The Vault 101 emergency frequency is a radio frequency picked up by the Pip-Boy 3000 after completing The Waters of Life and entering an area around Vault 101.

Background

Listening to the signal prompts the activation the quest Trouble on the Homefront. The frequency consists of a prerecorded message that Amata hopes the Lone Wanderer will here. Part of she says depends on whether of not Overseer Almodovar was killed during Escape!.

This is an automated distress message from Vault-Tec Vault 101. Message begins:
It feels like you left home a long time ago, but I know you're still out there. I just hope you're still alive to hear this.
