I ain't got any reason to talk to you. Scram.

Wayne is one of the three Freesiders that were attacked by NCR soldiers in 2281 precluding the quest G.I. Blues, along with his friends Roy and Farris.

Background[]

Wayne is a scavenger in Freeside. He, Roy and Farris just cashed in some scrap metal and decided to go to the Atomic Wrangler to try their luck at gambling when an attack occurred between two parties and they were caught in the crossfire.

Quests[]

  • G.I. Blues: Wayne can be asked about the attacks on him and his friends.

Inventory[]

Apparel Weapon Other items On death
Wasteland wanderer outfit

Notes[]

Asking him if he is holding anything from the Courier will result in losing Freeside fame, one of the very few times in the game where fame/infamy is lost. Alternatively, thanking him will result in gaining Freeside fame. In either case, Wayne will give you information and the quest progresses the same.

Appearances[]

Wayne appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenes[]

  • Putting the names of the three men together gets "Roy Wayne Farris" - real name of WWE Legend The Honky Tonk Man, who wrestled with an Elvis impersonator gimmick and is also the cousin of Jerry "The King" Lawler.
  • A subtle reference to "Lou Tenant" is made in Fallout: New Vegas during the quest G.I. Blues. When talking to Wayne about being attacked, he will mention that one of them was called Lou, and on further thought, Lou Tenant. He will then be corrected by his friend Roy, who says he means "Lieutenant," and that Wayne can be "dumb as a mutant."
