Weapon Handling is a perk in Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Lionheart.

Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics[edit | edit source]

You can wield weapons much larger than normally allowed. You gain a +3 to your strength for the purposes of Strength checks when trying to wield weaponry.

in-game description, Fallout 2

+3 bonus to your Strength for the purposes of using and meeting the requirements for weapons. The perk is not a particularly good investment, as well distributed skill points provide a superior bonus.

  • The Fallout 2 manual – p.113 – erroneously states that the Strength requirement is 1-9, instead of 1-6.

Fallout: New Vegas[edit | edit source]

Reduces the Strength requirement of all weapons by 2. With a Strength of 8 and Weapon Handling, the player can use every weapon with no penalty (the minigun requires a Strength of 10 to use).

This perk allows an Explosives or Energy Weapons focused Courier to effectively use any weapon from those categories with a Strength no higher than 6 and the appropriate skill requirements.

Lionheart[edit | edit source]

Weapon Handling adds 1 to your Agility and 3 points to One-Handed and Two-Handed Melee skills.
