Doctor Wilfred Dumont was a researcher at the West Tek research center in Appalachia before the Great War.
Background
Dr. Dumont was employed by West Tek's Appalachia facility. After the official company announcement that the Greenhouse Initiative would be moving to mutation-driven research as an extension of research on the Pan-Immunity Virion, Dr. Dumont sent a confirmation to initiative staff to inform them that the original goal to facilitate and control the production of genetically modified foods in a safe, practical manner was being radically shifted.
However, he did not have any specifics for what this entailed beyond what the West Tek notification contained. Additionally, Dr. Dumont advised staff that this recent announcement would void most staff contracts, so any effected employees would need to meet with him to discuss existing terms and possible transfers.[1][2]
Dumont begged Edgar Blackburn to stay at West Tek and work with him, promising the new work would be vital and challenging.[3] Blackburn would come to regret his decision to remain.[4]
