Go ahead, I fixed it on my profile. --Saphireking65 06:45, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

I don't see what's wrong with the picture.

Achievement Boosting

Both Scarface and I have noticed that Falloutexpert is achievement boosting.
See for yourself. Yes Man default.png 10:53, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

So, you banned and blocked me? but here's the thing: You claimed to have reinstated my ability to chat, yet I wake up the morning you banned me and see that I'm blocked from chat BEFORE that nonsense with the blog, so I look in your talk page to find a message from scar, claim that un-banning me was in "bad taste" and that I spammed (four links, OMG THE SKY IS FALLING!) Please, if I really wanted to spam I would sign out and flood his user page, his blog, all that jazz, to the point where four links is a wayward ad, but then again, what would i gain from spamming? Nothing, that's what. And that's motivating enough for me to NOT do it :) Then I look on his talk page and find no message of you giving him the green light.

Back to it. He also goes on to say that "...It really lessens [stop, I think he means his] authority..." But aren't you above him as an admin? Do you REALLY have to take directives from him when you can just cripple his ability as chat "moderator"? So, the question is: did you give him the green light? or did he ban me out of spite or mistrust? If the latter is correct, then might I ask you: Is that punishable?

Oh, and secondly, Carl is with me on the issue of chatmods, you've seen his comment, haven't you? If not, go look on my most recent blog where, contrary to what you think, I WASN'T "taking a dig" at anyone. I didn't say which admin for fear of reprisal. And yes I DID appreciate you un-banning me, and that lash-out at GhostAvatar was never intended to be intimidating. I just wanna do my job of correcting grammatical errors, etc.

I'm a terrible orator. Never really was a "people person".

On a side note, I don't intend, nor do I expect to convince anyone with this miserable excuse for a message. It will probably cause me more trouble. -Trevor The Scout 12:16, August 6, 2011 (UTC) (Yeah, fell free to block that too.)

Ban circumvention

Trevor The Scout seems to be circumventing their ban as the anon IP User:Great_MaraUser talk:Great_Mara 06:23, August 7, 2011 (UTC)

Permanent chatban?

Is that the case? or does it end? Yes I've learned my lesson. If that is the case, any chance I could work for it? If that's possible what do you have in mind?

I go by the fact that the full proper name is Stealth Boy 3001. Hence why I have the bot cap it for me. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 00:16, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

That post was from before the block. And therefore irrelevant to me. But I really have to ask you this: Do you have any concept of privacy?

Let it go please.

Jesus H Christ on stilts! That was from earlier this morning because I thought I wasn't able to post a blog. Funny thing was, about 15 minutes later my blog posts show up. so how about we just forget it all? The block's expired, I'm back, I've learned my lesson. Please, leave me alone.

I agree, everything I have seen of them is nothing but a wise ass trouble maker, that clearly falls under disruption to the site in my books as there is no sign showing of wanting to improve. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 11:50, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Trevor and my theory.

I understand how my message can be misunderstood and partly what I said is how I feel about most of the people on the vault. what I'm trying to say is when I get in from a long and busy days work and check out the latest forums and see petty arguments, or smart arses who think that because they've either attempted to say something funny or seen a grammatical flaw in someone's comment that they are now an up and coming Einstein, and they then feel shocked when everyone else on the Wikia will not bow down to them but instead act exactly the same, later they hypocritically say to people that they are the arrogant ones who can not accept when they are wrong.

any examples I can think of at this moment would be: "Fallout 1 and two were the best, Bethesda sucks balls, interplay wins every-time." "Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the best, Interplay sucks balls, Bethesda wins every-time." those comment is not from a specific persons but they are generally the range of comments coming from most people on this Wikia. I realise that there are still allot of people that do not do this but these people still attempt to prove superiority over what they call "Trolls" and "annons" by trying to act smart. In my opinion it's pathetic. I see that these are merly my perseptions of my experience on the Vault but surely it's not that hard to see it. I would also like to add that any attempt to reason with the aformentioned poeple is a vein attempt and will only cause yet another argument and personality bashing. Iv'e been on the vault chat several times and started a discussion about a topic with an opinion of a subject that someone else highly disagreed with, and instesd of questioning my opinion they checked out my user page and try to attack me personally. on many other wikias the vault is known to be the most argumentative and most childish, and sometime's it annoys me to think I may be surrounded by three year olds.

Sorry if this message has offended anyone, It is just my opinion.

Don't worry I enjoyed what you said and in no way thought of it as a rant, it also made me think allot about other peoples stresses. I'd like to note I actually have no Idea how I got dragged into this Trevor thing. I think it is because I was the only person that partly agreed with his user blog so he kind of latched on to me from there. from what I have seen and what he has sent to me he seems al-right but there are two vital flaws I have noticed he comes across arrogant and nasty and he seems to be a bit immature. of course I didn't want to choose sides generally so I continued communication with him but also attempted to help him come across as a better person towards people and possibly show to people that he is a good person. He obviously realises that people are very outspoken on the Vault and he tried to join in with his own opinion (his chat moderators blog) but sometimes there are ways of going about a situation and his was the wrong one. In saying what you have said it is sad to point out that what people on this Wikia claim to be so passionate about actually shows them out to be childish and bigoted in their opinions. All in all I like you and your opinions and I feel you are doing a great job on the Vault as an admin. Continue making this little wonder of information a great place.

