Background

The customary uniform of Institute scientists, identifying the individuals' division association by way of color coordination.

Characteristics

The Institute lab coat provides no Damage Resistance, but adds a bonus of 2 to Intelligence. It comes in five distinct variations according to what department the scientist wearing it is assigned to: black for Synth Retention, blue for Advanced Systems, green for BioScience, yellow in Engineering, and orange for Robotics and Synth workers. Ballistic weave cannot be applied to the Institute lab coat.

The black variant is worn by Alana Secord, and can also be found in lockers throughout the Institute.
The blue variant is worn by Enrico Thompson.
The yellow variant is worn by Newton Oberly.
The green variant is worn by Dean Volkert.
The orange variant is simply named "Institute Lab Coat," and can be bought from the synth requisition officer.
