J-Tagging

I know what save editing is, but what is J-Tagging? --Kris User Hola.jpg

Vault Freak- Who is this?

According to the pages history it was Deadlykris. JaspertheViking :D? 21:12, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Vault Freak- Thank you.

Heh oops I almost always catch it when I forget to sign my posts... ~~~~ but I didn't that time. You were asking about his fancy sig. See User:JASPER42/Sig and User:JASPER42/Sig2 to see how he did it. Don't edit those pages though. --Kris User Hola.jpg 21:31, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

OIC ok thanks for the info. --Kris User Hola.jpg 01:14, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Sig.

You have to make two pages (I've done it for you);
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User:Vault_Freak/Sig (You edit this one if you want to change how your sig looks)
and
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User:Vault_Freak/Sig2 (don't edit this one, it's used to link when you sign). I have put my data (with the links edited to yours) on these pages, all you need to do is go to the first link, edit the page and go in to source mode. Then change this

Pvt.JASPER42]] [[User Talk:JASPER42|Lies, lies, lies
So the text and colors suit you.

Then go to your preferences and paste this:
TheVaultFreak, Hey! in to the Signature box and tick the box under it. Now when you type four tidels (~) it will come out as a fancy sig.
Hope this has helped if not I'll try to simplify it a bit.

Oh and...

Look on my talk page, metalspork helped my with mine so she may have explained it better than I have.

JaspertheViking :D? 21:40, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

For what it's worth, I learned how to do the fancy sigs from looking at JASPER42's sig. I did make some modifications; mine's not as fancy, and I had to make a third page to get it to not spill all the code into the page (it kept adding SUBST into the sig field when I didn't want it to SUBST it, I just wanted it to use the text as written). SUBST is short for substitute, and it's a template command that inserts the contents of a template into a page when you save it. So I had the ton of code that I used to make my sig, rather than the nice neat {{User:Deadlykris/Sig2}}. So I made User:Deadlykris/Sig1 to get around that. Not sure how JASPER42 got around it. --Kris User Hola.jpg 22:06, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Colour

You can change the colour if you want too.
If you change the bit between the # and the ; in color:#17DF11; then the colour will change. To find out what values you need to put in go to a website that shows them.
I can't remember what i used but this one should work.

JaspertheViking :D?

Thanks, happy to help. If you need help with anything else, I'll try to lend a hand.

The Roach King's throne

Near as I can tell, nothing like what you mentioned got added to the page recently. Feel free to add it. --Kris User Hola.jpg 21:50, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

Actually you made that edit to the The Roach King rather than The Roach King's throne. It should go on the page for the location, not the NPC. I'll go ahead and move it. --Kris User Hola.jpg 21:55, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
I got it all taken care of, also it occurs to me that it's a bug, not a note, so I adjusted the page to reflect that. I also moved a couple other notes to the location page since they belong there. --Kris User Hola.jpg 22:00, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

Infoboxes

I dunno what you mean. --Kris User Hola.jpg 01:35, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

Dunno. Porter would know, Ausir probably would too, possibly other admins, but I don't know. --Kris User Hola.jpg 01:39, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
Because the Wikia standard infoboxes are crap. We've tailor-made our own that work nicely. Nitty Tok. 14:52, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
