Bourbon is an alcoholic beverage in Fallout 4.

Characteristics

The effect of bourbon is very similar to that of vodka, as both can increase current/maximum health in addition to a boost to carry weight/melee damage (and a penalty to experience earned).

Once a player character is at level 30 or higher, bourbon will give a higher health boost than vodka (at level 30, one endurance yields 10 extra base health and 15 retroactive per-level health, matching the straight-up 25 health bonus of vodka).

Locations

Whitechapel Charlie usually has some for sale.
Cabot House will have stored bourbon bottles in cabinets.
One bottle of bourbon sits on a dresser in the locked cabin at Sunshine Tidings co-op.
One bottle of bourbon is on the bottom shelf behind the counter at the University Credit Union in University Point.
One in Andrew station
Another bottle is in a third-floor room in the southwest corner of Sedgwick Hall at University Point, behind an Advanced locked door. It will be sitting on a desk near a skeleton.
Shelbie Chase may also have bourbon for sale.

Survival

When Survival mode is active, this item increases thirst by 3.5 points.

Notes

Bourbon is needed to craft berserk syringes.
