Utility Protectron is a robot in Fallout 4.

Background

Main article: Protectron

The Utility line of robots was designed by RobCo to address shortages in cheap labor across the United States, allowing companies to replace human employees with robotic equivalents. Countless versions were created for the market, with great variation in terms of hardware, firmware, and appearance. The construction variant boasts a hardened shell, protected dome, floodlights and a pair of loader arms. Some models include an internalized nailgun.

Characteristics

The humble Protectron is a capable combatant thanks to a combination of good armor plating, weapons, and special attacks. It is a capable ranged combatant, but suffers somewhat in melee combat. Its legs are the slowest of any pre-war robot type, and it has fairly weak arms.

The Utility personality will warn of regulation requiring a hard hat at a job site. Putting one on will make the Protectron thank the player for complying.

Appearances

Utility Protectron appears in Fallout 4.
