Infobox weapon[edit source]

That infobox is set not to resize images because most of the weapon images for the older games are smaller than our default image size (and hence would be enlarged/pixelated if the image was resized). If you do need resizing on certain pages, simply add |px =240x200px to the infobox there. -- Porter21 (talk) 10:46, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Re:(Mariposa) super mutant[edit source]

I always thought that this is logical. In recent articles about super mutants in F:NV most super mutant (except 1?) has specified that they come from Mariposa, then i think, why the rest of mutants from F1/F2/F:T can't have? Also, all humans from F3/F:NV in "race" have detail about it, "Caucasian", "Hispanic" etc. --Languorous_Maiar 16:48, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

They are first generation Mariposa mutants (and besides, second generation mutants are also from Mariposa, as they were created when Enclave discovered Mariposa). Tactics takes place before Enclave's excavation of Mariposa, though, so they are all definitely 1st generation Mariposa mutants. Ausir(talk) 07:44, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Pip-boy[edit source]

I understand that this item pertains to fallout, but the article clearly states that this item is present in team fortress 2, not fallout. Therefore, it is not a fallout item but is based on a fallout item. Perhaps it would be better if this item were listed in the "pip-boy" article instead of it's own article.(Nemerian 11:05, October 24, 2011 (UTC))

I thought that they should go into the Fallout: New Vegas promotional items article personally. My profile pageCome and say hello 11:47, October 24, 2011 (UTC)
Well, that is a very valid point. I hadn't considered that :). Anyway, I looked at the forum, and it loks like it will be successful, so good luck ;). My profile pageCome and say hello

Developers[edit source]

I've been wondering for quite a while now if you work with some of these developers, because you always manage to get pictures where no one else can. I know you live in the Ukraine, but it's still possible. My profile pageCome and say hello 11:47, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Well, it sounds like you are being modest to me. I know one thing is certain, and that is that if you didn't do them, no one else would. So, thanks I guess :). My profile pageCome and say hello

Pictures[edit source]

Thanks for telling me about the pictures, I should have looked at the policies closer. HighFiveBearLeft.pngHighFiveBearRight.png 21:44, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

New infobox & images[edit source]

"image=empty" doesn't work with the new infoboxes (setting anything to "empty" doesn't work, to be precise); more details can be found in Forum:New infoboxes#Changes for editors. You can hide the upload button by setting image to "@hide", but I don't see why you'd want to do that if you're tagging the page with {{image needed}} anyway :) -- Porter21 (talk) 13:24, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

No problem :) We've been using the old infoboxes for so long that it takes some time to get used to the new ones. -- Porter21 (talk) 13:31, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Harold (Fallout Tactics)[edit source]

Indeed, looks like despite all the differences the FOT version of Harold was in fact intended to be the Harold, so the articles probably need to be merged. Ausir 17:05, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Current forum discussions[edit source]

Heven't seen you here for some time, but...[edit source]

There is currently a forum on Article Notability that you might want to chip in on. I think your opinion will be the most important out of all of us. κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 23:02, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Possible Van Burren concept art[edit source]

I think it is worth while adding it in, but it would be even better if we contact them and get confirmation that they was official VB concept art and not his own interpretation. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 19:42, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Very nice indeed and more than I was expecting as a response. I am actually surprised he gave a description of the images and the cues for the image designs. But I think we can safely say they are VB concept art, no matter how early in the development stage it was. And the forum thread will make a good reference source. Wikification[edit source]

Not at all, go ahead :) Tagaziel 16:17, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Michael Dean[edit source]

Hey Veryblackraven, great work on the Brotherhood of Steel pages, content and images. It's pretty valuable stuff and I'm using it over at Nukapedia as well, giving you credit of course. I owe you one for that. Noticed you uploaded a new image of Michael Dean. But that's not Michael Dean, it's 'The Fonz' from the TV series 'Happy Days' back in the 80ties. You can see him on the pic in the upper left. Probably before your time then eh? Jspoel

Your notes[edit source]

Hey VBR. I asked Marshall Vandruff about the images of the Molechs and Gehennas, after you posted them in your notes for verification.

Yes, I did those images. They were for Josh Sawyer at Interplay just before it shut down, which I hope was not my fault. I still have the originals. They were in my sketchbook.

I hope this clears it up. Thanks for asking.