Ok. Feel free to fix the double mention in the way you feel is best. Just be aware that there is a wasteland version of the armor with a more reasonable amount of HP that is considered cut content. Chatmod guidelines

There is no guidelines, only the chat rules. Personally I would say that the Admin guidelines should also apply towards chat mods. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:50, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I already am and I could,nt send an administrator a message during the ban to discuss it so I'm taking the liberty upon myself to do it now if you don't mind.

Christ I forgot to sign my post again and I apologize for that but I don't know how to do that so would you kindly enlighten me how to cause quite frankly I do not know how to.

Thanks for the tip and the information I hope it will make me a better editor overall--Tim to the Adams 05:21, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Fallout Answers

Hello Clyde :)

You may have heard that The Vault's sister site, Fallout Answers, recently opted for Wikia to initiate an IP block, effectively blocking all IP addresses from editing pages for at least two weeks. In the time that I and the bureaucrat have, we would like to add upon the team over on the sister site.

At the moment, there are only two users with administrative privileges who regularly are online. In order to make the site more effective and efficient, I have been tasked with finding trusted users that can take some time (maybe 5-10 minutes) from their normal Wikia schedule to keep an eye on the site from time to time. This will potentially cut down on site traffic and allow "real" questions to be asked and answered in more depth. Through my past interactions with you, I feel that the bureaucrat and I can trust you with administrative privileges.

If you feel comfortable joining the team, please leave a message on my talk page and let me know your decision. Best regards, Kastera (talk) 16:00, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

It's nothing too tough. All you've got to do is delete "bad" questions when you see them, block any hecklers and answer the occasional question. It may help to read the policies and guidelines first. They're essentially The Vaults' guidelines, but with some tweaks. However, you won't be an admin until Monday or Tuesday. The bureaucrat has some business he needs to do and he won't be in until the start of the week. You could take the time to familiarize yourself with the site though :).

Trevor the Scout

I was just curious, why did you extend Trevor's block from one month to three? --Kris User Hola.jpg 12:08, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • I really think this block extension is over the top. A month is more than enough. I had seen his insult just before Kris blocked him and was thinking about a 2-weeks block or so, not more. The one he adressed (very probably Tezzla) is really bugging the hell out of everyone (especially Fallout Answers with spamming it with thousands of pages). Now Tezzla's laughing a bit about it he got Trevor that 3 months block, while he effectively gets hardly any punishment and that annoys me. He's seeing his actions have effect and we don't want that I think. I request it to be reverted to a month's block or even 2 weeks. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:54, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
  • I couldn't find the block evasion in his history, that was new for me. Well, let's just set it to a month I think. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 23:06, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Is there a specific reason you want the paragraph that way? I would like to know if my edit broke some rule of formatting, because I believe it to be gramatically correct. AFollower 03:32, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Clyde :). I know that, mayve you should see Crazy's page if you hadn't. I thought that I had acceptable proof because of the similarity due to the information on the Lincoln's repeater page, but Sam and Garoux disagreed. It all came down to the caliber in the end. Either way, it's all sorted now, and thanks for the note. TheGuardianCalligraphy.pngGuardianoftheWastesTag.png

Understood. I will remember that for next time. My main focus at the moment had been to get rid of speculation. ;) Have a nice day. Skål! 04:56, September 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, Clyde

DarthOrc and I are having a little dispute over a subject and I'd like to ask you to voice your opinion in it. The subject at hand is whether or not the Sink Central Intelligence Unit should be considered a 'Notable Repair expert' on the Repair page. If you look at our conversation on our talk pages, I think you'll be able to figure out our personal views. Thanks, Kastera (talk) 05:16, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

Apologies if removing sections from the challenge infoboxes was in error. I was attempting to bring them in line with existing challenge pages (e.g. More Energetic), which did not list the particular bits I took out. Do challenges without player-altering benefits have base ids to list? --Venato 09:52, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

If nothing else, I gather that removing the thoroughly unused quest1 = bit was, in fact, appropriate. Either way, apologies again for the extra work of sticking the base id bit back in. --Venato 10:08, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Chat rules

I'd say leave it as Cartman worded it, or according to your explanation, remove it entirely. Cursing in itself is allowed as all Fallout gamers include them and are aimed at mature people, and so should the wiki be. Swearing in itself isn't bannable, and as both insulting and spamming is included in some of the other rules, I think we should just let this one go and remove it. Hugs MadeMan2.png "Say 'ello to my little friend!"

