9mm FMJ ammunition. These bullets will load into any weapon capable of firing 9mm ammunition. In pre-War times, 9mm ammunition was used over the more powerful .45 ammunition because of its slight advantage at penetrating armor.— In-game description, Van Buren tech demo

9mm is a type of ammunition that was to appear in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios. It is also featured in the Van Buren tech demo.

Background[]

This section is transcluded from 9mm. To change it, please edit the transcluded page.

Before the Great War, 9mm was the preferred type of ammunition for small weapons in the American Southwest, while the military and the eastern and western seaboards tended to favor the more powerful 10mm ammunition. 9mm is also lightweight and easy to find.[1] One downside to 9mm was its infamous inferior lethality and has kept that reputation even after the Great War.[2]

Characteristics[]

9mm is the most popular ammunition type in the south.
