Re: Category page changes

It's a sort key, I add. This only has to be done with FO1 categories. (And nobody really cares, actually. ;) As all FO1 categories don't use "1" in their name, and there are many of them, it's not a good idea to put the "1" in their name, and also contradicts this wiki's history, somehow, its established naming conventions and such.

But adding this bit as sort key suffices completely. You see the effect when taking a look into the parent category. Before I made the changes, the FO1 CATs were all sorted behind FO3. As long as this makes sense for games that don't use simply a number, that's okay. But I think, the four base games should be listed chronologically. With this key, they all come first.

(If you were an admin or moderator, I probably even wouldn't notice. But as you are not, your edits appear as "unpatrolled" on the recent changes (red exclamation mark – nobody has taken a look into it) – and I see one of my tasks here to take care of these. So I take a look into your edit, "patrol" it, and do some changes if I see it necessary. If they already were patrolled, I would notice this only, when coincidentally stumbling into the parent category one day – as said, nobody really cares about this. ;) -- UserCCCSig.png -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 20:57, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Reverted edits to Marcus

Hello Vader0629, and first of all thank you for all of your awesome editing lately! It's nice patrolling the recent changes and seeing all the content you're contributing. I did however, revert two consecutive edits you had made to the Marcus page, and I just wanted to let you know my reasoning. Apart from raw infobox data and the "Appearances" section of pages, article content is written from a lore standpoint as opposed to a real-world one when referencing locations/dates/etc. meaning that the locations and in-game years are used to describe a character rather than their game of appearance. Not all pages (especially those from older games) are written in that way, but that's more a matter of them not being revised as much as more fleshed-out modern articles. Thank you, and keep up the good work. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Brantmeierz (TalkContributions) 00:08, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

I appreciate your understanding, and I do get your argument for the change. I don't think we have any formal policy, so I brought the issue up for discussion with the other admins. I'll let you know what the result is. Brantmeierz (TalkContributions) 00:55, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Wondering about wandering …

Hi. So you think it should have been "wandering"

  • Can be baught from Graham while one wanders around Appalachia?
  • Can be baught from Graham who wonders around Appalachia?
  • Can be baught from Graham who resides in the wandering Appalachia (as in Mortal Engines?)

If it's one of the first two (I guess, the second) then why not simply omit "wandering"? ;) -- UserCCCSig.png -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 09:49, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
