Barrel cacti are found in the Mojave Wasteland and Zion Canyon.
Characteristics[]
Found throughout the region, the barrel cactus produces fruit that can be harvested. Some plants found throughout the Mojave are withered. When harvested, the plant appears differently, with the fruit missing. The fruit will regrow over time, upon which the plant can be harvested again.
Locations[]
- Thirteen cacti can be found around El Dorado Dry Lake.
- There are approximately four plants by the Brooks tumbleweed ranch.
- There are three plants outside the western wall of Ranger Station Bravo.
- Farm patches inside and outside Westside contain a few of these cacti.
- Three in Goodsprings, two in a garden west of the general store, and one behind the wrecked house north of the schoolhouse.

Barrel cacti appear in Fallout: New Vegas and the add-on Honest Hearts.
Behind the scenes[]
The barrel cactus is based on the real world equivalent barrel cactus, native to the deserts of southwestern North America, with the largest specimens found in the Mojave Desert.