GhostAvatar also agrees with me on the issue. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 22:07, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

I apologize for my rash action, i did not take the time to look at your user page, or see that you were an admin, sometimes when i see a name that i haven't seen before i automatically think new user, and when i see them remove content i think new user who doesn't know what he/she is doing, nothing personal against you. I don't mean to do it sometimes, but i do. ---bleep196- 02:28, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Page re-arrangement.

Well I added more rudimentary information, just like the Shishkebab, so there shouldn't be anything obvious, only the basic information. I also moved the Sections around so the page appears less empty. It looks pretty good, in my opinion. --Felix BrehhUser talk:Felix Brehh 01:00, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

It seems we have ourselves a vandal. Skål! 20:31, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

No worries! It seems we have another possible one though.... Skål! 20:40, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know about those agreements, was before my time I think. I go more or less by the blocking rules on the admin policy page, 3 days for a first offense. If you had not blocked him, I was even considering a weeks block. Two edits, two vandals ones. He annoyed me with that, nothing but bad intentions. Video Removals

Hi, you removed a couple videos from my user page earlier today and I just wan't to ask a few questions. Though I understand this may have just been 3 seconds out of your day, and that you have no idea what I'm talking about.

You ask I add them following the video policy, and I think I did that right...though that could be the problem. I read through the policy link you gave me, and from what I could gather it's just follow the intructions after selecting the video tab under "Add features and media." And like I said, I'm fairly certain that I did that correctly. It could have been me just leaving out a major step, or it could have just been something simple like adding too many videos; I don't what it was though.

Any help you could give would be appreciated, as I would like to keep from violating the rules in the future.

Thanks, XxSick DemonxX 05:37, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Promotional crossover content

Hello, Kingclyde. Can you please look at this forum topic? Your opinion would be highly appreciated. veryblackraven 07:22, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Hi there. I had a concern about affiliation. I was under the impression the Vault guide and a couple other admins that you cannot be affiliated with yourself but only another group, faction, etc. HighFiveBearLeft.pngHighFiveBearRight.png 22:08, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Faction info

Direct from the {{Infobox character}} - 'affiliation: Organizations/towns/other characters this character is affiliated with.' So I read that as lore should be placed here (although the GECK can be a good source of info). Also, by the very definition of the word affiliation, himself doesn't really count. The reason it exists on most pages, is because people feel that this parameter need to be filled with something regardless, when it isn't actually a required field. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 22:20, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Battle rifle talk page note

I wold appreciate it if you would take a look at the talk page for the battle rifle. I left two notes there, one prior to your recent edit, explaining my change of the magazine feed style to "clip-fed.' My rationale, as well as supporting US Army documentation is explained in detail. After a reasonable amount of time I intend to change the working back to "en-bloc clip-fed" or some such, but I wished to you to have the opportunity to see my supporting references and discuss this with me before I do it. To give you some context here, I'm a former US Marine and amatuer firearms historian, gunsmith and collector. The phrase I used is the only phrase generally accepted to describe the magazine feed system on a weapon such as this. Thanks for your time, and I sincerely mean no disrespect to you or your knowledge.--The Gunny 20:09, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Battle rifle overlinking

Hello, I've noticed you restored a link to the Gun Runners addon in that page. I removed it because it was already linked in the text, so the new link seemed unnecessary. Well you're an admin so I guess you know better, but could you give me a clarification on that? :O Thanks and toodles! Limmiegirl 03:40, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for clarifying :) Limmiegirl 03:51, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • I apologize, i just removed an overdue tag because it had a platforms tag on it, but i also didn't look close at the bug itself, it shouldn't have been there in the first place because it was a clipping/graphic glitch, and according to the project guidelines those type of bugs should not be mentioned unless they interfere with gameplay, so that was a my bad moment. ---bleep196- 13:11, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Your question

While we'd love for everyone to simply move on to the new Vault, we won't be stopping anyone who decides to continue to work on the Wikia wiki. Ausir 12:21, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Porting a wiki from Wikia is quite a hassle, so for now Curse is generally doing that only if it's a major wiki. I can ask, but not sure if my boss will be interested in doing that with Wolfenstein. Ausir 11:54, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
I think that's something for the remaining community there to decide for themselves. Ausir 18:17, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Bureaucrats and Wikia staff. Given the situation, the latter are likely going to be the ones appointing new bureaucrats. Ausir 02:13, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

You will simply need to set up a new account for chat, it's a seperate site for now. It doesn't take long, so don't worry. My profile pageCome and say hello 11:12, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

Yep, what he said. — User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 13:17, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Hey I had a general question

Yeah, I have seen the general chatter over on Wikia on the subject, I have just chosen not to say anything as expressing any kind of opinion tends to get taken out of context. This is just another one of those un-written rules that have been made up out of thin air and actually has no relevance. The majority of the page are simple copy and paste jobs from the design documents, simply done for quick implementation of the page. However there is nothing preventing a good editorial and correcting the grammar, spelling or sentence structure. If you want a good example of how a page should be done, take a look at Bear (character). User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 20:42, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
