Caravan customer was a background character who would appear when performing a caravan run to Lost Hills. The caravan would appear at the surface and random brothers and sisters would mill around, remarking that they're looking for Redaleks, complaining about the selection, Crimson Caravan, and prices, directing the player to speak to Cabbot or Darrell, and generally behaving like fussy customers. It seems they would have liked Far Go Traders.[1]
The idea of a dynamically appearing caravan seems to have been scrapped early on, as the dialogue file contains dummy voice files (eg. {Caravan_customer_001}) where talking heads voice clips are normally located.[1]
