Jezebel interview. Is this more of what you are thinking? Also shouldn't we can add the audio to the page as well?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:39, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

PPS Shouldn't we clarify what the "Transcript" template is actually for and how to properly use it?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:39, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

If we're going to add an exception to the "Transcript" template then we need to clarify what and where they will be. I've drawn this up. What do you think?

Template for transcripts – literal quotes of ingame sources, except if the holodisks are of a conversation. For example, this includes the actual text of notes, terminals or holodisks.
If the holodisks are of a conversation, then the speakers – if identified – will be identified by their presented (in-game) title to the left of the spoken dialogue followed by a semicolon.

--Ant2242 (talk) 04:02, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I've updated the template.

Now for the audio, its something that needs to be done before too much time has passed. Similar to the FO1/2/Tactics characters and creatures data. How many more years until the people can be found with the data on hand? Time is not our friend in this case.

The best example is the FO1/2 characters data project I had going for a while. I still have the program and the games on my old computer. Unable to acquire the proto ids the project ground to a halt, then (years later) I had to put it in storage. I plan on someday just going one by one and adding the data to the wiki before throwing it away. Unfortunately that's not going to be any time soon.

But... anyway back to the audio. It can be done, and I attempted to get the ball rolling on that project. However I was unable to figure out how to merge several lines together. They are still here on the wiki somewhere.

As for right now I plan on acquiring and adding as many FO4 dialogue files to the wiki and reviewing the audio holotapes. This is something that I know I can mostly do and its a project that's mostly completed (see: User:Ant2242/to_do_list).

PS Also some of the text holos/notes are not on the wiki either. Since we don't have the Raw game data page for it (they were also great for finding cut content) they are also going unfilled. I would just write in the text but that wouldn't be professional. As they would inevitably end up being inaccurate. --Ant2242 (talk) 19:19, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Legion's Exterminated Tribes[edit source]

The Ridgers tribe, the very first tribe that Caesar conquered, was completely exterminated down to the last man, woman and child without any exceptions due to their refusal to surrender whereas another unnamed tribe was exterminated sometime after Caesar's conquest of the Grand Canyon and its tribes prior to the First Battle of Hoover Dam whilst the Twin Mothers tribe was exterminated by Legate Lanius due to Caesar having deemed them unworthy of assimilation along with four other unnamed tribes for reasons unknown after the First Battle of Hoover Dam. Note that these are the tribes that were KNOWN to have been exterminated as there could very well have been other tribes that suffered the same fate. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by Theatlascorporation (talkcontribs). Hanlon[edit source]

Hanlon's statement merely means that he's tired of seeing good NCR men and women die in a war he believes will never end and for a cause that he feels isn't worth fighting for. The NCR is by no means "overstretched" in the Mojave that particular misconception is the direct result of General Oliver massing troops and resources at Hoover Dam and Camp McCarran at the expense of screwing over every other NCR military outpost in the region. --TheAtlasCorporation

NCR Military Size[edit source]

I don't know, tens of thousands just seems too small though. Hundreds of thousands is more accurate for a variety of reasons, chief among them being that the NCR's overall population is easily in the millions by 2281. Consider this: the NCR's 2241 population was well over 700,000+ citizens (1 million+ people overall if one throws in transients and non-citizens) and would have been more than able to support a standing army consisting of tens of thousands of troops (probably 30,000-50,000). 40 years later the NCR could easily have an overall population between 2.5 million and 5 million each of which could support either a 350,000-strong (100,000 in active service, 250,000 in reserve) or 800,000-strong (150,000 in active service, 650,000 in reserve) military respectively. In either case the NCR Army has hundreds of thousands of soldiers at its disposal, especially given that even the most demeaning description of the Republic's military will ALWAYS describe it as massive on an unbelievable scale. Penny for your thoughts?

Side Note: don't worry, I'm not going to edit either the size of the NCR population or the NCR Army without your approval first :)---TheAtlasCorporation

Edgar Swann and Ref Format[edit source]

Kas, I love what you've done with the pages. Could you please flesh out the part about the raiders whom barricaded the park for swan and the other notes scenes.

Also should that reference colbox be included in the VA:REF? Should we ask around about it first? --Ant2242 (talk) 00:21, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Add-ons in "appearances"[edit source]

If we really need to specify which game each add-on is in on every page (I don't see why, since the add-on page would say), then the wording needs to be changed. "Vault 118 appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor" sounds like a run-on sentence. A better alternative would be "Vault 118 appears only in Fallout 4's Far Harbor add-on." Vader0629 (talk) 18:14, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Chinese activities in the east[edit source]

Recently I have compiled references for and touched up the articles Wan Yang (and the Velvet Curtain story-line), and Mama Dolce (and the Chinese DC intelligence/counter-intelligence/sabotage story-line). These articles along with the LOB Enterprises article paints a particularly interesting, yet lesser known aspect of Fallout lore.

I was wondering what your take on the subject is. I need a second opinion before proceeding. Particularly in the case with the People's Bank of Point Lookout's affiliations and what the recordings could mean.--Ant2242 (talk) 06:07, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

Mirelurk[edit source]

Do you remember where the term "Swamplurk" comes from? The page says the game names them "Mirelurk," could it be the guide(s)?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:32, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

I think that we should at least add the Verify tag until we are able to check the guide(s). Also the "name" section to the creature infobox should be reviewed with in-game data. What do you think of the separation so far? Should there be a sub page for the Mirelurk Kings?--Ant2242 (talk) 02:59, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

True. Do you think that it is possible to make the section more akin to the "Lobster" Mirelurk section? Or do we need to wait until there is more information?--Ant2242 (talk) 03:29, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

505 Server Error[edit source]