Marshall

I've recently come upon two pieces of concept art from Interplay's Fallout 3 project (codename Van Buren) that have been, apparently by mistake, credited to Chris Applehans. However, these images (both dated August 22nd, 2003) bear your name on them:

FOT CA[edit source]

That is a very, very good catch, good sir! Tagaziel (talk) 07:54, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Attribution policy[edit source]

Since it became clear we require a clear attribution policy, I've posted a proposal in the forum. Your input is necessary! Tagaziel (talk) 11:27, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

PnP[edit source]

I believe I had deleted them because they were both mostly empty, and because they were Glutton Creeper employees. Like, we don't have anything for the Lionheart developers, despite Lionheart having Fallout similarities. I'd only keep the Glutton Creeper employees if you can actually fill out all the info for the page, because I'm reasonably sure that nobody knows who these people are. Bugs[edit source]

Hey Raven, can you do me a favor and make a list of the bugs you encountered? I want to make a good report for Ben to submit to the techromancers. Tagaziel (talk) 17:58, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Great job on restoring the blog posts! Thanks for your work. VaultAusir (talk) 20:10, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Marking non-confirmed stuff[edit source]

I'm experimenting with an alternate method for marking stuff that's not been confirmed by primary sources. What do you think? Tagaziel (talk) 12:41, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Table widths[edit source]

Recently there are some sort of error(s) with the table widths. One where the table is squished together and the other here it is stretched. I don't recall this error(s) being around before the wiki update. Do you have any idea of what could cause this?--Ant2242 (talk) 19:58, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Other media[edit source]

Hey Raven, did you discuss the importing of this article with Mr Henshaw? Or is it based entirely on pre-existing fragments of text on The Vault? I'm not particularly eager to have yet another instance of drama explode. this is supposed to be a neat hobby, not a stressful occupation. :(

If it's a straight-forward import, I strongly suggest writing the article from scratch, using only the bare structure. We can also slap an attribution tag on the top, to show that we are aren't belligerent and won't censor all references to other sites. Because that's just sad and pathetic. :P Tagaziel (talk) 18:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi VeryBlackRaven.
Just for the record I don't require preauthorisation to reuse my work when its made available under the CC-BY-SA license, as long as the terms of the license are met. Unless I've marked an item otherwise you can presume that Nukapedias offer of CC-BY-SA is valid.
I would however have to insist that when the The Vault uses content create by myself for Nukapedia and reused under this license, that The Vault in turn attributes as per the requirements demanded of Nukapedia by Tagaziel. That would mean an appropriate template with appropriate links to the source, and the Nukapedia logo.
As long as those requirements are met, there are no dramas to be had. -Agent C. 81.155.245.196 21:24, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
Thats Ok, I'm not offended. Assume good faith is the primary directive of both of our wikis after all, and you make a good faith attempt to attribute correctly 81.155.245.196 23:40, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

I'm surprised someone assumed good faith. The last time I checked, said user accused me of criminal conduct (fraud) publicly. Anyway Raven, that's a sound step you've made. Sorry if I sounded a bit rash or annoyed, but I really am tired of the drama. Tagaziel (talk) 23:59, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Fallout Official Survival Guide[edit source]

I've tried. Unfortunately this is the message; "This file is bigger than the server is configured to allow." --Ant2242 (talk) 02:32, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Looks good, Raven! I'm always excited to learn new stuff about this franchise, so my EXCITATION may be taking the beter of me, though. ;) Tagaziel (talk) 08:25, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

The file I also have is 13.2 MB and no its quality is lacking.--Ant2242 (talk) 15:17, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

One Woman's Path Through the Desert[edit source]

Maybe we should do something like this?

Ex.

===Day 58===
'''31 January, 93 days to go'''

=Day 58=
===31 January, 93 days to go===

Archetypes[edit source]

That's a great idea! Tell you the truth, something like that popped into my mind each time I went through the guide, but I never actually implemented it. Guess we know who has the better memory. ;) Tagaziel (talk) 17:37, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

I believe that there are also prefab in the early FO3 guides as well as an end story.--Ant2242 (talk) 17:59, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

The Fallout 3 Official Game Guide Collector's Edition Section 8 p.465-496. Section 8 "Part 1: Post-Apocalyptic Musings" has the concept art and commentary and Section 8 "Part 2: Tall Tales from the Capital Wasteland" has the prefab characters and post game Moira Brown terminal entry. This entire section may need to be added to the wiki.--Ant2242 (talk) 23:21, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

No problem, I'll add what I can soon.--Ant2242 (talk) 13:57, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Yes, that Guide creation blog is referring to the sections and no the developers blog is slightly different from the Guide section.--Ant2242 (talk) 18:49, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

Concerning attribution and plagiarism[edit source]

I have made a forum to discuss cooperation between The Vault and Nukapedia on forming a common attribution policy as well as a policy regarding the punishment of plagiarism. I actually think that it would be best to just re-add all the dialogue (and message files) to verify that they are correct and original.--Ant2242 (talk) 11:57, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Thank You!!! Unfortunately I will have to clean up the wikification later, right now Fallout 4 gets all attention on deck. Can't really have exceptions night now. Also I don't understand what you mean with MS08.txt.--Ant2242 (talk) 22:23, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
